Been here at least 8 times. Food is good for resort food. Servers have been way above average almost every time. Last visit we had 9 racers and coaches for a camp, and needed to split our bill multiple ways. On day to the server immediately told us we would be limited on how we split our bill, and if we had an issue we could talk to the manager… We were the only table the server had, and one of two in the restaurant!!! Most of the staff and kitchen deserve better than 3 stars, but if the management isn’t putting service first… Sad.

Another kick ass experience! Our server Paula is the jimmy jam of customer service. Food was once again delicious, service top notch and the drinks are dare I say«intoxicating»:) Highly recommend but make sure Paula is working, she makes the world go round:)…at least at Mammoth lol!

DONOTEATHERE. ANYWHEREBUTHERE. My husband ate chicken wings on Saturday evening and was vomiting his guts out through the night and all morning, current status: still dying. I confront the manager this morning and he told me to kick rocks. LUCKILY the hotel itself(completely separate from this INTENSELY overpriced restaurant) refunded my $ 250 in lift tickets so I could take my miserable shred God to the hospital, missing the pond skim, our entire reason for coming. BADKARMABRO. 0⁄10 would not recommend, food poisoning is not fair.

Excellent food. We have elected to eat here every meal so far on our 4day trip. Breakfast lunch and dinner menu doesn’t disappoint. Very convenient as we r staying in mammoth mountain inn. Hours are great for the spring kinda off season. Highlights from menu– pork belly pops, chicken fried steak breakfast, clam chowder. Will return on next visit.

My son and I started today with breakfast at the Mountainside Bar and Grill. We found the food delicious, the room comfortable and the staff very attentive. We also had one of the most delightful, personable and knowledgeable waitresses in Mischa. She seems to have that rare talent of making each of her clients feel they are her priority. Looking forward to our next visit, a great way to start the day.

I recently stayed at the Mammoth Mountain Inn and ate at the Mountainside Grill a few times during my stay. The food was always good, and fast, and the service always friendly. One server in particular stood out, and her name is Mischa. She was so incredibly friendly and helpful and she absolutely made our last morning on the mountain brighter. If you find yourself in the area be sure to stop in and say hello!

We unexpectedly ate here after a long day on the mountain and were very pleased. Our server was Adam and he gave us so many great recommendations on not just the menu but around town too. He gave us so many good tips that made our trip one to remember. We will definitely be back!

We had a great experience this evening. Our server Adam was more than helpful and had a wonderful attitude. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and activities around town. The food was great and most importantly our kids were happy. I definitely recommend coming here for dinner

The views of the slopes are killer. Wait staff is wonderful. I don’t know what’s with the hate of the place. We are tough critics and we are happy. Breakfast is excellent– something to please everyone. The cinnamon quinoa is fantastic. Pancakes are good. Prices aren’t too high. It’s convenient & good. We love the Mammoth Mountain Inn. Not sure how this place only has 3 stars. That’s crazy.

Breakfast before hitting the slopes offered many delicious items, but it was the amazing service that has me writing this review. I was very impressed by the friendly positive courteous prompt servers. Noteworthy :)

We got in late on a Friday night, so the hotel restaurant was the convenient option. I saw the reviews and prepared myself for a mediocre meal, but this dinner was way below my expectations. Let’s start with the positives. Our server was sweet, and he checked in with us often. The drinks were good. I enjoyed my grapefruit gimlet, and the hot apple cocktail was nice as well. The Shrimp Mac & Cheese was nothing special but hit the spot. Now for the blah. The bread basket had old ciabatta. The French Onion Soup was watery, salty, and below average in flavor. The Bacon Cinnamon Roll dessert wasn’t terrible, but it was tricky to eat with only a spoon. The roll was hard since it wasn’t fresh, and the bacon layers were tough as well. Good idea on the flavors, terrible execution. Moving onto the dreadful. The Grilled Artichoke was way undercooked. We sent it back. It was still slightly hard the second time, but passable. The artichokes themselves were poor quality with barely any edible flesh. It seemed like they boiled the artichoke first, because it was dripping wet, and the water kept falling off each leaf and down my sleeve. The Burger was basically cardboard. It had a medium rare pink, but somehow tasted way overdone. Just no. For the quality, the value of dinner was absolutely terrible. But when it’s the only option, they can charge anything they want. Our friends said the breakfast here was actually really good. I was too scarred from dinner to try, so I went for an overpriced breakfast burrito at the lobby shop. Got the job done.

Not worth coming here unless it’s happy hour. Or I guess if you’re staying at the hotel and snowed in. But even then, just hop on the shuttle right outside and go to the village for the many happy hours there with a better value. $ 14 for a pork quesadilla that was literally two tortillas with cheese and meat in between… Cocktails($ 12) were also purportedly stiff, but I ordered a Collins and it came in a small shooter glass and was not stiff at all. Stick to the wings and well drinks at happy hour. Or order a side of fries for $ 4 to snack on while you drink.

Skip the dining room and go straight to the bar! The food menu is the same, but the service is much better. Dining Room Service(1 star) — My fiancé and I waited 2 hours for our food. Our waitress messed up our order and made several excuses at different tables. The service was so bad that all the other diners were joking out loud about how slow the service was. Bar Service(4 stars) — The service was much faster with friendlier bartenders that are ready to take your order and actually check the status of your order. The food was okay but overpriced for the quality. As hotel guests at Mammoth Mountain Inn with limited dining options, we ate here more than once on days we were too lazy to leave the hotel after a long day skiing and snowboarding. Here’s what we tried: Grilled Chicken Wings(4 stars) — I loved the spiciness and included a good amount of wings. Smoked Pork Quesadilla(2 stars) — Main Lodge has better quesadillas. Mammoth Burger(3 stars) — It’s a big and filling burger, and the fries were crispy and delicious. Rosemary Braised Lamb Shank(2.5 stars) — The lamb was tender, but the prosciutto was burnt. Bone-In Ribeye(1 star) — It was thin and overcooked with no bone. Mac & Cheese(2 stars) — It tasted like a bland shrimp pasta. It’s not best dining option but convenient if you’re staying at the hotel. It’s best to go to bar and get drinks and just order the burger or apps.

Came here for Thanksgiving dinner and they are definitely not set up to handle this large of a volume of people in the restaurant. Even with reservations the wait was over an hour. The food was decent and served buffet style. The reason for the 4 stars is I came here last year and had an amazing steak and the mac and cheese is delicious. I also like the ambiance on the bar side of the restaurant.

Went for breakfast, had a large group come in before us which kept the supervisor and another younger guy and girl busy. The other, a male host that greeted us(if you call it that) was a JOKE !!! he was rude, obnoxious, and was throwing baby temper tantrums(throwing menus down, kicking the counter, talking about having to walk in his shoes, etc.). I have NEVER seen such unprofessionalism from a host/waiter !! supervisor was fantastic in helping take our order and serving us. food was decent, nothing to brag about. Will definitely eat elsewhere tomorrow !!! I would strongly recommend they get rid of this host as he is only going to cost them more business with his attitude !!

First off, I’m not really one to knit pick but my time here wasn’t the most enjoyable. The reasoning below. When I first arrived I went to the counter to wait to be seated. I stood there for probably 5 mins with two waiters coming up to the counter to press buttons on the machine without even acknowledging me and then leave. I thought maybe I had to seat myself, so I asked some others who had just eaten and and we’re leaving who said no you have to wait. Finally, a nice gentleman who wasn’t a server seated me. When I sat down I ordered one of the two local draft beers. To my surprise they brought it out in a bottle. That really wasn’t a big deal, but just adds to it. Next, I ordered the steak and fries which wasn’t awful, but could’ve been better taste-wise. The steak was way too done on the outside and half of it was well, while the other half was medium well like I ordered. Also, I had to use my butter knife to cut the meat since my server didn’t bring a steak knife. Once again, I’m not too picky so I went with it. The reason I went here was because my room was like 10 doors down from this place, but this is where the story gets worse. It’s now 2am and I have severe abdominal pain and have been crapping up the toilet in my room for a good 2 hrs(4hrs after I ate.) I’m going to say that there’s a good chance that something I ate wasn’t cooked properly.

Great bar service by Josh and Paula! Both are fun, personable and helpful! Professional they both are !! Food is tasty wish they had more selections when it came to lunch and dinner. Service for lunch and dinner is good, didn’t have to wait long for my food and if I did I didn’t mind as the view is great– front room of the slopes !!
