I have now been here twice over the years for a colonoscopy and have had a pleasant experience both times, all things considered. Upon arrival, I was quickly greeted and checked in by the front staff and about 30 minutes before my scheduled appointment time, I was taken back to start prepping for the procedure. You are first taken to a hallway with lots of small changing rooms. In there you will find 2 gowns – one which you put one from the front and one from the back. This way you are all covered up and don’t have to mess with tying the gown shut. You can then put your personal belongings in a locker, which you lock and take the key with you. The lockers are reasonably sized to hold your clothes, shoes, and a few personal items, but I would leave as much as possible at home. Next you are taken to a bed, where they do the usual vitals and prepare you for the procedure. This area is basically a big room with lots of beds and only a curtain separating you from the patient next to you. The downside here is lack of privacy and I could hear doctor/patient conversations that were happening around me. At promptly my scheduled appointment time, I was wheeled back in the procedure room, where I took a short nap, and then you wake back up where you initially started. The nurses check on you, give you a drink, and then work on your discharge. Total time was under 90 minutes. They run an efficient operation and everyone that I interacted with was courteous and made me feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible.

There are any number of places that can perform an Endoscopy or colonoscopy. I suspect that they are technically competent. That said, I expect good bedside manner when dealing with patients and spouses. The staff were rude and unaccomodating. They were unconcerned to requests to be with my spouse during recovery. Worse yet was the attitude I found when I made the request. I was at the Malvern location and had previously had a good experience.
