The salon is up to date and very clean. They open a new pack of nail utensils for every client. The girl that did my nails was very gentle and efficient. Love it here

Classical music plays in the background of this light and airy nail salon. The floors are well-​maintained and clean. Although there aren’t many chairs for manis and pedis (8 in total), I don’t mind waiting for what seems to be individual and personal service. It smells good in here, too. One lady is getting a neck massage with her manicure. Oh my! I wished I lived in the area or state. When I entered, I was asked immediately about how I could be helped. I was told there would be a 15 minute wait for my manicure. My nails are in dastardly shape after acrylic and gel manicures. So I’m opting for a regular manicure today. All I can say is marvelous darling. Such care and attention given to my pitiful cuticles. And for only 10 dollars you get a manicure and a neck and back massage. They better staphhhh!!! Definitely recommend.

First time here. I love it. Pedicure was so nicely done and massage with oil. I was in heaven!

Just moved to the area and was so happy that this great nail salon is right near my house. Gina is great! They do a great job!

Living in Brooklyn, NY I’ve experienced a slew of nail salons — the good, the bad, and the down right ugly/​scary. While visiting my boyfriend, I decided to treat myself to a fresh set of gels. After some Unilocaling stumbled upon this place.
This is by far one of the best nail salons I’ve been to. They’re outrageously friendly, super affordable ($ 25 for a gel mani!), and take great care in the removal of my polish, which is something I’m a stickler about. I’m sure you gel ladies know what I’m talking about… there are places that file the actual surface of the nail down so far they become paper thin and painful!
I’m looking forward to continuing to go here which is just one of the reasons I will never break up with my boyfriend. :)
Oh and also, this is my first Unilocal review, so there’s also something to be said for that.

A few months ago the ownership changed again. Sadly, not for the better – not even the same. Out of habit I returned here a few more times. The owner is friendly but the atmosphere has changed completely! The neon signs and posters cheapen the clean & tranquil look the previous owner achieved. I have been rushed or received bad manicures that chip after ONE day. I don’t think it’s nearly as clean and have had to ask for a clean sheet of paper towel under my hands.
The last straw was my recent visit when a customer arrived with two of her young children in tow. Now I understand it is not the owner’s fault for someone else’s poor decisions, nor can she control someone else’s kids, but she should have said something. These kids were running through the salon and were not only a distraction but an annoyance. The mom had no respect for the fact that other customers don’t want deal with her kids while she gets her nails done! I kept waiting for the owner to say something but she never did.
There are so many nail places around, I’ll find someplace else.

I have been going to Mahwah Nails and haven’t found a place that is as clean and meticulous about their work as they are. Mon-​Thurs $ 25 gel manicure. You can’t go wrong. They are also very nice :)

Tried this salon after having a bad experience with another salon in town. I was pleasantly surprised with Mahwah Nails. The salon is clean and the staff is very friendly. Jinny did my manicure and pedicure and she did a great job. I’ve gone a few more times and I even got a gel manicure and I’ve been very pleased.

They have done an excellent job with new owners and new everything! They do a great job on nails and won’t go anywhere else you can tell that they don’t use products that you have never heard of like most salons… They use quality nail stuff! It’s my favorite place in the area!

I should have listened to the previous reviews and stayed clear of this place. I specifically asked them Not to file down my nails too much, since I’m getting married (and spent six months growing out the blasted things). Lo and behold, they’re practically down to the quick. When I brought it to the manicurists attention, she insisted that I had asked for her to file them down that low and make them «square round». Customer Service 101 dictates that’s the wrong answer, especially since I was visibly upset by this new look!
Maybe I’m an over stressed bride, but I’m very proud of how long my nails had become and broke myself out of a nasty nail biting habit to get there. Nope, doesn’t matter, they’re gone. I just wanted to get out of there at that point, but upon careful inspection, my manicure took a detour to the 1980s and are now a flat topped, CROOKED square. My toes at least match in their jagged, stubby appearance. When I have enough of my nails back to actually have a proper manicure, I’ll never go back to this place.

I went to the salon for the first time today. I was very impressed with the care I received. The salon is very clean and most pleasant to the eye. The owner had a smile and so did the person who took care of me. I am very happy to have found Mahwah Nails. My last two salons closed up and it’s not easy to find another. I think I got lucky today

I came here to get my nails done for homecoming, and manicurist really went all out! I got a black color gel with gold sparkle gradient/​hombre! She even put a little yellow gem on a few of my fingers. The overall effect was gorgeous and I received so many compliments! They know what theyre doing.

This is the best nail salon ever. They are under new ownership so please don’t let the old reviews speak for the new amazing owners. They are patient and give a thorough manicure. I had a gel manicure that lasted over 3 weeks!!! Fair prices and amazing staff make this a must visit salon!!!

Manicure and pedicure and out in under 15 minutes — cost $ 45!!! No base coat. No filing — no cuticle removal — just polish on hands — soaked 5 minutes and polish on toes! Sprayed my toes and told me I was done — no sitting under the lights… STAY AWAY!!!
