We’ve been occasional customers for some time now and we even catered in for a small party. Really liked the food and service but more recently we’ve been disappointed. Portions seem smaller, baklava was dry with hardly any filling, and the 25 $ platter I found disappointing. This used to be a place I liked to recommend. Certainly hope I can do that again soon.

Super friendly service here, and very vegan and vegetarian friendly, although the general menu is very omnivorous. I asked the chef to surprise me with something vegan, and he created a fragrant and flavorful couscous with plump raisins, eggplant, carrots and zucchini. Delightful experience! Highly recommend.

Can’t say enough great things about this place! Amazing food, always consistently good which is rare to find now. Have not had one bad dish from here! Family owned with an extremely friendly staff, couldn’t ask for any better. Definitely one of my go to spots when I’m in the area!

One of my favorite places for lunch. Jumana is so friendly and attentive. Food was fantastic, huge delicious portions for a great price, especially during lunch. I would enjoy some middle eastern music playing.

I sense a great disturbance in the mediteranean cuisine of Mamaroneck. After the demise of Turkish mez, Hash is king. Piles of food goodness and friendly service await you here. I was hoping to get the Soup chef and be screamed at «No food for you, fat man!», but I didnt get this experience. I love their grape leaves, stuffed cabbage, and lamp couscous. My wife doesnt want me to go for the belly dancers on Sat or Sun, but I want to ask the owner for male dancers, but am afraid of the strange look I will get. Eat and be merry.

First time taking food out Monday 10⁄12. The chicken was so undercooked it was still pink inside. I called to advise the kitchen and was told the owner would be in shortly and would call me. I never got a call. I understand mistakes happen but the fact that it was never addressed is troubling.

Food was unique and delicious. Would give the food 4 stars and the service/atmosphere 3 stars. We especially enjoyed the Lamb Kafta and the main course which was rice, chicken and covered in yogurt.

Had a really bad experience with the staff here. I went for a pick up order and waited quietly in the corner, stepped out to walk around the avenue, then went back in to wait. After a reasonable amount of time I asked about my order to the waiter(who took it) only to be interrupted by another staff member claiming I just walked in the door. She was very rude and aggressive in the way she responded. Not worth getting into more detail but the situation did not improve until the manager/owner intervened and started packing my food in a rush. He seemed nice and enough and just wanted to resolve the issue. Ill never go there or order from there again. Its a shame because the food was good enough. I want to give 1 star but that seems unnecessary.

This place is epic. I have only ordered delivery, but it arrives sooner than planned and hot, and magically delicious. The Ful Mdamas is incredible, garlicky and soft with excellent bread to dip in. The camel wings don’t travel too well but the flavor is complex and the meat is moist and delicious. The Lebanese appetizer platter is excellent. Moroccan cigars are insane and the taboule is fresh, redolent with parsley, garlic and lemon… better than if I made it myself. Kudos to Hash O Nash for being an awesome, healthy option for delivery. Extra credit for having really nice delivery people. Keep it up!

The food was good when it arrived. We reached at 1:30 pm on satueday. The restaurant was empty. Food took over an hour to arrive. When u asked at the one hour point I was told that it was another 5 to 10 minutes as a lot of order had come in. There were two tables in the restaurant… which did point out to the waitress. When we asked for a refill of water we got an eye roll and it took 3 requests to get water. Service was plain terrible The food is good. But if the lady waitress we got is working there… just turn around and leave.

Been dying to try this place and finally did, I just wish I tried it sooner. Food is incredible! Shwarma is prob the best option, but its all in preference cause everything they have is delicious. You must try the KATAYAF

This place has fallen a long way since my first review in 2013. The first few times we stopped in, Hash and Nash was pretty good, and we were genuinely interested to try more of their dishes based on the diverse menu and quality meals we had. Our final 2 or 3 visits however… sheer failure. We recently stopped in and got the chicken shish kebab, lamb burger, fries, rice, salads, falafel, soup, and hummus for our party to share. We were 1 of 2 tables in the place, so we expected to be served in short order. Unfortunately, except for the soup, we waited nearly 40 minutes to get our food and it wasn’t even remotely worth the wait. Almost everything we were served was horrible quality, even disgusting. I heard their in house microwave doing a lot of beeping in the back as they got everything ready. I can only assume that they were reheating everything which is really disappointing. Who the hell wants microwaved Middle Eastern food when you are expecting fresh meat off the grill? I can’t even begin to tell you how disappointed I was to bite into those rubbery chicken kebab pieces. It was terrible. Same for the lamb. Cooked to death. The non meat dishes were equally bad; the falafel was stale, the rice was oversalted, and the fries were a combination of burnt to a crisp and underdone. Just awful all around. We left at least 75% of the food on our table and the waiter didn’t even care to ask how our meal was or if there was a problem when giving us the check. Actually, that leads me to the service which was amongst the worst that I have ever had in the Westchester area. The staff as a whole seemed disinterested, lackadaisical, and aloof. Our waiter was largely MIA the entire time, and when we did see him, he put out the vibe that he didn’t want to be there or deal with us. Any time we needed something, a drink, a napkin, etc, there was nobody to be found. After getting up to find him a few times, we realized that the 3 or 4 workers who were on the job were constantly congregating in the far corner of the kitchen. For what reason, I have no idea. But I couldn’t help to think; shouldn’t you guys be going out of your way to give good service to the 2 full tables you have? The restaurant was 90% empty on a Thursday at peak dinner time. Maybe crappy service coupled with the disgusting microwaved food isn’t the way to keep people coming back. I certainly won’t be heading back here any time soon. One star and they don’t even deserve that.

I’m moving to the area soon, so I was thrilled to be introduced to this middle eastern place in my new hometown. Fantastic labne and hummus, with great homemade pita bread. I really enjoyed the shawarma — just great!

The food here is pretty solid. Everything we’ve tried here has been very tasty, from the falafel to the hummus. The soups are also very fresh and tasty. Service has always been pleasant and quick and prices very reasonable. Never tried their wines, but they look decent. We’ve been patronizing this restaurant for a few years and have always enjoyed our meals.

On the main drag of Mamaroneck very close to the train station. We(2) came a bit after the lunch hour and the place was empty, we picked a big table near a sunny window seat next to an assortment of hookahs. The restaurant would fill up a bit during our meal even at an off hour. Service: Our waiter quickly took our order and brought drinks. Gave us the lunch special even though it was holiday and the menu says it excludes holidays. Food: We got a very yummy Jallab drink which was made of dates and rose water with some ginger ale. Red Lentil soup is off the hook! It came in a deep funky orange bowl and had such a wonderful savory taste with some crispy crackers for texture and fresh herbs for a bit of brightness. Really good soup and something I probably would have never looked twice at if my Mom didn’t recommend it, the waiter confirmed it was his favorite too. The chicken shawarma tasted really fresh with great contrasting flavors and lots of tahini sauce. I could see the meat on the vertical rotisserie and the cook prepping up the food.

My family has eaten here multiple times since this restaurant opened, and the food has always been amazing. We just got take out, and I got the beef goulash on noodles, which is unlike anything I’ve ever had before. This middle eastern cuisine is an excellent addition to the existing offerings in Mamaroneck.

My friend and I scoped this restaurant out online, and as it was only a few steps from my apartment, decided to give it a try. We began with a nine dollar baba ganoush, well-balanced and rather tasty. We passed on the interesting-looking list of Lebanese wines, thinking next time for that. As a main course, for twenty-one dollars, I ordered the Maklouba, a dish of a boned half chicken and cauliflower smothered in spiced rice. After waiting more than a half hour in a nearly empty restaurant, we queried the staff as to what was taking so long. «The chef makes the maklouba from scratch.» I could only hope it would be worth the wait. It was not. The rice had too much salt. The entirely bland chicken was decidedly overdone, tough labor to cut it up into manageable pieces and tougher work to chew. The cauliflower added nothing. I asked for hot sauce in a desperate attempt to add some flavor. Their green hot sauce is pleasant enough, but avoid the red; it’s not just ultra-hot, but has a biting acrid quality. The restaurant is comfortable, the service efficient and pleasant, and I enjoyed the Middle-Eastern pop music they were playing.

We walked in to this place randomly because we were tired of the typical asian/bar food/mexican cuisine that we get in our area. This is a decently sized restaurant with great service. We ordered some hummus to start which was great and we shared the kebab platter which literally included a sampling of everything on their kebab list. The lamb chops and the chicken were my favorite items. The wine offerings here weren’t that bad considering the type of place it was. This place is on par with some of the places that I’ve been to in the city and am happy that I no longer have to travel very far to get some quality shawarma.

Finally found a decent place for gyro, shawarma and other middle eastern favorites for lunch near the office. Decent prices also for lunch, chicken shawarma sandwich for $ 6 and sandwich platters(w/fries & salad) for $ 10.95. Their menu is HUGE and I’m going to have to try the kafta and other kabobs off the real charcoal grill next time. I spot Moroccan, Greek, Lebanese, Armenian, Jordanian and even Israeli dishes. A real tour of the Meditarrenean. There’s even Hungarian beef goulash?!? The name of the place really is a Hash(though not for smoking) and the O’Nash part makes you think Irish(but they do have corned beef on the menu). It’ll take time, but I’ll have to try everything before I can pronounce everything is good, but what I’ve had so far is worth going back.
