Our first visit to Leonardo’s Pizzeria this afternoon. The hand tossed pizza crust was terrific. The service was prompt and friendly(owners working counter and kitchen). The Buffalo Wings arrived piping hot. The raspberry tea was a nice surprise. We’re adding this place to our list of regulars for simple, no-nonsense, great tasting pizza.

I think the pizza is good as well as the salad. I have no problem with the wait the day I went in since it was a fund raiser night. I am very supportive of those businesses that help the community. The wait was not even all that bad. I think if you go in on a casual night, it would be fine. There is not a lot of space to sit down. If it’s a really busy night you may have to wait, however I think there were maybe two families eating while the rest were waiting for take out. The staff are friendly and helpful.

For pizza places, they have tasty pies for sure and they are always a hit for crowds. Stop by here and get either the deep dish or thin crust pizzas. The pepperoni is a little sad though as it doesn’t have the spice that I would expect from good pepperoni, kinda bland I think. Seating is a little strange in the restaurant in that you only have a few tables and the bathroom opens right to the tables… Call ahead for take out and just eat at home for a tasty pie.

We brought 5 pizzas in for an employees birthday lunch. I have to say that I was very surprised at how good they were. Very old school type of pizza. Solid sauce and the crust is cooked perfectly. The biggest surprise was how great their white sauce pizzas are! Especially the chicken.

This is the best pizza place in the area. Crusts and sauces are made from scratch and they use only fresh toppings. They have more than pizza too. Check out their $ 5 lunch specials. Like them on FB and find specials and a chance to win a free lunch.

Great service and the best Chicago style pizza I have had outside of Chicago. The pizza did cost $ 20 making it a bit pricey but there is quite a bit to this 14 inch monster. The other pizza are fine but don’t really blow me away.

Ordered a Chicago-style pizza for carryout with sausage, mushrooms, and onion. The pizza was tasty, but having lived in Chicago and eaten the real thing, my search for a good Chicago-style pizza in Minneapolis continues. Leonardo’s crust was good. The sausage, mushroom, and onion were all good. The cheese seemed non-existent and the tomato sauce was very runny. So runny, in fact, that when my husband picked up the pizza, they told him they didn’t cut it because it would turn into a big soupy mess(which it did). In summary, Leonard’s makes a good tasting pizza. Their Chicago-style pizza is a decent attempt, but if they want it to be closer to the real thing, they need a LOT more cheese and much thicker sauce. Think lasagna on a crust(minus the noodles) and you’d have it just about right.

On my second order from Leonado’s I got a very quick delivery. The wings were tasty and golden brown. Then there was the pizza… It was bad. I ordered the Monster Meat Eater and at $ 16.44 for a small, it was expensive. I was hungry and went to grab a slice and guess what, it’s uncut. Well, I guess that’s their thing so I cut away. Sometimes when you try so hard to be different, you end up being just weird. This pizza was just that. The pepperoni was buried and the sausage was sliced on top. Sausage does not get crispy so it was just kinda tough. There was a bunch of ground up mystery meat so most of the taste was the sausage. I had a deep dish from here last time and it was much better. I really hate to throw it away but I don’t see it getting any better with age. Next time I’ll make the trip to Jet’s in New Hope and get a real pizza.

Went for the gluten free pizza. TERRIBLE service, SUPER over priced($ 29 for an under 11″ pizza???) Oh, and it tasted like cardboard. This place is a joke. Anyone can take a piece of cardboard, call it pizza, charge super ridiculous amounts of $$ and hire rude people to ignore customers. RUN don’t walk away.

Good Pizza, although pricey for pizza. We tried this at first due to their gluten free offerings. Their normal pizza pies are quite tasty, and they have a selection of specialty pizzas that are great. The inside of this place isn’t very big, a small handful of tables is all, so delivery may be best, but it’s worth it for a treat every once in a while!
