I was at the beach and when i got hungry i bought a burger at the café there and i was surporsed as how good it was. My freinds liked it too. I recommend it.

Horrible rude service! Stay away from this place. The person behind the counter basically just told us to bugger off, and that they like their place empty, otherwise all of the beach would come and sit in the café and look at their babies(referring to my one-year-old daughter. It is very funny actually because there is nobody buying anything in that place, and it’s a real dump!

oh my God I just died … went to Zuma Beach Café on their fries are to die for. The line was out of control but the food was worth the wait. I recommend the grilled cheese sandwich and ice cream OMG got to try it once before the summer ends… prices were very reasonable didn’t go bankrupt after buying lunch for four of my kids. The staff set up a nice picnic on the sand amazing view amazing lunch five stars.

The owner operators are very rude just today customers witnessed my sister being yelled at for not being a paying customer sitting at on of the open bench tables while I’m in line trying to order. I was in line for 10mins no customers in front of me waiting to be acknowledged. Now I understand this is more junk food fare and I love supporting small mom and pop places however this rudeness, lack of care of customers and what felt like racist service should never be tolerated. The workers would speak in another language while I’m looking to place an order felt to me inappropriate. Overall other customer heard me vent my frustrations and chimed in with their complaints. No scene was made we simply left and went elsewhere.

Every time I’m in Malibu, I make sure to stop by this little gem. The food is delicious, fresh and reasonably priced, and the folks who work there are friendly and polite. I definitely recommend it to any beach-goer.

Perfect spot if you want to go to the beach and not pack a cooler. They have a pretty wide menu from smoothies and salads to burgers! Fries are delicious and strawberry-mango smoothie was my favorite. Plus the service is great, super friendly!!!

So easy and convenient to have this place right on the beach, with plenty of child-friendly options, including ice cream and snow cones for a cool tasty treat. Staff is super friendly too, and gave great ideas on things to do around the area. CASHONLY, so be prepared

Location, location, location!!! Zuma Café is the best place to grab food by the beach! I take my children to Malibu every year and this is their favorite place to visit. There’s music, the price is reasonable, service is above expectations, the staff is friendly, food is delish! I highly recommend you visit Zuma Café next time you’re in Malibu.

Went there this weekend. They were really busy but the food was worth the wait. Their seasoned French fries were really good.

Had breakfast reservation @ 9:15. Waiter took us to our table @9−40. Absolutely overpriced. Service is below any expectations. On the top of everything beach service is awful and rude. I would never go back again

This experience made me need a nap. It’s a beach food shack so you have to keep your expectations low. First, the food: It was almost as expected. The bun on my burger was burned black so I had to peel that off. By the time all the food came the fries were cold. For $ 40 I would like warm food. Next, the service: Girl taking orders was polite and took a lot of flack for the kitchen taking forever. I stood waiting for at least 20 minutes for 3 burgers, a hot dog and 2 fries. They are definitely not a well oiled machine. Once I finally got my food I began to walk away and noticed I had 4 burgers and no hot dog so I had to walk back. This meant more time for my food to sit and get cold. Lastly, I suggest you eat before you come, bring your own food or search out another beach option. For $ 40 I really needed the experience and the food to be a lot better. My expectations were low but I obviously still needed to go lower.

Overpriced for bad food! Don’t get the french fries, you are going to break a tooth! And 5 bucks for an ice cream sandwich; I used to get the same ice cream in school for a $ 1! Only one of the girls working there spoke English and she was getting irritated at some little kid. She was rude! She was also chit-chatting away on the phone, while I was trying to order!

I would never actually buy anything from this place because the food is clearly awful and overpriced, but the guy who works/maybe owns the place is a total tool. Asked him for a fork and he continued to give me lip for coming over and asking for a free fork when I didn’t purchase anything. If you don’t want to give me the fork, all you have to say is that your policy says you have to buy something to get utensils! Don’t try to make me feel bad for not buying anything from your crappy excuse for a café. When I asked if I could have a fork he asked me «Do you plan on coming back and buying something later or what?» Just stop.

Food is terrible. The register clerk tried charging my card an extra $ 1 for no reason then disrespected me in front of my friends as if I was wrong. DONOTEATHERE. NOTWORTHTOURTIMEANDMONEY.

My girlfriend and I experienced some of the worst customer service we have EVER had at this café, from a dude named Nick. I’ve never met a bigger a-hole in my life. Here’s a synopsis of the situation. My girlfriend and I asked about prices for towels, cashier told us 20 dollars. Good olé Nick comes out and tells us actually, those ones are 15 and the ones near him are the more expensive. Great, a knowledgeable employee! We also asked him how much the grass mat thing was, and he said 14. We thanked him and went outside. My girlfriends sister, who is German and 16, decided she wanted the mat. So she went in with a 20 dollar bill. The cashier apparently told her it was 20 dollars, and she handed it over. She came out and said it was 20 bucks. I walked back in and said hey, you just told us 14 dollars and my girlfriends sister just paid 20(she doesn’t speak much English, and is very shy). At this point, I wasn’t upset, I just said I would like to return it real quick because at 20 dollars it wasn’t worth it. Nick said no, you can’t return it. If we wanted to we could wait until 8 – 9 tonight when his boss is there to MAYBE return it. Being we were leaving for home in a few hours, that wasn’t an option. While trying to wrap my head around it, I asked… so you just told us 14 dollars, then she took 20 dollars from us, and we are SOL? He said well the cashier knows the prices better. I asked Nick if he worked here. He confirmed he did. I said, so you take no responsibility for telling us the completely wrong price, and you won’t even fix the situation? He shrugged it off. At this point he is giving us attitude, showing he is annoyed with the situation. He gives us 2 bottles of water that he says is a «6 dollar value.» Meanwhile, it seems they buy their items from Walmart, and we weren’t in need of water. I asked him if this is some bartering situation, and if he really thought that was a solution. He started saying things like, what else do you want from me? And also«I don’t even remember talking to you»(keep in mind this was all in about a 5 minute window, and he acknowledged our initial conversation literally 2 minutes earlier). He said it was the cashiers decision. I asked her, and she looked like a scared 17 year old girl that shook her head and shrugged, and pointed towards him indicating it’s his choice and nothing she could do. Very upset at this guy having been so rude, and brushing us off telling us we couldn’t be helped and then acting as if they were not responsible at all, I asked for his name to possibly find a manager at the other café. He said nick. I walked out and while we discussed what to do after this guy had treated us like this, he comes out with a $ 5 bill and shoves it in my hand and says, and I quote, «here stop your whining» and walks away. Wow. Just wow. Misquoted price. Took no responsibility, tried to defer it to the cashier multiple times. Then started giving us attitude like we caused the problem, and was annoyed we even wanted to return it. Then pretended we never talked and ignored us, all to give me the money and tell us to stop whining. Nick, if you ever read this, you seriously seriously seriously need to think about your job, your life, and why you probably should never ever work in customer service. Really though, I’ve never met someone worse at it than you.
