Great place to go if you want seafood. The ambiance is nice, and it’s a little off the path so likely not filled with tourists. There’s not many low-cost items for dinner, but if you are going out for a treat, then this is a good place to check out.

This was such a happy surprise given its unassuming looks from the outside. Seated promptly on Saturday night and enjoyed every bit of our meals from the clams with garlic appetizer to our seafood entrees. We had stuffed shrimp, fried scallops and sea bass. All were moist, flavorful and fed us the next day, as well. It’s very cozy, clean and cheery. The servers seemed stretched too thin but did their best for us. Definitely planning to return.

Thx Unilocal again for steering us well! We drove up to the very unassuming simple store front and were greeted inside by beautiful modern white and blue décor with a casual vibe and incredibly sweet staff. The food was amazing! I asked for the seafood broiler combo which the waiter mentioned was a popular item, and my husband ordered the blackened grouper. This dinner reminded of us a fresh seafood dinner we had in San Fran, CA a few months ago. Seafood very fresh! Highly recommend this dining spot. We were the only people dining there on a Saturday but we were also there around 3pm which I imagine is not bz for most places. P. s. We were visiting from Manhattan and consider ourselves foodies who like to frequent James Beard/Michelin rated places.

Exit 63 Seafood has great fresh seafood at retail plus offers a fine dining room. I have only ever gone there for takeout but, this may be considered unpatriotic on my part, but their dinners rival Stefano’s in Beach Haven. The food is great. The prices are a little less than on LBI. Exit 63 Seafood should consider selling their entrees for takeout without making the customer buy the soup, bread and salad. The slight reduction i price would be attractive to customers. They should also consider doing what Stefano’s does well … Offer Takeout Buckets. That’s a value of 5 or 6 entrees in a single Bucket at the price of 2 sit-down dinners. Since Exit 63 Seafood is open year round, they would pick up a very large following especially in the winter. Their food is wonderful. Offer the food for takeout in a way that makes it far more economical for customers.

We walked into Mud City to have dinner. It is the weekend before Thanksgiving, and we haven’t been in a couple of years. 1 ½ wait at 6 pm. I looked at my husband and the two kids with us and got back in the car to try this place. I read the reviews awhile ago and just haven’t had a chance to try. So we pull in on Saturday evening. The dining room is shut off from the fish shop, although there are tables of 2 that I’m sure you can eat at or have raw bar. It is BYOB. The service was wonderful. The food was so hot when we got it, we had to wait to eat it. When was the last time that happened in a restaurant? We ordered fried calamari. Best cooked calamari I’ve had in years! No joke. I eat calamari everywhere and every style because my son loves it. The breading on the flounder and chips was light and the fish juicy. The fried seafood plate was more than my husband could finish. The crab cakes came as 2 huge NO filler crab cakes and crinkle cut fries. I ordered shrimp stuffed with crab imperial over linguini. Perfect! So much crab. The sauce for the pasta was so tasty, and light. We didn’t have dessert because we were too full. We waved to Mud City as we drove home more than satiated, about the same time we MAY have gotten a table. Thank you Exit 63, I’ll never wait for Mud City again.

Great seafood spot. Can’t believe how many times I’ve passed right by the place and never thought to try. I will definitely going back for more.

The food was phenomenal, our server was the sweetest. Clam strips should replace calamari forevermore and broiled lobster tails were delicious. Feel the need to write this… overheard what sounded like the staff mocking me for repeating myself? Definitely hurt my feelings and made me feel unwelcome after what was otherwise a lovely dining experience. :( Signed, «Fancy shmancy»

Great food, much shorter wait than Mud City. I saw one review that said too much butter. How can you have too much butter?, but later that night I found out. Good service, even though our table was 20 minutes later than res., but worth the wait. seafood Imperial was spectacular!!! Every one loved their food!

Tried to get in at Mud City, but since the wait was 2 hours, we decided to check out Exit 63 based on the great reviews. RUN, do not walk — their garlic mussels are out of this world good and we were tempted to order more rolls just to sop up the goodness. Brought our own bottle of white that paired excellently with their Vera Cruz seafood special. Fresh, delicious, and my boyfriend actually frowned because he was sad he finished his plate! Hostess/server was so kind and polite. HIGHLY recommend!

Went with my parents tonight and it was amazing! From the outside it doesn’t look like a nice place but the second you walk in you realize the place is a hidden treasure. We got the mediterranean calamari which was awesome and then I got the seafood combo. That was pretty good and my parents said their dinners were just as great. The even better part was it was only $ 97.00 for three seafood entrees! We were very surprised when we got our check. Such a great experience and we will most certainly be back!

Great seafood. Bring your own bottle of wine to enjoy. Service was outstanding and food was delicious. I had the shrimp fra Diavlo. It was tasty and I ended up being some home. For desert we had strawberry mousse in chocolate. Great food!

Went on a Saturday evening. Had little bit of a wait(20 mins) but still better than you’ll get at most places in area on a Sat night in July. But, it was evident almost immediately that they miss the mark on some basic Customer Service 101 items. The hostess was an attractive young, friendly enough sort. As we waited, we overheard her field questions from subsequent potential patrons… When asked if they take reservations she replied«Well yes we do, but only for parties of 6 or more on Saturday. But on other days, when we are less busy –we take them for parties of ANY size»…HUH? What? Then she asked us no less than 5 times if we wanted to see a menu while we wait– to which we politely declined each time … She asked another party same question to which they said yes please. She proceeds to hand them a take out menu at which she points out: «That is a different menu than the one you will get once seated inside. Um I mean it’s sorta the same but the other one has specials and stuff and the prices are different!”– again. um. Yeah okay. So now we were seated, and we waited. And waited. A staff members came by, made eye contact and kept moving along. several times. Finally we were greeted by a staff member not assigned to out table but obviously noticed we weren’t greeted and did the proper thing. Good for him!.. At least somebody is on it. Then things rolled along pretty well. Our server was super friendly and did a solid job. As we are sitting there several tables became open. At which point the same young lady who had earlier ignored us says to hostess: «Are there any people waiting?(Answer was YES). «Ok. Don’t fill these tables yet– I’ll let you know when». SMH again. As far as the food… Mixed bag I’d say. We got couple apps. They were subpar. Namely the Garlic Honey Shrimp which was overwhelmed by oil and grease it was not edible. We had gotten steak/shrimp dish which was okay. Angel Hair Vodka w/shrimp which was good and Mussels Marinara was good as well. Overall– Service red flags aside – decent I’d say. Not a bad option if u seek a nice Seafood dinner.

I can’t say enough great things about this place. My fiancé and I had the tuna appetizer which was delicious. Large prices of Tuna and made with just enough pink in the middle. I loved these. We also had the Maryland crab soup and seafood chowder. I loved the Maryland crab soup. We were full before the main course even arrived. The entrees were big and so delicious. Large pieces of crab in the red snapper with crab entrée. Not only is the food great but the staff is so nice. Our waitress Thea was so genuine and lovely. And it’s byob! I loved this place. Can’t wait to come back!

We were told to try the Baked Crab Cake and we were not disappointed. The crab cakes were sooo good. They were all crab, if there was any filler I couldn’t find it. Served with a side of asparagus which was nicely cooked. But before we had the crab cake we tried the clam chowder. It was very good but could have used more pepper which we added from the table. The owner and wait staff(we found out later he was also the chef) were very friendly. The place itself is cozy and decorated very nicely which was a surprise when we walked into a seafood market and restaurant combination. The two were separated by a wall so it wasn’t like you could see the market. We later went on the market side and it was also well decorated and very clean. The rating was as close to 5 stars as it could get, but because it’s only my first time there I’m going to hold off for my next visit and try another dish.

Really good alternative to mud city. The ambience is nicer, we had great service. It’s very comfortable and has an upscale atmosphere. The mussels in spicy marinara were delish. Id pass on the onion rings(frozen generic). The only reason I’d go to Mud City is for the garlic crabs. Otherwise I like it better here!

First time dining food very good. Nice clean restaurant. Our waitress Kathy very nice. Onion rings excellent and I’m not supposed to eat them. Ate them all. Will be back! My husband really liked his mussels. Good spicy sauce. When I made the reservation I saw the owner and he was very pleasant. That means a lot to me. Try it. If you like seafood I think you will be happy.
