TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE. Stay away from this place. I went in to take advantage of a promotion Metro PCS is having. The promotion according to the online advertisement is select phones for 25.00 $ I went in to look at the selection and I noticed that the phones were marked up to 35 dollars. I asked why and was told that the phones although technically were 25 dollars, they were only 25 dollars if you bought them in a bundle, and the bundle was 35 dollars. This 35 dollar bundle consisted of… wait for it… a 3 dollar case they most likely bought in bulk from ebay. Whatever. 35 bucks for a phone and case isnt bad so i made my purchase. Not before being informed I would also be charged a 10 dollar activation fee, oh cool…
After taking the phone home and realizing it was useless, I returned it the next day. Upon attempting to get my refund I was told that the case was non refundable… and that since the case had a supposed mfsrp of 15.00, thats how much I would not be getting refunded to me. When I asked to speak to a manager the person informed me that THEY were the manager, I couldnt help but laugh because I couldnt picture this person running a lemonade stand let alone a store.
This is the kicker, after all this, this lady tries telling me that the reason my phones performance was substandard is because it was a 3g phone, and what I needed was a 4g phone. That could have made sense If the performance issues were with data transfer, but the issues were with the most basic functions of operating a phone like opening and closing apps, and using the keyboard.
Plan and simple, they SCAM people, they are not well educated on cell phone technology, which you really should be if you are a «manager» at a cell phone store.
If you live in this area and are looking for a metro phone, dont go here. Go to Metro Pcs on the lynnway in Lynn, nice staff, knowledgable and they dont run petty scams.
