Kwik Kar at 2978 & 1488

Staff was VERY friendly and helpful. By the time I handed over my keys and went to go light a cigarette one of the techs walked over and told me they were already done I was in shock. The paper work took longer than the oil change lol these guys are fast and very awesome. Will be back very soon! Thank you.

Took my father in law here today to get a oil change and windshield wipers on their 2010 Enclave. I’m new to the area, didn’t know where to take him and he had a $ 7 off coupon that came in the mail. The first thing I didn’t like when I arrived was that no prices were posted anywhere. How much could an oil change and wipers cost, try $ 115 after the coupon. The oil change was 39.99 plus 18 for synthetic blend plus 3 for oil disposal plus 2 for «special» oil filter and minus 7 for the coupon. They charged $ 47 for 2 wiper blades. When I got home I looked them up on Amazon, $ 14 a piece.
If you want to pay double for wiper blades, get and overpriced oil change, and not find out your being robbed until you check out, go here.

The owner and staff here are all great people. They’re very friendly and knowledgeable. They genuinely care about each customer and are polite and helpful. I can feel good about bringing my car here for any of my mechanical needs.

Being a lady, getting your oil changed is a pain. I don’t think anyone purposefully is harsh, it’s just the way it is. BUT NOT HERE! It was the greatest oil change of my life! They were fast: In and out in about 20 minutes. They even vacuumed and cleaned the windows. Even the people in the waiting room were friendly. I highly recommend them.

This place is terrible… the woman who said they were «courteous» and that the owner «cared» must be married to him. I went here last week and they broke a part while fixing my brake, didn’t have the part so I had to wait days. Then they tried to charge me for the part that they broke after assuring me they would pay for it since they broke it. No written notice, no apology, just a fat bill. The owner has yet to call me and the manager called me a liar.
…did I mention I came in for an OIL CHANGE.

Saturday:
Took my car in for a regular oil change. About five people sat in my car I think trying to turn the lights off, which I ultimately went out there and did for them. Why couldn’t they have just asked me instead of possibly making my seat dirty? While waiting one technician attempted to sell me fuel injector cleaning on my carbureted car (my car does not have injectors). Ignoring that red flag, I drove away to an auto parts store down the road to pick up some parts. Coming out of the store I saw an oil slick in the parking lot coming from my car not unlike that of the Exxon Valdez. Because I was very close by, I drove immediately back to Kwik Kar. No oil was seen on the dip stick, and they told me they had installed the wrong oil filter. No manager would talk to me. After realizing the only compensation the employees would offer for almost destroying my engine was a «sorry,» I drove home. Inspecting my dip stick when I got home revealed my engine was now overfilled by more than a quart and a half (also BAD for your engine).
The receipt showed Kwik Kar inflated my tires to 45 psi, 15 psi over the recommended 30 psi. While checking the tires, I noticed two of the valve stem caps were incredibly lose and could have come off during driving.
Monday:
John, a mechanic at Kwik Kar, returned my call and said to come in today and they would fix it. He also defended overfilling my car’s tires. His logic was that they usually fill tires to 5 or 6 psi below the maximum rating on the tire… The only way that would make any sense was if every car weighed the same, but I’ll let y’all reflect on the idiocy of that one-​size-​fits-​all approach.
After confirming the oil was indeed too full, he drained it to the correct level. Still no refund was given. John assured me that owner Vic Lawrence would call me tonight to fully resolve the problem.
Friday:
Vic finally called. I tried returning his call but he had left the office apparently right after telling me to call him back.
Summary:
If you are a fan of the circus look no further! I have found your shop. The amount of carelessness, lack of knowledge, and piss-​poor customer service displayed here is truly a spectacle. This is their definition of a professional oil change. Good luck!

Vic called me, apologized for completely failing me, and gave a refund.

Very courteous and professional staff. The owner truly cares about the customers. My SUV runs like a dream. I recommend going here.

I can’t believe that these reviews are about the Kwik Kar on FM 1488. We have had them service our 4 vehicles for several years and have never had a bad experience. From the owner on down everyone is friendly and helpful. Not pushy when they recommend additional services, clean waiting room, clean work areas, fast service, and nearly never a wait to get in the service bay. These guys are very professional and I would highly recommend them to anyone and have.

Warning to all women, this business will try to take advantage of you. They like to sale you products and services you don’t need are want. My wife went there on friday for an oil change. They added an airfilter even after she told them not to.

So I’m sitting here 10 minutes now and they tell me they don’t stock the correct Mobil One grade of oil for my Ford F350 diesel. How can this be? So on their 2^nd attempt to sell me higher priced oil and in my opinion not better I settled on the Royal Purple. I should probably have left but I need to drive out of town tomorrow. Well I’ll be checking their work even closer and probably pay for another oil change next week when I get back in town.
In the end the service was fast and friendly and I will probably return but I will call ahead to make sure they have the correct oil.

I had been taking my car here off and on for the last 3 years, after this past weekends experience my husband had — I will never take any of our 5 vehicles here. He went in for a normal oil change for our diesel vehicle.
The normal routine that goes along with an oil change… checking and topping off your fluids — they didn’t even do.
When they were trying to change out the filter — they were doing it incorrectly and my husband even mentioned to them that they had to take another part out to get to it correctly. They just brushed it off as, well we have new people. WELL if you hired new people shouldn’t they be TRAINED to actually work on all types of cars.
Needless to say, my husband was fuming and just told them to forget it. My husband does not get mad easily so for him to say he will never go to this place again — I knew he meant it.
They surely didn’t have a problem collecting the money from us. SO in essence we paid for NOTHING. No apologies, just excuses.
We will NEVER use them again and I will NEVER recommend them to anyone.
