Update! So after ignoring their relentless calls after my appointment, I decided to block their number to avoid being harassed. They just called me from a blocked number asking to book my six week ultrasound. I explained I no longer wanted their services and to please remove my name and information from their database and to not contact me again. They then called back four more times from the blocked number. I cannot, for the life of me, understand how these people think what they’re doing is okay. Meanwhile, my local planned parenthood was shut down and they actually provide vital, life saving procedures for women. Unreal.

This place helped me a lot so far. They have an excellent program you can be a part of if you would like. Yes they are a Christian facility which is nice for moral support. They dont judge you, and they make you feel very welcome. The bad review below is all about medical issues(prescription issues) they do not offer you prescription the only thing they give you is prenatal vitamins if you need it(which you can get over the counter, so i dont see what the issue is) They also give you a free ultrasound(yes it is an actual nurse with a good amount of knowledge and a doctor looks over them) which is awesome if your insurance has not came though yet. Thanks carenet for helping me!

Terrible Service. I called the 1 – 800 help line they give when you are facing a pregnancy crisis, asking where I can get plan B. ** ILLEGALTOPRACTICEMEDICINEWITHOUT A LICENSE. THISPEOPLENEEDTOBESHUTDOWN.** The level of qualifications needed to man the help line are: *a blindness to scientific fact — 98% of the time, Plan B DOESNOTSCIENTIFICALLYAFFECTPREGNANCIES. It is very rare, less than 2%. PLAN B ISNEVERPRESCRIBEDASANABORTIVEDRUG. That is called Mifepristone, and is never given over the counter. You must have a doctor prescribe the abortion drug, and you are very closely monitored. *ignorant of birth control and condoms *moronic devotion to abstinence(you’re an unplanned pregnancy crisis center! people clearly aren’t abstinent) When I asked for Plan B, the woman manning the«help» line said the clinics didn’t carry it. She asked when my last menstrual cycle was –it’s due to come up in 2 days — and said women can only get pregnant a few days a month, so I shouldn’t really worry about pregnancy. Plus Plan B is ONLY90% effective, so… She was so cavalier, I was shocked! First of all, you can get pregnant any time during the month. You’re likelier to get pregnant during certain times, but in actuality, you can get pregnant any time. This an unplanned pregnancy we’re talking about. An event that is momentous and would change MY life forever… and I shouldn’t worry about it? And shouldn’t be pro-active about prevention? I can only imagine a scared, or worried person calling about an unintended pregnancy and getting this casual attitude about having a baby and changing your life. Heaven forbid someone be on the wrong end of a crime and need resources like birth control that these people refuse to give. When I asked what the clinics did do, she said they give pregnancy tests, std/sti information, and«information» about Plan B and the abortion pill.(On the website, they mix up the morning after pill, a contraceptive, with the prescription only abortion bill. Inacuracies abound.) I asked if they provided condoms to prevent stds/stis. She realized that’s a logical move, but no, the clinics do not. They scare you into being abstinent, and don’t provide you with help to prevent pregnancy when you do idiotic things. Plan B has about a 90% success rate. She later related stories that women she has spoken to — who are these women? are they my age? are they using Plan B correctly? — had had bad side effects. The effects being your next period is irregular(due to the hormonal ingestion, duh) and their next period may be heavier. I said that’s a small price to pay to prevent an unwanted pregnancy and I will take those side effects. «Help» Line: Uninformed person that pressured me to not do all in my power to prevent a pregnancy. Where is the care, compassion and non-judgement in that? Christians, my ass. Call Planned Parenthood for REAL information. Most people associate PP with abortions, however most of their work is in preventative work and reproductive healthcare(annual exams, etc.) They provide pregnancy tests, std/sti factual information, condoms, monthly birth control and emergency contraception — Plan B — without lying to or pressuring you. 1−800−230-PLAN
