I only ordered one thing here… crispy fish tacos. They were the best fish tacos I ever had! :-D

I am really sad this place closed! I’m writing a review to, I don’t know, encourage more restaurants in Mammoth to try some of the things I liked about the place, I guess. First let me say I have never been INSIDE of the Auld Dubliner — but it was our favorite outdoor lunch spot. They had these great interesting tacos(which I think were listed as appetizers, and came in different, unusual flavors), and other good medium to light fare for lunch. They had nice outdoor seating — I hope a new restaurant opens up in the same spot — nice outdoor seating is a rare bonus in Mammoth! The food was good, and the service was friendly, and best of all, we could have our dog join us for lunch :) She is much happier lying at our feet anywhere than at home or in the car, so we love places where we can bring her. It’s hard making a restaurant appeal to both locals and visitors, and the party crowd and the families… in Mammoth where the seasons vary so greatly, and one bad snow year can wreck everything. Best of luck to the owners, wherever they are!

I recently took a large group of travelers to dine at the Auld Dubliner in the Village at Mammoth, the expericne was great, the service was fast and ver attentive to all guest– the food was fenomenal, and it was delivered in a very timely manner! im very happy we choose this place for the group’s dinner– i will strongly reccomend this place for future groups/tours dinners. Thank you all for the great service only reccomendation would be to somehow try to get rid of the flies!!! they were all over the window.

Nice change of pace from pizza, BBQ, and burgers that makes up most of the dining options in Mammoth. The dark wood and period wall decorations does make one feel they’re in a Irish pub. The Auld Dubliner does offer some customary burgers and sandwiches in addition to some Irish fare. We tried the beef stew and fish & chips. The beef stew has a nice rich flavor, with chunks of beef complemented by carrots and potatos. The beef wasn’t the most tender but wasn’t bad. The fish in the fish & chips was on the greasy side but the Guinness batter had nice flavor. The 4 medium size fish fillets came accompanied with a generous portion of skin on fries. This is definitely a place that should be supported. I much rather have the Dubliner to choose from than another pizzeria.

Adding this place to my Douche-bag Central list! — Douche-bag to female ratio: 100:1 — Cover: $ 5 wtf? are we in Hollywood? — DJ: there were 2 of them, both 14 yrs old. They did pretty good, only reason preventing from giving a 1 star rating. Douche-bag: Haaaa-y baby, you are so hot! –breathing heavy in my face– Dani: argh! your breath is disgusting! –walk away– Douche-bag: huh? –looking stupid– — Douchebag style in mammoth: long sleeve shirt with a tight Ed Hardy T-shirt over beanie wore backwards grabbing ones members when seeing a cute girl — Douchebag style in LA: tight Ed Hardy T-shirt baseball cap wore backwards grabbing ones members when seeing a cute girl Somethings never change, regardless of where you are.

the food here is okay, but really nothing to really get excited about. our server was okay but our buser had a fairly dry sense of humor which actually humored me. i didn’t realize that the auld dubliner is a chain… there is actually also one in irvine.

Fun little place for the atmosphere and the ‘feel’ of an 1800s-style Old World pub. It definitely felt like an Irish pub, or at least how I think one should feel(though I’ve never been to a real one myself). I really don’t know what Irish food is like since I’ve never had them before, so I can’t compare whether what was on the menu is genuine Irish food. We had a group of ten and our server was attentive and helpful. My friends tried some of the Irish beers, which they enjoyed. There wasn’t that large a selection of foods, but I wasn’t really sure what to look for in an Irish pub. We ordered corned beef sandwich, the pie thing, and some other items. I honestly didn’t know what to get as nothing appeared appealing to me so I copped out and ordered their pub burger, which I have to admit was tasty, juicy, and delicious. My friend ordered the beef stew, which was very good. The spices on their other items were delicious and my friends loved that really spicy sauce(I think it’s called 911 or something). I’m not sure if it was a manager or assistant manager or something, but a guy came around and checked to make sure our group was doing well. He was friendly and he’d give us cheaper Irish car bombs if we ordered some, and sure enough we ordered two rounds. They have this pretty cool contraption that allows everyone’s shots to drop into the stout at the same time and everyone grabs and chugs the drink. It was quite amusing and a fun little thing to do. Overall a cool little restaurant. Food was tasty, beer was great, and we had a good time.

Restaurant is located at the VILLAGE where everything is located. A little hard to find parking, because there is only a limited amount of parking space in the lot across the street, so CARPOOL! This restaurant’s warm inviting interior is definitely welcoming after a long day of snowboarding in the freezing cold temperature. Staff’s service was consistent and friendly, and highly recommended several drinks and food items from the menu for us 1st timers. I ordered the following: Irish Coffee(spiked with Whiskey) for $ 7.99 — This is definitely welcoming during the cold winter days. Boxty Shepard’s pie for $ 15.00. The boxty Shepard’s Pie is made with lamb and served in a crêpe. My friend said the boxty Shepard’s Pie was a little bit too gamey for her, but I thought it was just fine. Food itself was okay, but I was not too crazy about its presentation. Saw another friend ordered the regular Shepard’s Pie, wherein it is covered with mashed potato, and boy… did his regular Shepard’s Pie looked better than mine! Would definitely come visit this restaurant again due to its welcoming atmosphere and affordable prices the next time I come to Mammoth!

I’ve tried a few more items on their menu now. The beef stew is pretty good and soothing for a cold day. The meat is bit dry but the flavors were nice. Eat it will a little of the mustard they have at the table and it’s really good. The mustard has a bit of a kick to keep that in mind. The buffalo potatoes are good. The tots, cheese, bacon are good. My friends are fans of their bangers and mash. Their fries are good b/c they sprinkle it with a sort of curry seasoning. The service has been consistently friend and good. The place never seems to be too crowded… but then the last few times I’ve been here, it’s been during blizzarding conditions so there weren’t many people out in general.

The pub interior was warm, fragrant and inviting. Although without an accurate point of reference, I imagine it must look like a genuine, Irish pub in Dublin! Right here in California! (wishful thinking.) The shepherd’s pie really hit the spot. I could smell the garlic off the sauteed veggies from the kitchen, but this was a plus in my book. Heavy, greasy, rich in starches, fat and cholesterol. If I live somewhere with freezing weather, does it justify eating like this every day? One can only hope. Ps. This one is much better than the Riverside location in terms of ambiance, food and décor.

This charming little Irish pub/restaurant can be found in the Village at Mammoth complex. I had a long day of snowboarding all Sat and decided to rest my weary bones on Sunday and take a look around the Village area. I have a weakness for Irish/brit pub restaurants and all the standard fare, like bangers & mash, fish & chips, guiness pie and a proper pint to wash it down. Going for lunch time the bar was sparsely populated and the dining area was nearly empty(I came during the early side of the lunch hour) and was told I could sit anywhere, parked myself at a table by the window. Despite there only being one table with a party of 6 expecting their food, I seemed to wait forever just to get a waitress to stop by and take my order, despite a couple walking by repeatedly without looking my direction. bad move. Once I did get someone’s attention, she acted genuinely surprised nobody had attended to me yet, I let it go and ordered a beef boxty, which is sort of a meat pie wrapped in a crêpe, while alright, the beef wasn’t quite as tender as I hoped and I would have rather had a guiness pie instead. At least the beer I ordered on the side hit the spot. I suppose I’d check it out again if I had to, but given the rather sluggish service when they were empty, I hate to see what they’re like when the place is actually busy.

Came here on a Saturday night during ski season just to chill and have a few drinks. We were hoping to hear some of the live music everyone keeps mentioning but instead it was a DJ playing club music with colored lights flashing. The blonde bartender was horrible so we had to keep going around the bar to get drinks — the guy on the other side was cool. Nice that there wasn’t cover(maybe because no live music?) and that the guys had a longer wait for the bathroom than the girls.

Food — 3 stars Service — 4 stars We had a HUGE group of 47 and Auld Dubliner was fantastic about setting up a separate area for us and served our food and drinks pretty quickly for such a large group. Food wasn’t bad — I’ve had the Guinness Beef Stew boxty at the location in Tustin, CA(not sure if they’re related but they look like they are). I tried the Guinness Beef Stew here and it wasn’t quite as good as Tustin. However still really great and totally filling after a day on the slopes!

This place was pretty cool and drinks were very reasonable, compared to LA standards at only $ 5 a well. There’s also foosball and pool tables in the back, not sure how much it cost but it was fun. I also really liked that they have live music and there was no cover or line. It kinda sucked that the kitchen was closed at 10 but didn’t matter that much since the Pita Pit, right next door, was open late.

Good pub food in a very authentic atmosphere. The place was a little cold temperature wise, but the waitress was really polite and attentive. The beef stew was amazing and the kids had great burgers. The beer selection was great, if you like black and tan’s they can make them. You will need to walk here since they dont have much on street parking.

This place has amazing beef stew. It was so good that I had it for two dinners out of my weekend long trip to Mammoth. The price was only $ 14.95 and the second night I asked for extra beef which the waitress gladly put in for us. I also dipped some fries in the sauce which was also amazing. There isn’t really much to do in mammoth other than snowboarding/skiing/snowmobiling so this bar is a great place to hang. The pool table at the back is free and they had $ 2 PBRs on a Sunday afternoon. That and the Laker game was on was just sweet icing on the cake. Definitely a spot I would come and grab a few drinks at. First night we ordered 6 drinks and the tab was only $ 40. That is the price of 2 drinks in LA.

The place was alright. I came just for drinks and to cruise with friends after a day of boarding. Thankfully, they didn’t charge cover like Whiskey Creek or Lakanuki Tiki Bar did. Clubbing in Mammoth? This was NOT Hollywood. Seriously. The live band was cool, too. I wished they had more seating, though. It was packed! Since it was cold outside, I decided to get an Irish Coffee($ 7.99) to warm me up. It was pretty good, spiked with whiskey. Yummmm. Let the good times roll.

Irish pub? More like Major flub. I went to this restaurant based on Unilocal reviews, as they generally don’t steer me wrong… but I guess there’s a first time for everything. I went with a group of five after a long day of snowboarding, hoping for some authentic Irish grub. As we were ordering drinks, the server kept saying…“oh, we’re out of that… yep, out of that too… oh, sorry, we’re all out of this…” Slightly obnoxious, but whatever, I like lots of different beers, I’ll live. After perusing the menu, three of us ordered the Shepard’s Pie, on a recommendation from our server. Now… maybe real potatoes don’t grow in Mammoth due to the snow… or maybe they ran out due to the high volume of snowboarder traffic… but whatever the reason, I think I’d rather have heard«sorry, we’re out of that too,» than eat the dry, flavorless, nearly-inedible instant potatoes that topped off my shepard’s pie. We also ordered an appetizer sampler that was less than memorable. The only thing this place got right was the Irish car bombs… and let’s be honest, it’s pretty hard to screw that up. My recommendation? If you’re going to Mammoth, skip the Irish fare and order some pizza.

Ate here after giving Hennessey’s the finger at our quoted 45 minute wait. The Auld Dubliner was uncrowded at prime apres ski dinner hour on a Saturday and right before the headlining act of a concert that was playing at the center of the village. Our waitress was spot on with service having brought the best corned beef & cabbage that my friend had ever had in her life. I myself had a fish sandwich sans bread and unfortunately sans flavor. But my fries were fan-effin-tastic. Another person in our party had the veggie burger. «Is it the crappy veggie pattie or the good one?», one of us asked. «It’s the crappy one», the vegetarian replied. So we weren’t 100% with our food, but we were well-cared for otherwise, drinks and food were served fast, glasses were replenisehd without hesitation, and we left relatively satisfied for the most part. I’d come here again to try more of the menu… the boxties looked interesting.
