JJ’s Truckstop and Restaurant

It was fair. Still looking for that great hole n the wall dining experience. Everything I ate (breakfast) was fair… at a fair price.
I’d eat here again, but wouldn’t go out of my way to do so.

A one star rating is generous to say the least. I ordered a cold roast beef sandwich on rye ($ 6.29) with a side of fries ($ 2.29) and a sweet tea ($ 2). The beef was pot roast style with white hard fat. Which makes me glad I didn’t order it hot. Meaning it probably would’ve just been microwaved. This was the most boring sandwich I’ve ever had. No lettuce. No mayo. No nothing. Just meat and bread. Pathetic. The fries were ok. Thank god for ketchup and Tabasco sauce. I mean seriously. Who the fuck puts ketchup on a roast beef sandwich? I’ve never heard of it either. I will say this though. I’m not sure what brand of ketchup it was, but it was the only thing on my plate that I commented on how great it tasted. So yeah. Come here for the condiments. The ketchup gets 4 stars. Other than that, the staff was friendly enough. I got the feeling they know how shitty their food is though. They all had an odd smirk on their face like, «Holy shit! I can’t believe anyone still comes here». To conclude, overpriced, shitty food in very small portions.

ABsolutely HORRIBLE.
RUBEN SANWICH… old spoiled corned beef. One bite and I sent it back. Wouldn’t feed that meat to a dog. Replaced spoiled with a hamburger. Overcooked ground meat which tasted old was on a decent bun. I can find a bun anywhere. Simply rotten hamburger. Salmon patties were undercooked and mushy inside. Totally FISHY tasting and inedible. Fried okra was soggy. Beans were barely passable and far from good. Cornbread… forget it… terrible !
Cashier asked if meal was good but offered nothing when I told her what is in this review.
Do yourself a favor and drive on bye this wanna-​be restaurant. Any fast food chain is far far better than this.

One of the worst food experiences… it was a food disaster! Everything was cold, the cornbread muffins were rock hard, beans were cold, fish sandwich and fries cold too. The cod on the sandwich was really mostly breading and nearly no fish, the bun was dollar store quality. Wanted soup but they had none, however the menu dipicted soup. It took forever to get the food and the waitress decided to mop the floor near my table with some chemicals that were pretty loud smelling. $ 30 bill for nasty food.

The food was awesome & the service was fantastic 2. Will stop again if ever dwn this way again!!:)))

Been stopping here for close to 27 years. Back when it was a good place. But Little Miss Tiffany. Changed that. A bit on the rude side. Loud, bangs the dish cart into things. She has a problem, mumbles at times. If your hard of hearing as I am. It might take as many as three tries .To hear what she is saying. She might even through a drink straw at you, as I saw tonight.
Now for the food. Its fair. Tonight I had the chicken fried steak. With eggs. Was served hot…

Great food, attentive service, and the coffee is superb! Listed as a truck stop but is also family friendly. Clean restrooms is also a plus! Full menu plus a homemade Buffett on Sundays from 11AM to 7PM. Highly recommended!

Friendly stafff, GREAT fried pies! Try the pecan, its awesome. Food is decent and the give you plenty. A little slow hence the 4 instead of 5.

Great home cooked style food. Awesome bacon Double Cheeseburger!
Buffet on Sundays, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
