Seab H. and I met here for dinner this evening to check the place out. Unlike Seab, I had no preconceptions or expectations — I like to go in that way and see what happens. We ordered Corona with limes while we looked over the menu and munched on a basket of chips with a very thick, almost sweet salsa. I ordered a beef Burrito with Guacamole. While we were waiting for our food, I looked about. The place is quite cavernous. As Seab was able to ascertain through questioning our server(who turns out appears to also be the manager), the place is allegedly popular late in the evening — probably Mexican/Latin American music and dancing. The business cards for the place list her name as Jane Lee — but with the name«Lucy» in parenthesis. Our food came out — the Burrito came with rice and beans. I mixed them together, then added a good bit of Habanero sauce to the mixture and the Burrito. I noticed they had not yet brought me any Guacamole. As I cut into the Burrito, I realized that they had put the Guac inside the Burrito. We asked for napkins when one of the servers came by — she just looked at us — clearly a language issue. So we held up the napkins and asked her using Spanish and pointed to the napkin. She told us how to pronounced napkin and so we indicated we needed more napklns. The Burrito was delicious! The steak meat in the Burrito was tender and succulent — the rice and beans were tasty. I will definitely eat here again. Thanks to Paul M. for trying this place first and letting us all know about it! Visa and MasterCard only — they don’t accept American Express.

Spent yesterday in Virginia’s newest city — the City of Manassas Park, and went looking for a lunch place along Route 28. All the choices seemed to be on the other side of the road but we finally found this place and enjoyed it immensely. It’s a Mexican /El Salvadorean Restaurant /Night Club which is only open from Thursday to Sunday. They also open for lunch, but we were the only people eating there. It is clearly one-stop shopping for Saturday night pleasure — restaurant, bar, food, dancing, music. No separate lunch menu but the prices are pretty good. I asked them for the best El Salvadorean item they had on the menu and they gave me a fantastic fried chicken dish with cheese, avocado, fired veggies, rice and beans — it was really tremendous. My vegetarian dining partner had vegetable fajitas and loved it. There were plenty of beers and tequilas on offer too, but since it was lunchtime — even if it was Friday — I thought not. $ 26 including tip for two massive lunches. Bit steep for lunch but great value for dinner and for the quslity and quantity of the food, Totally recommended. Would love to go back there for some Saturday night dancin.
