We went on a Friday night and it was very loud but we were seated right away. My hunby had the shrimp po boy and raved about it. I had the sizzling steak but it was very bland. Kinda disappointed!

Been going here for years and always on point, never had a problem until last night. Server Lauren was the rudest waitress I have ever come across, from the moment we sat down, enough for even my 14 year old daughter to comment. I ordered a piece of salmon and a house salad, side of broccoli and she charged me $ 25! When I called her over to question the price I was told there was no manager on duty and the chef won’t consider changing the price, as I was mid sentence she shook her head and walked away… enough said…

Jackie! This review is all about the service, more people should take the time to write good service reviews. We go to Four Winds all the time, one of the best steaks in the area and the staff is always good. Last night we went for dinner, the hostess was nice, everyone was smiling and friendly, but Jackie went the extra mile and I was beyond impressed. Then we heard her with her other tables and they were beyond impressed. Then the tables started talking about her because she was hands-down the most pleasant, attentive, professional and fun server we’re had in years! The older couple next to us were raving, so I figured I’d give her the props she deserves on Unilocal.I don’t know Jackie, never met her before, was just blown away! Great job Four Winds, you have never let us down. Always a great meal and great service!

Great Prime Rib !!! and other food too. Very good service, good prices, nice ambiance, and very good food. Unfortunately, there are people that come in dressed like dirt bags.

Their food is really good but they are a bit pricey. The service is decent, they take reservations even for a table of two which I recommend doing because their is usually a wait later in the evening. The bar is a good size and they sometimes have entertainment.

Still one of my favorites. The staff is attentive, food is always good and the pineapple sangria is amazing.

A great standby place. Don’t sit at the bar… bartenders are probably some of the most unfriendliest I’ve ever encountered(before 6pm)…they get much better after 6. Food at the bar is great. Food in the dining room is great. In the dining room, they have very attentive service. Last time there, the server was quite attentive to my elderly mother… much appreciated. Four Winds has the food thing nailed… it’s terrific. It’s the bar staff that needs help. I realize that in the late afternoon, they have to cater to the tradesmen who get off work early and are regulars. No problem there. But a professional guy coming in at 530pm by himself and with others shouldn’t be made to feel like he’s interrupting something. Every time(5+) I’ve come by after work, I’ve felt odd. But at 6pm, the older bar staff shows up and it’s all good. I’ll come back for the food.

Was very unimpressed with everything we ate. I didn’t understand why there was a large amount of people coming in for dinner. I ordered the Veal Marsala over rice. It tasted like rice a roni which was microwaved a little long and had tough rice grains. The veal itself were little cuts with nothing really impressive. The Marsala sauce was the only thing making it desirable to eat. I don’t see a second visit here.

I visited the Four Winds today because of an Asbury Park Press article about the best burgers on the shore. Four winds was not on top of the list but they got on my radar. I found the parking across the street wide open and ample. The building in new looking and appealing yet it sees dated and small inside. A nice greeting and a friendly waitress make you feel the place is on the ball. We ordered a couple of burgers and they came out in a decent time frame. Definitely cooked to order and just as we asked. I had the peppercorn burger with bacon and Swiss and I had them add blue cheese. My companion had the California burger. My gripe was finding a hair on my pickle. I quietly gave it to the waitress but it was not dealt with properly. No visit to the table from the manager. No offer of any kind. GROSS! I was on a date and didn’t want to make a big deal I even continued to eat but I really didn’t want to. I can say the burger was good so chances are you won’t find a hair go try the place.

When entering the Four Winds you are greeted with an enthusiastic staff in a cozy atmosphere. The restaurant is split with an open table side area, perfect for large groups and the bar with smaller tables on the other. The menu caters to different types of food and they offer a great selection of seafood meals compared to other places. The bar is always stocked and they feature a lot of good craft beers as well as domestics. I highly recommend the sizzling steak to anyone who has yet to try this entrée!

Came here on a Saturday night and the place was packed the brim. We ended up finding seats at the bar rather than waiting 45 minutes. Crock of French onion soup was one of the best I’ve ever had and my cowboy burger was delicious as well. I was instructed to «stick with the basic stuff» here, but I hear the prime rib is excellent. Cute, cozy local spot filled with cool fishing memorabilia and décor. Live music was a nice touch. Our bartender was excellent and efficient. I found the ceilings to be incredibly low, and I am 5“2! Overall good experience and good choice for pub fare.

For my money, the best burger on the Jersey shore. Good steaks and chops as well. Onion rings are fried to perfection! Friendly staff, rustic design, and live music on the weekends make this a great local hang out.

Went with my son to sit at the bar a grab a bite and a couple of beers. No HD signal on big screen tvs, so the picture quality was disappointing while watching the second half of the Broncos-Seahawks game. Steamers were excellent. Decent selection of draft beers. My shrimp sandwich was pretty good, but the menu said it is served with potato chips and it wasn’t. My son enjoyed his burger.

This used to be my favorite steak restaurant, but the last few times have been terrible. The most recent time being the last straw. We arrived on a Sunday night(Memorial Day weekend) at 630. I was shocked there was no wait, but would soon realize why. The restaurant was hot when we got there so k asked for them to turn on the air. They did not but it was warm, not unbearable. As more tables arrived it soon became uncomfortable and I asked yet again for the air. Finally, when the thermostat reached 80 another table asked and it was turned on. But I could live with just that and there would be no need to degrade my initial 4 star review. But the waitress(Judy) was the worst I have ever encountered. She had no personality and failed to check up on the table several times. Later I realized why. There was 7 of us so that meant she was adding on a 20% service charge and was getting a nice chunk of change no matter what! Also, the place raised it’s prices to rival that of an Atlantic city casino steakhouse. They must really be hurting because they couldn’t even fully change the menus to reflect the new prices instead there were stickers obviously placed over the old prices. Sorry, when I’m paying over $ 30 for a steak that’s TACKY! Because of the absurd price changes, Judy, and the unwanted tropical climate I will NEVER return. I’d rather drive a little enjoy myself and splurge in AC!

I had a great lunch with my friends here the other day. It was a Saturday afternoon and we had no problem getting a table for 5 right away. The menu has a lot of seafood selections, grill items and salads. Try the Turkey Burger with Cajun Seasoning! It was so fresh and flavorful. I ordered a side of French fries with it but my friend had sweet potatoes fries that made me regret my choice. The sweet potatoes fries were much tastier! The menu is diverse however; there are not that many vegetarian options. My vegetarian friend ordered the veggie burger and she was pleased with it. There are also a lot of daily specials offered. One friend at my table ordered the Truffle Scallops special served with risotto. I didn’t taste it but she loved it and cleaned the plate. The location of the bathroom is in the hallway leading to the kitchen and our server set up a bus station right outside of the women’s room. This made for an awkward interaction when I was making my way to the bathroom. He said excuse me and was polite but there is no reason that the servers should be using this area and being in the way of diners. It is a large restaurant and I’m sure there is space somewhere else. Also, the servers who were either between shifts or taking a break were sitting at the table directly behind us when there were several empty tables. They should have seated us somewhere else if they were planning on taking a break there. I just find it unprofessional to be near consumers when employees are on a break. However, everyone was very nice and friendly and I had a tasty lunch. If I’m in the area again I’ll give it another try!

What can I say I tried it recently on the advice of a friend and I loved it. The quintessential well-executed«Jersey Shore» pub/restaurant. Great Steaks, fish and drinks. Festive atmosphere, welcoming wait staff. The best part is that it is patronized by well-meaning, unpretentious, good old folks. the antithesis to places like Nicholas. Try the Prime rib its the best in the city, ugh… Shore.“ P. S. Great Value!!!

I love Four Winds. My family and I have been coming here for many many years. It’s very close to my heart. The bar scene is definitely«Jersey Shore locals»; fun with great mellow entertainment such as your friendly one man bands or piano player. It’s extremely cozy and comfy. The food is always tasty and delicious. Our favorite menu items: house wines, great beers, burgers, steak, ribs, fries and the appetizers are all fabulous. Yummy soup too. We try to come at least once a year for dinner.
