Sonic Drive-In

Slow service. I waited in the drive thru for 14 minutes the other day. While I applaud the person who came out to run my card through, he forgot to hand me my food and my card so I had to wait anyway (2 cars back). Made no sense? I went again last night, was the only person in to pull up in the drive thru, ordered tator tots and an icecream. Waited 11 minutes because while they made my icecream, they forgot to start the tator tots. The icecream was a snickers blastopia and they put a scoop or 2 tops. I can’t say I’ll be back anytime soon until everyone is trained or they’re under different management.

Happy hour doesn’t apply to shakes… Last I knew, you drink a shake. Ordered the peanut butter cookie dough blast. It was vanilla ice cream with 6 dough bites on top. Five dollars for a vanilla milkshake is excessive. Usually a nice Sunday shake will cap off the weekend, but like my parents always used to say, «I’m not mad, just disappointed.»

This was the slowest service ever. Waited 10 minutes to get through drive-​thru line of 3 cars. Waited 5 minutes to be greeted at the speaker. Had to repeat order 3 times for 3 drinks. On the plus side they did get the order right when we finally got out of there.

Caleb is the first word or name in this case for my review. Never been here before but always wanted to try. I went to use drive thru and was trying to yell from passenger side, long story don’t ask. That being said the guy working the microphone could not hear me so out came Caleb all the way to car to answer questions, then helped with and take my order, then worked up the most cost efficient price for us and never once seemed put out. Honestly as I’m writing this my son has yet to try and comment on the food but at this exact moment it could be a hockey puck and I would still be back just because this kind of service is so rare especially by someone so young!
Follow up fries and burger are a hit with my son, yeah. That is a wrap we will be back to hang and let the servers on roller skates take care of use to enjoy a blast of my childhood blast.

Any milkshake or ice cream treat is good, especially Oreo peanut butter. (Half price after 8pm)
Do not like their food, & anything that is fried tastes like they never change the oil in the fryer.

Typical fast food, but the experience of having someone bring your food to your car is always fun. Sonic does offer a wide variety of fast food options, shakes, drinks, and more. If you go during Happy Hour you can save a couple of bucks, which is a bonus. My personal favorite is the popcorn chicken, because it actually tastes like chicken as opposed to a McDonald’s chicken nugget.
The staff here is usually very friendly, which is not always the case with these sorts of restaurants.

Just went here for the first time ever even though my father in law loves the place. Finally went a friend also said very good. Tots very good. Breakfast burrito very good and with a kick! Chicago dog not bad. Fairly friendly.

Love this restaurant. I have been coming here since I was a little kid and I hope to bring my kids here as well. Recently redone the chance to step back into the old days of car hop service is even more accessable

My first time eating at a Sonic was actually in 2009 when we first moved to the area. However, it was not our first trip to a Sonic. We’ve tried to go to two other locations and never got service, even in the drive through.
The food is pretty good, the things to get excited about in my opinion would be the tots & the milkshakes. Do not get anything on their texas toast or their grilled cheese sandwich. The bread isn’t even that toasted, it was simply just warm bread.
