overpriced, sometimes understaffed, tight seating on the right side of the dinning area. ok food, good crab cakes surprisingly.

Went on a Friday night and was seated immediately. Huge beer/wine selection including gluten free. Service was average. Food was tasty with large portions overall. The happy hour prices(Sun –Thur 4:30 — 6:30) were fantastic. Otherwise prices were fair for what you get.

Appetizer took a half hour to come out. average food, below average service, above average prices is the basic theme here. I ate there about a year ago, and this was my second trip and it was about the same. It has so much potential being so close to so many great ingredients, it is actually kind of surprising how mediocre it is. Both me and the person I was with were very bloated after the meal to the point of having trouble sleeping.

You can tell they really want to be good. I admire that spirit but they have a way to go. Our waitress was nice — maybe too nice. She seemed nervous that she better do all she can to make us love our visit or who knows — they take them out the back and beat them. Ordered a Makers Mark Old Fashioned and a glass of Chardonnay. First of all I was impressed they could do an old fashioned let alone a great version of this classic cocktail. My lady loved her white wine. So far, so good, right? Started with bread and olive oil. Of course you can get the bread in the bakery. We ordered the buffalo shrimp appetizer. It was tasty but the shrimp was tiny. I suggest they move up in size and sell fewer. The Caesar salad I had was terrible. We split a chicken/Tomatoe sauce entry(it was burned) and lobster roll(ordered lobster Mac and cheese but she must not have heard us). I’ve been to Maine and what I had at Wegmens is nowhere near a great lobster roll. As good as the supermarket is, the Pub was a disappointment

Great beer selection and amazing service IMO. Food was«good». We sat near the kitchen and saw plenty of fabulous dishes been sent around. Will definitely be back.

I always meet my mentor at the King of Prussia Pub every other week for lunch. Because the weather was bad last week with lots of rain, I decided to meet him at the Malvern Pub because it was closer for him. It was the same menu as King of Prussia and I settled for the lobster roll which I had many times before. Let me tell you it was the only thing I ate all day and went to work second shift. I finished work and went home to bed. I woke up three a. m throwing up like no one would believe. My guts were ready to come out and my stomach didn’t settle until every piece of the lobster roll was out of my body. Very concerned and tired, I called the Pub to inform them of this as a courtesy but I was told the manager wasn’t available and the sous chef is too busy to talk to me. The lady who answered the phone took my name and number but no one bothered to call back. I don’t think I will make it to this pub ever again.

The food was good but the price seems a bit on high side. $ 36 for burger, Turkey sandwich, side fries with each order(not large order but sufficient) and soda and ice tea. Tip included. Service was very good, friendly. Convenient if you are headed there to shop but I fear they make up the savings you may get in store, at the Pub.

I was not a big fan of the PUB because the food was not really that great(ate there a year or more ago) I love oysters and they had a buck shuck month(August) so we went tonight. The oysters were outstanding and the oyster stew was delicious. Our waitress, Tess was excellent and could not have been more pleasant or attentive. All in all a great meal in for a grocery store.

We tried it and that is it. Wifey & I ordered a lobster roll each with french fries. She had an Oyster Stew, I had a bowl of Beef Barley Vegetable Soup. Oyster stew it was not, true stew does not have potato’s, two oysters, my soup was Campbells at its average, Call them what they are, — Lobster salad sandwiches — nothing more! Not even close to a lobster roll, Fries were very good. Bruce, don’t order food to eat in a grocery store!!! Right Bernadette Connus Coke & Beer $ 50

Lunch — turkey burger(yum) and Mac/cheese plus arugula salad. Beer + wine to go with. Staff is so nice even when super busy. Food served hot + with an eye to presentation. A destination spot even without grocery shopping.

Very BAD service. The waiter just disappeared for periods of a time. Had to ask another waitress for refills. The food was alright, they don’t know how to cook a lobster.

I ate here with my mother today and the experience was actually quite gross. We both got salads and couldn’t even finish them because the women in the center kitchen(visible to the whole restaurant) was coughing in her elbow and hands, sneezing, and wiping snot from her nose while preparing food… The whole entire time. My mother said something to the manager and his response was«Uhhh sorry. Would you like anything else?» Never offered a refund, nothing. So we had to pay for two salads that had only a few bites taken out of them because we couldn’t eat them while being forced to watch the women who prepared the food cough and sneeze all over everything in the kitchen. Stay away.

A kind, fellow Unilocaler informed me that Wegman’s updated their tipping policy… so YES, you do «have» to tip now! Still a fan of the food and service though.

We are done with the Pub at Wegmans! My last review complained about them running out of Prime Rib by 8:00PM. Well, Prime Rib night has been moved to Saturday and last night they ran out by 7:00PM. Further, they had at least 3 opportunities to tell us this before we sat and ordered drinks. They did not update the sign, the hostess didn’t say a word. I only found out when I was ready to order and asked the server what sides came with the Prime Rib that I was told they were sold out. This was 7:10PM. This felt like bait and switch and we will not be returning to the«restaurant» any time soon. My 1÷1÷2013 review echos a similar sentiment so clearly, nobody cares enough to remedy the situation. Further, they changed the tipping so now you can also tip your mediocre server the additional 15−20%. As my dinner companion said eloquently, «fabulous idea with piss poor execution.»

When we visit we often get the daily special entrées. Inevitably pleasing and a great showcase for Wegman’s grocery products.

We decided to go to the Pub for lunch instead of the food court because there were too many options. We had the special BLT pizza, applewood bacon burger, and lemon garlic chicken sandwich. All of the food was great but we were seated right next to the kitchen in a not very full restaurant and the pizza came out 5+ minutes before the sandwiches, so only a 3 star review. The staff was friendly but left something to be desired. We will return some day though.

I’ve eaten at the pub in the area of 100 times and have very rarely received good service despite the place being almost always over staffed. Besides the poor service, the menu never changes despite having an entire supermarket full of ingredients. The no tipping policy doesn’t work here. The staff just doesn’t care enough to give good service. Management doesn’t even notice and even engages in conversation that is not suitable for customers to hear.

I would have given it one star, but the food was actually delicious so that bumped it up to 2. Went there last week with my boyfriend prior to grocery shopping. Sat at the bar for about 6 – 7 minutes before asked«has anyone helped you yet?» This is after making eye contact with one of three bartenders several times. The seemingly young blonde bartender was loudly venting and complaining about whatever was going on.(Not having dishes, not wanting anyone else to sit at the bar, having been there since 4pm, mind you it was about 8:00). Oh, there were 4 people total at the bar including my boyfriend and I. Just need to throw that in there. FINALLY got our food about 9(when they close). They dont allow you to tip there, which is a good and bad thing. They’re not working FOR a tip therefore them giving terrible service doesnt affect their pay. Well played Wegmans! Get a more experienced, nicer, less rude, mature, less weeded staff and i just MAY return for the food. P.S– I’ve been in the restaurant business for over 10 years. If these seems like a rant, its because it is.

A bar in a grocery store? A restaurant that serves food made with stuff you can buy in that grocery store? Awesome! Drinking before shopping? Dangerous but definitely fun. I love eating at the Wegman’s Pub. They always have a good selection of beers on draft as well as wine and spirits. Sports on the TV, hell I watched half the Superbowl here. The food is very good. I love the irradiated cheeseburger, no bugs, so order it raw. Goes great with sweet potato waffle fries with a rough cut honey mustard dipping sauce. Lamb chops with mint jelly are also delicious. You really can’t go wrong. Desserts are terrific as well. Don’t forget you can fill your growler at the bar. You can also buy beer from the beer section and drink it in the pub, little know fact. You won’t save money but you get a great selection from which to choose. AND, no tipping allowed?! That means you save 20% right off the bat. Bonus. What’s not to love?
