My favorite IPA in the state(Yellow Rose) and my favorite Texas Brewery. We drove down from DFW just to visit the brewery and it was completely worth it. Thanks to the staff at Lone Pint and Trevor for answering all our questions and giving us a personalized tour.

Visiting from out of the state. Had the pleasure of meeting and talking to multiple owners. The beer and environment is great. They will do great things with the quality of beer and people.

Excellent Beer, and 3 X 16 ox for $ 10.00 is a wonderful bargain. Food selection lost a star, although I know, its a BREWERY, you want food: GOTOMICKY’D’s! But if you want to pair excellent beer and food, you’d better expect something besides watered down nachos and warmed-up convince-store pizza. Like a marriage between a Oil Tycoon and a $ 20 hooker. Anyway, beer is terrific.

Awesome brewery — I love that it still has the small brewery feel while serving well known, great beers. The workers and volunteers are nice. You can bring your own food — sometimes they have a food truck, will grill food there, or there is a Chicken Express within walking distance. Dogs welcome outside. Currently my favorite tour to go to!

I’ve never actually been here — but Yellow Rose is easily my favorite beer I’ve ever had. and Gentleman’s Relish is high on the list. This craft brewery in Magnolia is very special. I plan to visit in two weeks.

A must visit — make sure you get there for the tour! Very informative — and they will answer questions after the tour. $ 10 will get you a tour, glass(16 oz), and 3 tokens to fill up that glass!

What a great place to come out with friends or meet new ones for some highly rated beers.(#2 in Texas.) Friendly owners and operators. Definitely try the Yellow Rose and Gentlemen’s Relish to start. Most of the time, there is food and sometimes live music.

The Lone Pint Brewery is located just about an hour north of Houston in the beautiful Texas village of Magnolia. Although it’s not the largest brewery in Texas, the fine folks here at Lone Pint are truly doing big things! We had a chance to stop by the Lone Pint Brewery on a hot Texas summer day. There isn’t much better in my eyes than enjoying a nice cold Top Texas Craft Beer at the brewery with the great people who crafted it. So, that is exactly what we did! This brewery is small and personable. As we walked up, everyone greeted us with a smile, just like you would expect in a small Texas town. There are openings in both sides of the building so the breeze flows right through. The heady aroma of hops fills the air and that puts a smile on my face. There are picnic tables lined up on the patio where you can hang out with friends and family. It’s the perfect place to enjoy lunch on a weekend afternoon. Although they don’t serve food here, you are more than welcome to bring your own vittles. The Lone Pint Brewery is dedicated to creating distinctive local Texas ales that are tasty, hoppy and quaffable. It takes pride in the renewable energy that powers the brewery. One example of Lone Pint’s dedication to the environment is that the spent grain is fed to a local dairy farmer’s cows and the spent hops are composted. This small-town, American craft beer institution is undeniably producing wonderful beer here in Magnolia. I highly recommend you pay them a visit while on your tour of Top Texas Craft Beers… you will be hoppy you did!

A Saturday spent and Lone Pint is a great day. Their beers are well crafted and unique, and the set up is very enjoyable. They have large community style picnic tables, and a shed-like covering. The Saturday we were there, there was a father daughter team grilling up delicious Mexican food, and even handing out complementary tamales. You might be wondering why 4 stars instead of 5, this place sounds amazing! Well, two things. 1. If you are not an IPA drinker, this is not your spot. I believe 7 out of the 10 beers they were pouring(the numbers there might be off but the fraction isn’t), were IPAS, and the three that weren’t IPAs were hoppy as well as a nitro stout. However, if you like IPAs, this will be your personal paradise. 2. I’m hoping this was a situational thing, but all of the beers poured, were cool, but not cold. When it’s 100 degrees outside, I want my beers ice cold, and these were some of the warmer beers I’ve ever had anywhere. Hoping this was just a one day thing, but still had to mention. Despite those two set backs, it’s a nice set up, that brews high-quality beers, and a fun way to kick back on a Saturday with some friends.

«We can’t stop here, this is beer country.» Emphasis on the words«beer» and«country» because this is about as deep in the boondocks that I’ve driven for a brewery and, man, was it worth it. We beer lovers are used to the usual offerings in Houston but forget about the small guys that offer a punch in the mouth if only we make the effort to get there. These purveyors of the hops are situated off 249 in Magnolia, TX and are not only serving up quality brews but, also, good vibes, quality volunteers, and a seat to pass the time. For a mere $ 10 you receive a pint glass with their logo etched on it alongside three wooden tokens to trade in for any of their beer libations on tap. We missed the tour by an hour or so but I’ve seen large, metal tanks before so let’s just move on to why I came here in the first place; beer. I started with the«Yellow Rose», as this was one of their main staples, and followed it with«Tornado Shark» then«667 Neighbor of the Beast». I could go on and on about the flavors and tribulations of deciding on which to order next but why does my opinion matter? They were all quality beers and I was enjoying the day outside. I must say that Lone Pint sure does like to tip-toe on the IPA side of brewing which might not be good news for those who, like me, get a heavy stomach after a couple. The things I feel they could improve on are space via more tables and chairs alongside accepting credit cards. Regardless, the people we spoke with were courteous, helpful, and more than willing to fill our glasses. The pizza was fantastic(although that might have been the three pints talking for my stomach) and the space accommodating. I was informed by one of the volunteers that they do plan on expanding here in the near future, as well. So, those looking for a Saturday getaway to the country, look no further than Lone Pint Brewery. You can get your drink and taste of Texas in one stop.

This is pretty far out from town but it was worth the drive to come at least check this place out once. I liked that they had a grill going on and you can help yourself to the food for free. Donations are accepted for the food. They have picnic benches outside to hang out at. We went on a cold and rainy day so it wasn’t too crowded and we were able to find a spot to sit by the heater. If you like IPA beers you should definitely come try their beers.

OMG! I’m a fan! Yellow Rose is *the* best beer ever. My new fav, it’s pretty much what I drink now. The brewery is tiny! Quite a shock after the powerhouse of Saint Arnold(which itself is a small brewery, perspective needs a lot of adjustment here). Out in Magnolia. Sent a text to the hubster sayng so and he came back with«Mongolia?»(darn auto-correct) A little far to drive from Houston but not horribly so. Watch out for the Magnolia cops, they do buzz by the brewery and they will follow you. They tour Saturdays noon to 4 and they grill food gratis. They were doing sausage and boudin when we were there. Tip jar is out, I felt bad cause I spent my extra change on the beltway so when I go back, I’m going to have to tip double. Cost of tour is $ 10, cash only, you get 3 tokens and a 16 oz souvenir glass. BF was drinking Jabberwocky, a double IPA(be careful with that if you’re driving). They said they were about to start bottling(yay!) and I saw on the blackboard at Growler’s that they were about to tap Gentleman’s Relish, the brown ale. More Lone Pint beer is a good thing, methink!

I went with three friends to Lone Pint last week, in the middle of August, from the Heights area of Houston. Definitely a trek, but I feel it was worth checking out. They had around 6 or 7 beers to choose from. The tour came with three pints and I chose the pale ale, the brown ale and the imperial ipa. The brown was my favorite that day and the imperial was good but could have used a bit more aroma. I would highly suggest bringing chairs and even a table if you plan on sitting. They had food out and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. I’ll definitely go back when in the area!

Since these guys are new to the market, our visit there was peaceful as well as informative. Because they had only a handful of folks the day I was there, we were able to take the tour and really ask quite a few questions and they were more than happy to answer them. Their brews are great as well as creative and I always order me a Yellow Rose when available.

So glad that we made the drive out to visit this brewery as our last Texas brewery stop. These folks are making great stuff. If you can’t make it out to Magnolia, ask for a pint in your local watering hole in Houston. At the brewery, they offer three pints for $ 10 or free tasters. You’ll love the Yellow Rose!

Lone Pint makes great beer. We weren’t sure what to expect because they’re still pretty small and don’t have much info on their website, but they were playing host to a brewers’ club bottle share, so they were busy! The only negative– we were really hassled about our out-of-state IDs. Literally, «oh, you’re from MA? Crazy!!» passed our IDs around to five people, laughed, walked away with them. It was so embarrassing, and later the brewer apologized. If you want to be extra cautious, at least have an ID verification machine. Besides that, their beer is awesome. It was a great place to spend a Saturday afternoon and meet new friends. Beer tour is &10 for three 16oz pours and the glass. Good deal.
