Great food, and even better service. When his credit card reader wouldn’t work, he gave us our food and said just come back and pay tomorrow or whenever. Now just have to get back down there! :-D

A great family owned food truck with delicious BBQ. We had the fish tacos, pulled pork nachos, and grilled pineapple! We were able to visit their truck at the Maui Brewing Co after a tour.

Perfectly fresh and delicious! The pulled pork tacos are excellent, but the grilled fish tacos are out of this world. The pineapple and island slaw on the fish tacos imparts just the right amount of island sweetness. Simple and complex at the same time, and very satisfying. Jerry and Linda were incredibly friendly and their French bulldog, «Bully,» is adorable. What more do you need for a casual meal? As an alternative to heading down to Big Beach, Jerry and Linda have their truck at the Maui Brewing Company brewery on Lipoa Street in Kehei on Saturdays for lunch and Wednesdays for dinner. You can take the food inside the brewery tasting room and enjoy a beer or root beer. Perfect! Don’t be misled by the price on the tacos($ 9.95). You get two tacos per order and the portion is generous. Extremely fair price for what you get.

BBQ!!! Nomnomnom. Years we have visited Jerry & Linda(did you know she’s a Canuck?) I’d say… yeah, I have his cell #, friendliest folk with real aloha. Celiac? Need gluten free? Fish tacos. FRESH fish. Now don’t get all funky-there’s hot sauce to kick it up a notch if you happen to need a little more spice in your life. I happen to appreciate that the fresh, beautiful texture of the fish shines through. Darn. Forgot to ask what the catch of the day was yesterday. No matter. Soft HUNKS of beautifully cooked fish, light creamy sauce, salsa and slices of fresh sweet pineapple. Not a fish lover? No problem. The sliders(I’m told by my other half who can eat«regular») are Ono. The purple taro buns are soft, and really compliment the pulled pork. You can’t miss the green trailer with the open area on the front with a smoker & grill. If you don’t see it on the right side when you drive to Makena State Pk,(Big/little beach) they’re either not there yet, or they have a gig at Maui Brewing or booked for a special event. They have wheels-having a wedding or a party… what’s better than the food coming right to you? Plus, Bully the frenchie. Hours of fun with the little black bullet. There are two other taco trucks in the area… sure, you can try them, this is where you’ll end up if you want good food and great aloha.

Truck not in location and drove up and down the area searching for it. Also called and phone went right to voice mail that wasn’t even setup! Fail. Would suggest for all Maui food trucks to call ahead since this wasn’t the only fail when searching for a specific food truck on Maui. Unilocalers, hope you have better luck then us.

Pulled pork sliders, FTW. We randomly found this place after a snorkeling trip and it was one of the best(and cheapest) meals we had in Maui. The sliders were on point and the macaroni salad was to die for! Also, try the lemonade — it is delicious.

We absolutely love this place! Every time we come to Maui we have to stop several times for fish tacos! Although everything they make is fabulous! Food is always fresh and service is outstanding. I appreciate their prices as well. It’s refreshing to find great food and great prices. If ever in Maui, do yourself a favor and stop by Big Beach BBQ for a wonderful lunch or snack!

Five stars for service and food. If you’re with friends order the fish tacos and pulled pork sliders and share. You’ll be sad you missed out on trying both otherwise. There aren’t any shaded places to eat or tables, that’s about all that is missing to make this place perfect but the sacrifice of eating in the car is worth it. We also visited in the hottest month of the year so its likely not as big an issue for other folks. Avoid the chains and junk fried food on the island and eat here! You’ll be glad you did.

Best beach side BBQ! There are a couple beach side lunch spots but by far Big Beach BBQ was our favorite! The service was fast and easy and the food was amazing! We are locals and we do know how to BBQ some good chicken but that secret sauce is to die for! We have stoped a few times and have never been disappointed with any of the dishes. Thanks for making our beach trip enjoyable! We will be back!

I had the pulled pork sliders(which comes with pineapple slaw and mac salad), and my wife had the bbq nachos. Was around $ 20 total, food was delicious — and it’s a great lunch spot. Lady and man running the stand were very friendly, you definitely need ot try this place if you are in the area. Highly recommended!!! Not much seating around, so best to just eat in the car or grab n’ go.

Big Beach BBQ was a great lunch stop on our way back from the beach. Directions were not accurate on the map but we found them alongside the road. Service was quick and friendly! I would recommend the pulled pork sandwich. It comes with Mac salad and mango slaw, very filling! Fish tacos were okay. Loved the homemade taco sauces.

I dropped by for fish tacos and was disappointed with the taste. The fish and fresh and nice but the overall lacked flavor, even tough I used hot sauce was still missing salt and other seasonings. That service was great, people very welcoming and warm. They had an amazing lemonade with passion fruit.

Great food truck near big beach. The pulled pork sliders and fish tacos are good for heading to or from the beach. I got a treat from the owner and pit master, some smoked fish marinaded in pineapple juice and brown sugar. It was fantastic! Also say hi to the friendly dog, he likes to play fetch with his ball.

This is my favorite food truck on Maui. It is worth the stop even if you aren’t hungry. It’s also worth the drive for the food alone. Jerry and Linda know what they are doing when it comes to smoking meat. Good smoked meat is hard to find on Maui. It’s different than Hawaiian style. Jerry’s meat is tender and has great flavor. It stands alone. But his homemade bbq sauces and hot sauces are not to be missed. Put them on anything, the mac salad, coleslaw, tacos or sliders. They are delicious and really take the dishes to another level. They use fresh, local ingredients and there’s no mass production to their items. When they are out, they’re out for the day. It’s not a bad thing, just try whatever he has. Everything is good, especially if it has his pork on it. Don’t miss the lilikoi lemonade. it’s made fresh with lilikoi from Hana. Be sure to say hi to Bully, their dog. He’s friendly and loves to play fetch. Jerry also does catering, so if you’re having a party I’m sure his food would be a crowd pleaser.

Stop by here before you head to Big Beach. Delicious pulled pork sliders on soft taro buns with a side of slaw and fresh pineapples. The pulled pork was moist and the bbq sauce not too sweet. We also had the fish and pork tacos, which were also really great good. They have a bunch of sauces too to put on your tacos. The owners are super friendly too, which is always a plus. I’d come back for sure, especially for those pulled pork sliders.

My wife and I, vacationing for the week on Maui, were fortunate enough to come upon this jewel of a food truck while exploring the West Coast of the island south of Kihei. Thank you Unilocal!Linda and her husband are lovely people who do a fabulous job of preparing the best fresh fish and pulled pork tacos this side of heaven. And yes, one of each is their combo, but not on the menu. They make all their own salsa and sauces from ingredients they grow themselves right alongside their food truck in paradise. If you’re anywhere on the island take the drive, it’s beautiful and well worth the trip. The photo is my wife and I after we’d enjoyed our fabulous lunch treat.

On the windy and bumpy road to Big Beach, my family and I passed by Big Beach BBQ and vowed to stop by for fish tacos after our beach trip. I’m glad we got it AFTER hitting those waves, cause we definitely needed a pick-me-up after getting man-handled by those 15-footers… What I love about Maui… it’s totally chill if you pull your car up on the side of the road and park there: beach, fruit stand, tacos, etc. And that’s what we did. We parked a few feet away from the truck and proceeded to have some awesome fish tacos. We ordered 3 orders of fish tacos and 1 order of one fish and one pork(about $ 10 an order). Ugh, after checking out the pictures, WHYDIDWENOTGETTHEDAMNPORKSLIDERS? The taro buns look so good… I definitely missed out. Regardless, the tacos live up to the hype! And, as for the prices, YES, it is pricey, but everything on Maui is pricey cause tourists(my bad). We waited around 15 minutes for our orders, and while we waited, we sat on the little colorful bench set up in the back and played with Bully, the owner’s little Frenchie. We ended up giving him an empty coconut cause, apparently, he likes to chew on ball-like things. What a cutie. :3 After we got out tacos, we slathered on the guava chili sauce, which is just… essential. Sweet and HELLA spicy, ya gotta do it right. So refreshing, but it kicked my mouth’s ass. But I welcome that, sometimes, ya know? For tacos. The chili sauce made the experience for me. The owner was great conversation and shared his story with us while we enjoyed his creations. If you’re in the area, stop by this guy’s truck and have some awesome tacos.
