Steaks were good, fairly priced, and all the staff were helpful and friendly. Read about Tommy’s on a local board and decided to try it this weekend. The rib eye yesterday was excellent — well marbleized. Today went back and got strip steaks that look fantastic as well as a skirt steak for tomorrow. Inquired about some unusual cuts of meat I wanted and the butcher took my cell and told me he would call with availability and price.

Ok. We were looking for a decent meat market somewhat close to home. Well THISISNOTTHEPLACE!!! My hubby and I were looking at the meat case and were very disappointed on the selection, which was next to nothing. It was like oh lets throw whatever we have in the back in the case and hope for the best. We were looking for something to put on the bbq bc it was a gorgeous day to have a steak and just relax. Well, One, I felt pressured into buying the beyond mediocre steaks, and the prices for what they were, were not worth it. we selected 2 steaks and paid, not feeling excited about the meat. we get home hungry and get everything ready. I put a light rub on steaks and away they went on bbq. We all sit down they looked perfect, nice sear on outside medium rare the way we like them and it was inedible. We ended up throwing them out and eating cereal totally disappointed. What a disaster. NEVERAGAIN! next time we will take the time and go to red bank.
