One of the worst places I’ve ever been to. Wish I could give it less than 1 star. Food and service was terrible so please don’t waste your time.

The hostess was high on pills or something. The waiter was drunk. The kitchen was a really slow food truck. At first we thought it was a joke… waited for Ashton Kutcher and the Punkd crew to come out. Finally we gave up… they need Bobby Flay. Go to Dukes.

This place sucks so bad. The prices should be illegal for what they’re surviving. They are a joke of a business.

The previous restaurant(Beachcomber) was amazing– excellent Kobe beef burgers, mango shrimp ceviche, and clam chowder. I was prepared to be somewhat disappointed but nothing prepared me for this dining experience on August 18. Pro: I was allowed to have my small dog while I dined, that was nice! I got my water refills really fast! Con: Thai ahi tuna tacos– dry, tasted frozen; cabbage with a dash of thai peanut sauce that didn’t taste thai or peanuty; and standard dry tortilla uncooked or steamed. It’s supposed to come with chips and quacamole, and it did come with the festive red and blue Tostitos, but only stock Pace picante salsa. When the waiter asked how everything was, I told him I was extremely disappointed and while he seemed genuinely sorry(not his fault, he didn’t cook it), he walked away and didn’t ask what he could do to make it better or if I needed something else. Servers aren’t in any kind of uniform– it looks quite unprofessional, which I could get past if someone was actually manning the host stand or at all acknowledging a new customer sitting down– for a very slow Saturday afternoon, the two waiters were running around like crazy and almost all the tables I heard calling out to get their waiter’s attention. The menu is disappointing, but then again if my meal had been worth the $ 14, I’d have been thrilled to pay it– the view is still kick ass. And yes, I also got a handwritten bill, as well.

worst experience EVER. bad service, bad everything. When I tried to complain nobody listened or even came back to hear me. The menu was FULL of yummy cocktails they are supposed to sell but they only serve beer and wine. The kitchen was non existent and closed and wherever they got the food was not from anywhere I would ever want my food to come from. Three families left at the same time and I polled them their dining experience they said the same.HORRIBLE. Don’t even bother wasting your time. this place SUCKS

Friendly hostess, let me park my bike. Despite arriving before the lunch rush on a Saturday afternoon, I had no set up, the service was terrible, with long waits before and after I ordered(drink and food) Great view of the surfing beach. Waiter close to Steve Martin’s absent minded waiter, I wish I had a big bill. Fish tacos and guacamole were just OK.

suck it up here it comes. went to the malibu pier to eat. usually we get here and the café is open. we pulled in the lot and parkednext to a food trailer by Kamal. thought it a bit wierd. went into the restaurant, seated at the window looking over the peir. great view. but thats it! the waiter came over to the table and offered to take our drink order, we ordered boddy mary’s and waters. he said he makes them, they were not bad, considereing they were in a smaller glass. not like the bloody mary towers most beach restaurants serve. our food order was camalari as a starter, i ordered hummas and pita, others ordered pulled pork sandwich, wigth salad, and roast beef dip sandwich with greek salad waited 30 min, then the food came out, in japanese steam baskets, interesting way to serve, placing the food on the table the server states by the way we are out of calamari, this took over 30 min to find out, we wondered why we did not get out appitizer, the hummas was in a ramakin surrounded by pita and taco chips. but the pulled pork sandwich came with fries when we ordered salad, the roast beef dip sandwich came with out the dip. we were tokd they had not made the dip yet, and the salads would be out. the salads came out 10 min later, large chunks of cucumber and bell perrer with a mock dressing not sure what. the pulled pork meat died days ago and was pork jerky, same for the roast beef, dry, old stringy mess, un edible. then the dip came out after we had the meal 15 minuites, dip was useless. we they asked who was cooking and were tokd it was all coming out of the 10 foot trailer in the parking lot!!! if we knew this going in we would have not eaten here!!! what crap food, not good at all, not worth calling food. we were told there was no manager every here, and jimmy was across the street, the waiters were running willy nilly crazy in the restaurant with no direction, sorry this is a lost cause, we are so sorry we went here

This was hands down the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. We went to Jimmy’s because if it’s beautiful location and seemingly great menu, but we soon found out that despite the many options on the menu, only about 10% of the items were actually in stock. After ordering the French dip, 30 minutes later the server came back to say they had no bread. We switched to the cheeseburger. 10 more minutes passes, «no buns». After also hearing no crab cakes, we asked what they did have. Meanwhile, no drink refills, a horrible excuse for guacamole, and little to no service. The server said, we have tacos. Ok– we ordered shrimp tacos. 20 mins later we each get one taco, more bagged guacamole and chips. When asked where the second taco was, the server said they were running out of tortillas so they only gave us one. At that point we were so defeated we ate our one taco, and signed up for Unilocal just to prevent anyone from ever experiencing our pain. Not to mention, the bathrooms had no soap– who knows what that actually meant for our food. Don’t even try. Jack in the Box across the street is a better choice.

Do not go under any circumstances. The view is great but the food and service are horrible. The waiters don’t care and hardly came by to fill up water. We ordered the French dip sandwich and after 10 minutes the waiter came by to say they didn’t have any bread. We then ordered the burger sliders and after 5 minutes they came back to say they didn’t have buns either. Ok, so we ordered fish tacos but only got one since they had a limited amount of tortillas. The guacamole was from a bag and tasted old. The kitchen is actually a trailer in the back, so I doubt the freshness of the fish or anything else. I love eating from food trucks but this was a joke. They also didn’t have calamari or salmon and a number of people left without ordering. I didn’t tip which was the first time ever due to how bad it was. Overall, horrible food, miserable service and I’ll never go back.

Worst restaurant I have ever eaten at. Wish I checked on Unilocal first! Order the«blended» margarita on the menu… No blender. Order a meal with the garlic fries… No fries of any kind. Order another meal and waitress comes back after 20 minutes and tell us they are out. The shrimp was cold… Too bad they were cooked and should be hot. The staff don’t care and probably could not get a job anywhere else. This place should be on «kitchen nightmares», Gordan Ramsey would have a heart attack!

This place should just shut down it’s so bad. 1st — you see the reviews about the service, all true. Service is downright awful. I can go to a McDonald’s or Jack In the Box and get 100 times better service. 2nd– place is way overpriced. We ordered the $ 10 calamari which tasted very similar to the frozen kind you buy at Costco. The portion was tiny. 3rd — the beer i ordered was warm and the soda was flat. I asked for a new beer and our waitress gave me a look like i’m from another planet. Who wants to drink a warm beer at the pier on a bright and sunny day. 4th — food service was terrible. the restaurant was not full but the kitchen still ended up being backed up? how is that possible? I kept asking my wife if I should go back there to take a look at what they are cooking on because it doesnt take 45 mins to grill a piece of chicken. The couple next to us received half of their order and decided to just leave without paying. We should have taken that as a sign. The host and waitress had no idea what happened to them and were all confused. The couple adjacent to us complained about how long its taking to get a salad with a piece of grilled chicken on it. 45 mins of waiting for our entrees we decided to leave. Waitress said the kitchen got backed up, there were empty tables all around us. 5th– whoever is managing this place needs to find a new profession. obviously no kitchen management is taking place, front is not being managed properly and they should be more selective on who they hire for the servers. STAYAWAYFROMTHISPLACE!!! YOUWILLREGRETIT!!!

This place is a joke. They serve nothing fresh, its all prepackaged and heated. The food sucks, the service sucks, the price’s are ridiculous, especially for what they are serving. The only thing this place has is a great view of the ocean. And good luck with parking, because they don’t have any.

The portions were small, the food was mediocre, the drinks were bad and it was too expensive. I felt taken advantage of as a customer. Will not be back.

Shrimp cocktail: frozen shrimp and probably out of the box dip Bbq Slider: good but the buns take away from the slider. Fresh mahi mahi: Ahi tuna tacos: very dry. It came with guacamole and lemon but neither really helped the taste. Chicken fingers: it’s Chicken fingers. It wasn’t dry which was good. This was for a part of five, my mom didn’t want to eat. I read the bad service reviews so I timed them. Took twenty minutez for our food to arrive. There were three other parties here. Our server handed us the check, we paid and walked out. We were called back because she didn’t add tax. Um… excuse me but if you didn’t add tax that’s your loss. Most places calculate tax with the bill but I guess not here. Being the good people we were we paid and tipped her.

Awful. Really awful. After beachcombers(the previous tenant, which was a good place), this was a major disappointment. The setting is great, but everything else sucked. The service was slow, uninformed, and clueless in general. They were out of items on the menu and seemed to do workarounds. I ordered an angus burger and got two small overlooked sliders. Worst place I’ve eaten in years.

This is going to have to be a review in flux. Jimmy’s is still trying to get their footing and are transitioning into their space so they are functioning more like a «pop-up» restaurant. Everyone was very friendly and the service was sketchy at times but I’m understanding and realize they aren’t working at capacity yet. That being said, the chips and guac was great(and complementary!) We had the salmon and sliders. The sliders were good I only wished they offered them as a full size burger. The fries were good too. I’ll have to check back and see how things have changed once they are open in their full space.

I am very easy to please, but this restaurant did not make me happy in the least. The location isn’t even worth it. It is Saturday evening(6:15pm). My husband and I were looking for a snack. There were 5 couples seated, and no other customers. The girl who showed u to our table was the only thing good about the place. We sat for 10 minutes before our waitress came over. I told her we were hungry and she said the kitchen didnt open until 7pm. But we could get drinks. I asked for a drink menu and she said they did not have one, they have only had their liquor license for a week and a half. When asked what they had, she looked at me blankly. I asked about red wine, she left and came back with«we have a merlot and two Pinot noirs». No vintners, just types. I ordered a Pinot and my hubby got an iced tea. I asked for A snack and was told I could get chips and salsa. 20 minutes later, she brought our chips and asked my husband what he ordered– she forgot when she went to get the chips(stale and tasteless). At 7pm, I asked to place our appetizer order– hummus, guacamole, and garlic fries. I was told the kitchen is still behind. I also asked for another wine. At 7:35 we got our food– still waiting for the wine. Hummus was good. Fries were cold. Guacamole was smooshed avocados(so much for the spices and such.). Didn’t get my wine until after the food. The food was bland, but the service was horrid. I am a former waitress and bartender and have never tipped less than 20%. Today, I only gave 12%(which was still more than she deserved.) my husband swears there is some nepotism going on, otherwise, why would anyone in their right mind hire such a ding bat?(strawberry blond waitress in her early 20’s and clueless.). Whatever you do, stay away from this place. Over priced, horrid service, and detestable food. 2 hours of my life have been stolen.

Yeah never coming back again. First and last time stopping by here. We arrive and are told there is a 30 minute wait when the place is practically empty. We go back after 5 minutes and still nothing has changed and told them to seat us. They checked the waiting list that had our name only and about 15 empty tables. They take our order and we wait several minutes and they bring out our drinks(very limited drink menu). My husbands Dr Pepper was flat and he said it seemed like it was left open for a while. We sat for several minutes and they bring out my husbands order(which was all wrong) and mine was no where is site. We ask a waiter about our order and she asks that our server comes over. The server comes and tells us they took our order to another table. We wait for several more minutes for food that was bland and not worth the wait. The service was bad… the food was eh and the environment was not so pleasant. While the seating is on deck w/the view of the ocean there are so many bugs and birds so you don’t enjoy yourself. I am surprised my review is the first one and that there are no other bad revises on this place…

Terrible service! It took forever to get our guac and chips(which were pretty tasty actually). I didn’t see any great vegan options on the menu, so I ordered«mixed greens, or plain lettuce» with«oil and vinegar.» My salad came out with cheese on it so I sent it back. It came back to the table with some kind of raspberry vinaigrette on it, which I didn’t want, but I ate it anyway because it had already been over an hour and I was hungry. The view was nice. Someone asked me if I would go back here, and I said I might come here to enjoy the view and have a drink. Then I was informed that they didn’t sell alcohol here. I guess this was my first and last time here, then.
