We came here for a wedding in the little reception room across from the swimming pool. The wedding went well. I was impressed with the lift chair for the swimming pool. The building looked clean and well kept. Plenty of coffee and drinks. I like that. Friendly counter staff. She helped us find our venue.

Pretty hotel, very clean, nice rooms, friendly staff, decent breakfast spread, in a good location with food close by. I would stay here again especially since they accept CLC, however, that being said… The downsides: Very thin walls, enough so that we were waking up all night to doors, voices, roller bags, etc. The most discouraging thing was the unreliable, slow wifi. I’m a business traveler so good wifi is critical for me.

My family has stayed at this location 4 times. The previous times were all pretty good. This time around housekeeping forgot us. I had to ask the desk for at least clean towels. I hope the rest of our stay service improves. At least the pool and hot tub were nice.

It took me 45 minutes to check in and I was the only person. Christine who has been working here 2 months was not properly trained on the procedure, this is after 2 months of working here. While I would gladly complain about the person who trained her, she refused to offer that information, and decided to take an attitude with me insted. Also the«High speed» Internet is only offering me one bar. As a business traveler this is unacceptable! Never stay here!!!

There are many good things to the property. However, it was ruined by the paper thin walls. Our neighbors weren’t being loud but we could understand their entire conversations. It was really fruatrating when we tried to sleep and couldn’t because of the noise. It wasn’t the neighbors fault as they were just talking. The breakfast was delicious. Staff was accomodating. Rooms were nice. Bed was comfortable. Soft and firm pillows were a nice combination.

If you need a place to stay in or neaR Maize, this is the place. The place was clean. Best part was the staff. They were very friendly and helpful. I sleep through the night. Didn’t hear any noises and I’m a light sleeper.

The hotel was very clean and the rooms were more modern than other hotels I have stayed at. Its also close to many new stores and restaurants. Not walking distance but only a couple minutes in the car. One downside is the pool is too deep for little kids. My 5 year old couldn’t touch.

Pros: New, decent location less than 1 mi away from shops, decent workout machines, nice staff, comfy bed! Cons: Breakfast had no fruit or flavored coffee creamer(coffee also wasn’t very good to begin with), bath soap smelled groooOOOOsss. I also did not receive a newspaper in the morning nor bottled water at check-in. Priority Club fail.

Yeah. It’s new. It’s pretty. But just like those book covers and pretty girls your momma warned you about, as soon as you get into them they are not so appealing. The good is the swanky décor, friendly check-in, easy internet, and comfy beds. The bad: HIE branded hotels all suffer from anemic shower heads and soap that makes me smell like Amish shoefly pie. I like the pie, but I don’t want to BE the pie. lol And newer hotels in the HEI brand are all stick construction with metal doors. I could here the guy in the room next to me… his Blackberry keys clicking and the phone vibrating alerts occasionally buzzing. I shit you not. Every door within ten rooms of you, above you, and below you… you will hear them all shut. If there are kids or a fat ass, heavy walker above you, you are completely screwed. At least this hotel is not like so many newer HIE units… right next to a blazing busy freeway. I would only stay here again if I had to. 2 stars is being kind. I come here to sleep first, all the other stuff is BS if you can’t sleep.

Love it! It is beautiful! I feel like I am in a hotel in NY. It is decorated fun and trendy. Super clean, tons of outlets, tons of lights, Priority Club check in gift, free internet, free breakfast… Only bummer– no toothpaste back up plan for travelers that forgot theirs! This will be my regular Wichita hotel!
