It’s Mobile. It’s fine. The attendants can be surly at times. I’m not sure why some places are well staffed and others not as much.

I suppose the proprietors think the Mobil name, combined with the endless flow of traffic on Rt. 17, most of it from New Yorkers, who will do anything to avoid refueling in their own state(I don’t blame them; I’d do the same at those prices), allows them to treat anyone who drives up like rubbish. Tonight I pulled in and the surly attendant disrespected the driver ahead of me for taking too long to fish his credit card out of his wallet. I received the same treatment — just as I was about to hand my card to the attendant, he stormed off, yelling at me «Oh my God, everyone takes to long to get their card out.» Dude — really? Should I have my credit card in hand as I drive up, risking my life to exit this dangerous highway, to suit your convenience? When he finally came back, I handed my card out the window and he demanded«Speak!» as though he’d forgotten I said«Fill it with regular, please» as he walked away the first time. I snatched back my card, told him to forget it, and drove off. My first stop at this station was a no-sale, and my tires will never again touch their asphalt.

For a brand new gas station, this place has some low prices, but my best guess is that it’s because they are assuming the prices are what’s causing the lack in customers. Visit this station once and you’ll know why they need the to keep dropping prices. You pull in and you get the feeling that they are almost intentionally ignoring you. You sit at the pump for a solid 5 – 10 minutes before you’re blood starts to boil(if you’re an anxious maniac like myself), and then you get out of the car and start to do the shit yourself. Most of you poor non-jersey folk don’t know this, but it is actually illegal in our state to do it yourself so you are forced to wait on the lazy bastards that work there. I imagine some wealthy family bought this place for their lazy son-in-law and he is too busy taking rippers from the bong to properly manage the place so it’s gone to hell and taken the service right along with it.
