A Plus Cell Phone Repair

Unfortunately, due to my children’s mistakes and carelessness, I’ve had to venture into the store more than once. However it’s not all bad because they are so friendly, efficient and a pleasure to do business with. Repairs completed in one hour, or less! I highly recommend them for all your cell phone repairs!

I broke the LCD and glass on my Samsung Galaxy S3. I shopped around for best prices and found A plus with the least expensive option (and excellent reviews here). The place is ~30 minutes drive from my home but it seemed like a good option. If you are going for the first time, you might find the store difficult to locate. If you use Google Maps, you might end up on the opposite side of the building. This shop faces Presidential Ln (not Diplomatic Dr). I don’t remember the name of the person who seems to own the business (let’s call him John). John quoted me 110 $ for fixing the glass/​LCD in 2 hours, and he said I could drop it the same day (Saturday). So, I drove to his shop, dropped the phone, and went around to a nearby restaurant to have lunch and run some errands. I returned back after 2 hours and phone was ready. It looked brand new. He highlighted that I have 90 days warranty if there was any problem with the screen. After about a month, I started noticing problem with colors and slight flickering on the screen. I got worried since I wasn’t sure if whatever was happening is due to the screen or some other problem with the phone itself. I took a chance and went back to A-​plus. When John saw the phone, he immediately realized and told me that the LCD screen that he had installed earlier looked defective and he would install a new one the same day without any charge. I was relieved and happy. The only caveat was that he said it would take 3 hours as he has few other devices to fix. But he called me in ~1.5 hours and told me the phone was ready to be picked. I went back and the phone, again looks brand new. He assured me that if there is any problem such as this in next 90 days, I should not hesitate to come back. He also acknowledged that seeing the phone, he understands that I take care of my phone, and the problem could not have occurred because I dropped it.
All in all, very good experience, and I would not hesitate to go there if I ever have any problems that A-​plus deals in.

Dropped my iPhone 6 in water. Left in rice overnight, but didn’t have sound the next morning. Had checked reviews for phone repairs and went into A Plus this morning. He quoted me a price of $ 100 if he could repair the phone. No cost if he could not. Called me later this afternoon and told me the phone was repaired at a cost of $ 53. He explained that the damage was limited to the speaker. Can’t get much better.

Took my sons phone to them today to fix the busted screen. Cost 95 and was ready in an hour. The screen that was used was defective and they replaced it for free the next day they were open. They even stayed open late as we arrived 6 minutes until they closed. They easily could have fixed it the next day. But they fixed it immediately and my son is very happy with his new screen.

Had a good experience here. They fixed my cracked screen for $ 90 and it only took them one hour.

Went to have fixed an iPhone 5c with a broken screen and non-​functional home button. They fixed the screen within an hour and fixed the Home button for free.

This place is legit. Cracked my iPhone 5s screen. $ 80 and I was out the door in a little over an hour. They are repairing my iPad mini phone jack as we speak.

I accidentally smashed my son’s iPad screen this morning. I needed to replace it FAST as I felt so horrible for doing that to him, but not for an arm and a leg, either. Based on a couple of neighbors’ recommendations, took it straight to A+ Cell Phone Repair. They had it fixed and ready to pick up within three hours! Plus, they noticed when I turned it in that the WiFi wasn’t working very well (son admitted that it hadn’t been working well for awhile), so they offered to fix it while at it (for an additional fee of our, but nothing prohibitive.) So now he has a new screen and a zipping WiFi. To compare cost-​wise, I have replaced the screens myself on our iPhones (parts alone, no labor) for around $ 70. Replacing this iPad 2 screen at A+ only cost $ 80. I had them fix my iPad 4 Retina screen, too, while at at it, which was $ 100. Very easy to drop off and pick up. Highly highly recommend and I would definitely go back there in a flash. What a relief!

they will not sell the battery separately.
Good price, will take 20 – 25 minutes.
Not sure of battery or workmanship warranty.

I had an iPhone 5s that had been submerged in a pool, was extremely worried about the cost to replace it. They do great work and have a good policy, can’t bring it back from water damage, you do not have to pay. $ 60 later and my phone has been revived. Thank you!

Got my iPhone screen repaired. The cheap glass was so low quality that it cracked within 3 days without it being dropped or anything put pressure from my fingers. Lesson learned: spend a few extra dollars to get something repaired with quality

Overall pretty impressed. 4.5. I gave them a totally beat iPhone 4 that barely worked, back and face and buttons were jacked, a couple hours later she was good as new.
Now the reason I needed that fixed, is because I had dropped my iPhone 6 Plus into a piping hot bowl of phở. I would have had them fix that too, but WiGo Clinic quoted the same water recovery service that A Plus offered for $ 29 + $ 20 if they can fix it. So you’re paying $ 29 whether they fix it or not. A Plus offers $ 100 if they can fix it, $ 0 if they cannot. I thought maybe I could get it done for half the price at WiGo, but due to WiGo hours and location, it became much more convenient to do it at A Plus. They once again got it fixed and I picked it up the next day.
The only areas for improvement are this:
— Both times they said they would call me when my phone was ready. Both times I ended up calling to check and they said it was ready.
— They tried to cut my iPhone 4 sim card to get it to work in my 6 Plus. It did not, and so I had to go back to an AT&T store to get one for the 6 Plus. AT&T said that a 4 card will definitely not work in a 6 plus.
— Finally the price point on the water damage seems a little high if WiGo can do it for $ 50.
All three of the above I don’t feel warrant lowering a star though because:
#1 I have bad signal in my office so maybe they tried to call me and it didn’t go through
#2 Maybe it was just a fluke and the AT&T employee was wrong
#3WiGo doesn’t have as good reviews, so maybe WiGo just collects a lot of 29.00 fees for their water damage service.
Overall I’m happy. If the phone starts acting wonky I’ll update my review.

Took a broken Samsung S4 Global \phone here to repair a badly damaged screen. It was a pricey fix (130) but it got my work phone up to speed is just about an hour. The glass, digitizer, and lcd had all suffered damage. The repair was excellent, they showed me the part in advance, and were right on time with a very speedy fix

Came here based on lots of recommendations for a repair on a shattered screen of an iPad mini. Cost only $ 110 and was ready in 2 hours. Very quick and friendly service. Hopefully I don’t have to but I would certainly come here again if I needed to.

This place is the realest!!! iPhone 5c in and out in an hour looks like brand new!!! Highly recommended if your screen is cracked!!!

I took my broken iphone 5 for screen repair and they did fantastic job which only took 20 min to repair. They have excellent service and will definitely return if i ever break my phone again which i hope i won’t.

A lot of these reviews seem really suspect, but I suppose almost everyone had a better experience then me the four times I went to this store for the same issue.
The first time I gave A Plus Cell Phone Repair my business, I was experiencing trouble with my iPhone 5. It wasn’t turning on after dying out the previous day. After using numerous chargers, I knew it was something internally wrong with the phone. I dropped by phone off and was able to pick it up the same day, GREAT! Cost me $ 20 to change the battery.
A couple days later my phone ran out of battery and when I tried charging it and had the same issue… ok something is up I said. I take the phone back and had to explain the situation about 4 – 5 times to the monotone girl before she finally understood the issue. She finally pulled up my information and stated she will take a look at my phone and get it back to me. The next day: I go back to pick up my phone and she tells me they had to change the charging port and replace the battery again (never explained why they changed the battery again, even though I asked multiple times, she could not give me a reason) Whatever I said, my phone is finally working and now I have to pay $ 50 for the new charging port.
Another 2 weeks go by and my iPhone 5 screen is unresponsive. Never dropped my phone, no water damage, just completely stopped working. I go back a third time and they tell me it has nothing to do with the charging port they installed, I just need a new screen. $ 100 they say. Fine, I’ll pay it. Total amount spent at this point = $ 170
Fast forward to yesterday and my phone is doing the same thing, it will NOT turn back on after the battery dies. I called A Plus Cell Phone Repair for an explanation regarding there warranty and explained the situation. The small monotone child who works there is giggling the entire time I am explaining my frustration over the phone and tell them I am going to stop by later in the day.
MY FOURTH VISIT: I walk in and Miss monotone immediately recognizes me and calls the guy who works in the back like a body guard. He tells me that they will check the phone for free but because it has been more than 30 days since my last repair, there is nothing they can do without charging me another $ 50.
So wait… I’ve already invested $ 170 into the same issue that SHOULD have cost me a one time fee of $ 20 and now you want me to give you more money to fix an issue you couldn’t fix the first 3 times? No thanks. I tried to reason with them and explain to them that the problem was obviously never fixed (oh and just incase you are wonder, I bought a new charger from apple, so it wasn’t my charger).
They kept tell me to pay more, pay more, they weren’t getting the point so I just left with a lesson learned. If they fix a problem with your phone the first time around without any future issues, consider yourself lucky.
I would not recommend this business to work on your phone other than screen replacement. If you are having hardware issues with your phone, take it somewhere else or you will «mysteriously» start facing the same issues a couple weeks later with the addition of new ones
Lesson Learned: say NO to this place for hardware issues, say YES to this place for only screen replacement.
Will never do business with them again and will advise friends living in the Manassas area to go elsewhere.

I’ve been here previously for a separate issue — so I came back due to te excellent service I received the first time.
So my second time was for iPhone repair. As before, excellent service. I must add that they are super friendly as well! I would recommend this place to anyone seeking repairs!

I took my broken HTC EVO 4G in here to have the screen fixed. They gave me a couple of options at different prices and I made my choice, they told me when it should be ready and called me the day it was. Price was exactly what they had quoted me and the phone was fixed properly. The end.

Went to this shop because of the positive reviews and they deserve it.
Had to fix my cracked iPad screen. I called and they quoted $ 100, which is what they charged. I asked one other repair shop and was quoted $ 120 for one to two day service.
They gave me a receipt showing that I left the device with identifying info from my device, which I appreciated. They asked me to come back in two hours, which I did and it was ready. No problems. Very fair and square and over the board, which is good since a lot of these places are kinda shady.
They do accept credit cards.
There were other customers there too. One woman wanted to repair her iPod, which just stopped working. They quoted her $ 70. But the guy said that he was not sure if it could be fixed and that she could buy a used one for the same price. I thought that was useful advice.
The shop is a bit hard to find, it’s in a small shopping center/​office complex that’s easy to miss, so map it before you go.
