On our way to see the Andy Warhol’s exhibit at the Frederick R Weisman Museum of Art at Pepperdine University, we decided to stop by Tra di Noi(TDN) which I haven’t been there for a while. I love TDN. They use the freshest ingredients, and I am just so weak when it comes to places such as this! Truly, everything on the menu is delicious, so let’s get on with what we ordered. For a party of 4, we shared the following dishes. We had the Pizza Vegetarian($ 19), Tuscan Kale salad with dressing on the side($ 18), Fettuccine Arago($ 28) and the Pomodoro spaghetti home made($ 20.50). We had ice tea and Arnold Palmer for drinks since we needed to drive responsibly to see the Andy Warhol art exhibit after. We specifically requested for NOGARLIC and NOONIONS, and they were able to accommodate without hesitation. Without the heavy power of the garlic and onions, we were able to truly taste what the freshest food should really taste like. Every dish was cooked to perfection and absolutely DELISH! A little olive oil with some sea salt, I am in heaven. As I have repeatedly mentioned in all of my reviews, a huge thumbs up for places where spice is a choice and not forced! This puts Tra di Noi to the top of the list of my «to go places»!! Tra di Noi has both indoor and outdoor seating with excellent relaxing family atmosphere where kids are welcome. Parking is easy and what can I say, it’s Malibu, one of the most beautiful cities in the world! Malibu, I love you!

The best Italian food in LA!!! I love their service, Tarcisio makes sure that he makes you feel at home at his restaurant. They have a nice patio and delicious food. Great selection of wine and great desserts. You have to try this place if you haven’t yet.

I ordered to go from this restaurant and was more happy about the service than anything else. Initially they didn’t have what I wanted, which was gnocchi, so I ordered the regular chicken alfredo. The man at the counter asked me if I wanted them to make my order with pink sauce used in gnocchi instead of the alfredo sauce and I said yes. He even gave me a discount for my food. When I received my order, I was surprised at how large the portion was. The pink sauce really made a difference. I will definitely be returning to Tra Di Noi to get my pasta fix.

Sharing a wide noodle pasta with shrimp, clams and scallops, my date came after a good hike around the beach. We were hungry and ready to enjoy something for the road. I did not like the scallops, neither did she and she loves scallops. It just did not taste fresh. No-one got sick. So, it is fine. If it were not for the courteous servers, I would have not given a three. I will give a plus for them. I will not be returning here. I’m sure the other dishes looked appetizing. I would not avoid this place. I just wouldn’t order what I got.

They are local… they use local service people… then don’t pay them for the work.

Ate a simple pizza with tomatoes and mozzarella– yummy but could be more tasty. It was good don’t get me wrong, but not to die for. BUT the calamari was super good, but didn’t seem Italian. The calamari seemed more Asian because of the sauces used– but still good! Our server was excellent, but the host(woman) who seats people at tables wasn’t welcoming at all. If anything I said hi to her and bye to her. So in that sense, maybe someone more welcoming would be nice. Overall, nice night out.

I’ve always enjoyed Tra Di Noi until the last time my friend and I went, when I got food poisoning from the veal gnocchi. I think there’s some sort of epidemic in Malibu, my friends have gotten food poisoning in a couple other«fine dining» establishments in the ‘Bu recently. Pretty disappointing as our happy hour spots are dwindling!

After years of avoiding this restaurant following a couple of bad experiences coupled by unnecessarily large tabs I was convinced to return by a couple of foodie friends. I’m glad I did. They’ve upgraded the outdoor furniture, the service and the food. If you enjoy outdoor dining call the restaurant(don’t just make reservations on OpenTable) to make sure they save you a seat on the delightful patio. If you enjoy uncommonly prepared dishes that riff on what you are familiar with order the calamari(it’s prepared with some magic balsamic and honey mixture that is just fantastic) and if you enjoy a comfortable and rush-free dinner with friends where you can speak at conversational tones instead of shouting, make plans to dine here. Our party had several different dishes — including a special pasta of the day, a large salad and the whitefish and they were all absolutely delicious. The tab was reasonable and the service was spot-on. After making a special effort not to eat here for years I’m a convert — now I’ll be making a special effort to return.

Went there after an afternoon on Zuma beach. Not quite familiar with the area, so I Unilocaled and found this place which has decent reviews, but it’s really not a 4-star to me. The hostess looked like she didn’t want to be there, but the waiters were friendly and nice. The complimentary bread basket was good, especially the focaccia. The dipping was delicious too… But why was my salmon so mushy? Some might argue that I should’ve ordered a pizza or pasta, something more Italian, but in my opinion, don’t put it on the menu if you can’t do it right.

I visited this lovely restaurant with a large group of extended family. Since the only thing I can eat these days is fruit, I brought my own food and hoped they would let me eat it at the table with everyone else. Not only did they let me eat it, they washed it, cut it up, and served it to me with a smile. Bravo, guys. Thank you. The restroom is great.

I thoroughly enjoyed the food at this place. Italian is usually the last type of food that I get all jazzed up about because it’s so ordinary, but the previous stars on this restaurant were well merited. Ordered the prosciutto pizza and the lasagna bolognese with tiramisu for dessert and all were delectable. The real demand is for sitting outside especially in the summer, so you have to make reservations ahead in advance for this section. And here’s the 3PS: Place: in the Malibu Lumber Yard. The outside patio is really nice and very personal and romantic. Indoors is not nearly as desirable as the seating arrangements are kind of cheap and dated. Product: excellent. Very tasty and not too heavy as Italian food can often be People: your typical Malibu crowd which is older, typical yuppy, with a few younger types running around Service: friendly and very accommodating. We were first seated in 1 section that was really hot with no air, and asked to be moved, which they were more than happy to do. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. Will definitely come back here!

One of the best(if not THEBEST) Italian food in Malibu! The owner Tarcisio Mosconi is so kind and you can tell he is so passionate about his food. The service there is really really good. Everyone there just wants you to have a good experience dining with them! Tra Di Noi is located at the Malibu Country Mart and they have both indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is great because it is right in that park surrounded by shopping. Everything on their menu is fantastic. We typically order the pizza, buratta, artichoke salad, tuna tartare, and branzino(whole fish). Their specials of the day never disappoint either so make sure to pay attention to those!

One of the best Italian places we have been to, period. We ordered the meat and cheese board for an appetizer and I had the wide noodle pasta with shrimp, clams and scallops-it was amazing!

My experience at this place was so-so. I went for lunch with a friend who loves Italian food. I don’t really get a craving for Italian food so I was a noob on how to order and such. Therefore, I played it safe and got what everyone else seemed to get from Unilocal — spaghetti carbonara. Hmm I think because I expected«spaghetti» to be cooked home style with meatballs drenched in tomato sauce, it was a bit weird. I think the sauce is an acquired taste. As I ate more and more of it, it tasted better and better. Other than that, my noodles were a bit undercooked. Honestly, I would just get 15 In-n-out burgers with the $ 20 I spent.

Delicious Italian food in Malibu! Unsurprisingly Malibu doesn’t have TOO many options when it comes to food, but that is not to say there is a shortage of fine dining. We ordered a lobster pasta, homemade gnocchi with a rich bolognese sauce, and a prosciutto pizza. It’s hard to choose a favorite, as all three were authentic, fresh, and definitely a step above your average Pasta Pomodoro dining experience. It’s definitely not cheap, but you get what you pay for and the service is top-notch as well. Also to note: the bread basket was delicious!

Probably my favorite restaurant of all time! I’ve been coming here since I was a kid but aside from the nostalgia, this place has had consistently exceptional service and a desirable menu. At our most recent visit, I got the Ravioli Rosa: a spinach and ricotta ravioli with a pink sauce. If you are a pasta fan, I highly recommend this dish! My fiancé got the lemon-caper salmon with sautéed broccolini and roasted potatoes. This is hands down THEBESTSALMONWEHAVEEVERHAD. I was blown away! I make salmon at home weekly, I’ve made it a million different ways, but this salmon was completely unachievable for me, I don’t know how they did it. I can’t recommend this dish enough! Besides the world greatest salmon and delicious ravioli, the complimentary fresh focaccia bread basket with oil/tapenade is wonderful as well. If you’re in Malibu or shopping at Cross Creek definitely make this your lunch stop!

The Siciliana salad is ok as well as the prosciutto pizza. It’s just that both were pretty bland, nothing to really make me want to hurry back to. Totally overpriced for what you get… but here you’re paying for location I suppose. The outdoor seating was nice. The breeze and umbrellas kept us from roasting under the sun. The service was fine. Our waiter was very nice and professional.
