Aubrey did a family photo shoot and surprise vow renewal for us in June 2015 on the island of Maui. She and her staff did an amazing job from start to finish!
I started by interviewing over the phone a handful of photographers on Maui. Aubrey was by far the most professional, personable, and detail oriented photographer that I interviewed. I followed the interview up with several emails and follow up phone calls. She was very patient in answering all my questions. Without meeting her in person, I felt very comfortable in signing the contract and paying the deposit.
As the photo shoot date approached, communication was clear and concise from Aubrey. With it being a surprise vow renewal and having two young children part of photo shoot, Aubrey was more than helpful, offered great advice, and was extremely flexible. Aubrey suggested locations and times ideal to better quality photographs in addition to ease of access based on our location on the island and practicality for our young children.
The beach in front of Mama’s Fish House was ultimately chosen. Thankfully, the day of the shoot was beautiful with limited wind and few beachgoers. Aubrey and her assistant were on time, well prepared, engaging, and extremely efficient during the shoot. It was an approximately 1.5 hour long photo shoot, and Aubrey and her assistant kept our young children smiling the entire time. How they did that, I don’t know, but I’m guessing a lot of experience working with children!
It only took a few weeks before the photographs were ready for viewing. Aubrey is definitely very tech savvy. She provided a website for us to access, view, and order our photos, as well as a handy app for our IPhone’s which we downloaded and use regularly to show off the beautiful photographs. And when I say «beautiful»… I mean it, the photographs are simply wonderful. We are most impressed by the colors and depth of Aubrey’s photographs as well as the lack of background interferences (difficult at a public beach). We ended up ordering a coffee table book which really turned out awesome.
If you’re looking for a photographer to capture your special memories while in Hawaii, I can’t urge you enough to contact Aubrey today. You won’t be disappointed!

Aubrey did a newlywed photo shoot of us during our honeymoon in Maui. We had such an amazing experience with her! She is so incredibly talented and we had a blast during our shoot. We’ll cherish the photos she captured of us forever! My favorite part of her work is the natural happiness her photos just seemed to capture. She captured smiles I know we have but rarely get photographed. The photos are very special. She is a master at her craft. She’s also so incredibly first rate. She’s lightning-​fast responsive, and so thorough about every aspect of the process. She also makes you feel like family when you’re visiting, from taking the time to make awesome recommendations to her hospitality and warmth when you meet her! Aubrey is a really special person and a privilege to work with. Amazing experience working with her. We could not recommend her more highly! She’s absolutely hands down the best!

There is nothing like a perfect moment ruined by a sobbering snapshot. Aggh, who is that? No, it cannot be… I thought I looked so particularly fetching, I was flirting. Did I make a total fool of myself? What a cold shower: Illusion shattered, spell broken, Cinderella at the ball no longer. Forget this vacation, I can’t stomach the idea of showing these pictures to anyone else.
What? The others look just fine, it would be a shame to toss their memories too? Nah, it’s just a boyfriend; eventually I’ll forget he ever existed, no biggie. Oh no, this one is my husbund, the only one I hope to ever have. Now that’s a little different. And now there are the kids. I am prepared to suffer for their sake, but does it have to be? Is there no other way?
Presto! Here is where Audrey comes in. She is the fairy godmother in this story. She can make magic.
She calls you up and scopes you out. She suggests the time of day when the lighting is least harsh. She picks out perfect places, and turns on a dime when you realize that the impending lack of heels freaks you out. Then she gently coaxes you into throwing caution to the wind and loosing the heels, anyway. And guess what, those are the best pictures!
She pacifies the beast of your daughter, suddenly accutely aware of the imaginary blemish on her knee, and extracts the happiest of smiles. She is so cool, she actually does not incur the derision of your teenage son. She makes you forget that you are waisting two hours of your precious sitting-​in-​the-​cabana-​with-​a-​slushy-​drink time, because you are actually enjoying yourself. You feel like she is your friend, and you want to come and visit her again. And then you do, and you still feel that way! The other two photogrhers I had in Hawaii did not make me feel that way, but she did.

I have always wanted a photo of our family in our most special vacation spot, Hawaii!
I searched blogs and websites and nothing jumped out at me until I found Aubrey! Her pictures were beautiful. They had the upscale quality I was looking for. The colors were so vivid and pictures so natural! We met at a beautiful beach and we were all at ease within minutes. Even my husband and son had fun and they don’t like taking pictures as much as my girls. She found a way of capturing our family and our personalities through her lens. I am so thrilled with my pictures and so were all our friends and family. I will be calling Aubrey again as our family expands and we visit the island again!

Aubrey was GREAT! She’s high energy and so very patient! We had family photos taken with a couple of little ones that didn’t want to cooperate at times, but she kept getting us back on track. Our photos turned out amazing. She was more than willing to work with us to design a package that fit our needs. We can’t wait to go back to Hawaii and have her take more family photos!
