Denny’s

Stopped coming here for a while but my friend has drug me here three times now and I have to say, they really have gotten better Marleny (spelling?) is the best server and in *MY* experience it’s been clean, quick, correct and yummy!

I am so thrilled to say my boyfriend and I had someone seat us before we could even get to the front desk. The lady seating us asked if we liked where we were being seated or if we wanted to be seated somewhere else which I also really appreciated. Our waitress was very friendly as well. The prices of the food on the menu is great and you get a lot for your dollar. I was also really pleased to see a calorie list under all the food items. I haven’t been to Denny’s before, but I’m a fan now.

Greasy food. Lady management yells at wait staff Too much. Our Server was doing an amazing job, we thought and manager yelled for no reason. Stupid. Not sure why they still employ her. Must b family. sad. sad. Those girls could get better job!

My parents started going to Denny’s about 5 years ago for breakfast after they exercised. They enjoyed the food, great customer service, and a special waitress Marleny. I would join them occasionally. The coffee, food and service was better than any other Denny’s I had been too! The staffed always made my parents feel special.
My Dad passed 2 ½ years ago and my Mom still likes to go there to eat. It became a special place for them when my Dad was alive. There is a special waitress, Marleny, that has waited on us all those years. She is beautiful, thoughtful, and will give you the best service ever!
Thanks to everyone at Denny’s for making our family feel special every time we come in!

The food was really good the service was good as well until i heard the male manager speak to one of his employee in a nasty demeanour. This made me upset because she was actually being a great server. Seeing the attitude of the manager made me not want to come back. I am a manager in custumer service myself and I for one know you dnt speak to your staff in that manner

Mush meal cholesterol palace. Bacon this, sausage that. Can’t get iced coffee, they only have an over sweetened so called «iced cappuccino». I tried to have real coffee added to this over sweetened drink only to be told I would be charged for a coffee to add «real» coffee. Then the waitress comes out with an order that was clearly cancelled. She was told to come back to take the order. When she came back she was told that I was not ordering anything besides my «iced coffee». Somehow, brainlessly she put the order in anyway. The French toast had an odd «grilled refrigerator taste» and the pumpkin pancake was so so. Then we had to wait for the waitress and manager to do the «high finance» and fix the bill. Oh, did I mention how salty the «chicken» sausage was? There you have it.

Denny’s isn’t a place I go to and expect to have some problems. A couple of friends and I decided to go for dinner, so we split the check. The food was good but one of my friends ordered his plate without mushrooms, and it came with mushrooms. When it came to paying, we had a problem. One of my friend’s card broke, so all she can use is the card number and the expiration date. Every place that she’s been to, they allow her to pay using that information. When she’s at work, people have that same problem and they are allowed to type in that same information and it is acceptable. I think that issue is unacceptable and shouldn’t happen.

Service is horrible here. I went there at 12 or 1 am and there was 4 of us. It’s been a while but I remember that i was really not happy bc there was like 2 people there drinking and we didn’t get our order until later and she kept talking to those people and didn’t really care about us. Okay. It’s fine to talk and do whatever. But when you have customers. Do you’re job. It shouldn’t be that hard to just glance at out table sometimes to see if we need anything. It should be that hard to just be nice.

Service was great, food arrived in a timely fashion. Then I had literally taken one bite when a roach started crawling through my food. Informed the manager and walked out. Still tipped the waitress for her services though.

Don’t fall victim to their lies and scams. Went in today and was promised a free promotional meal to find out when I was finished it wasn’t free. The management lied straight to my face about it being free. I would of been happy to pay for it but I hate being lied to. I will not return to this establishment.

Only place where you can get great food and also play cricket in a parking lot at 2 AM on a Saturday morning.

Let me start off by saying I wish I didn’t have to give any rating because this business deserves 0 stars. my experience was horrible. I bought pancake puppies and they were not done, the middle was very doughy and under cooked. I wasn’t upset about that. I also bought quesadillas and I found hair in my food. I’m a server as well so I understand most the time it’s not the servers fault. I was very polite at first, and told my server about my dish. She acted like she couldn’t understand a word I was saying so I asked to speak to a manager. The manager NEVER came to the table, I waited 20 minutes for him. All in all I still had to pay for my whole meal even though I didn’t eat it, they also locked the doors and threatened to call the police if I didn’t pay. The restaurant I work at would have handled the situation in a more professional manner. And after everything the manager cussed me out and told me not to ever come back.

Best breakfast service in Manassas. Staff is friendly, and very attentive. The food is reliable, and consistent. Kudos to the manager!

Don’t let the diane waitress serve you she stupid! She wrote down my order and still got it wrong! That really annoying! It’s understandable if she does took it and try to remember it! I totally list my appetite i have to wait for the food to be cook while my hubby is eating hid breakfast! Next time dining in there i would definitely ask for somebody else not her if she is the only one there i would walk away!

I stopped in for breakfast this morning and was seated promptly. The waiter was very polite and took my order right away. My drink was served and food brought out hot and quickly.
Denny’s was very clean. The staff seemed very well trained which is a delight

This is my third visit to the Manassas Denny’s and I will NEVER go back. My boyfriend and I ordered a cup of pumpkin coffee (it was bitter), the pumpkin breakfast for $ 6.99 (it was good) and added the slice of gingerbread halves each for what we believed was .49. We were going to take the gingerbread halves home for dessert and had them immediately boxed. When we got our bill we alerted the waitress that we were overcharged for the gingerbread halves (on our bill we were charged $ 3.69 a piece for 1 slice of 2 halves). We asked that she adjust the price. She stated that the .49 for gingerbread ONLY applied if you got the «Build Your Own Grand Slam» for $ 6.50. I thought the menu was unclear about this and she got a manager. The manager came over and was snotty and said, «You ordered them. You’re mistaken. This is how much they are». I stated that if we weren’t getting them for what we thought we were paying, we’d rather just send them back. We only ordered them because we thought they were a good deal for that price; and since our meals @ $ 6.99 were much more costly than the «Build Your Own Grand Slam» for $ 6.50, it shouldn’t have been an issue. She didn’t apologize, try to make things right or help me in any way. She stuck with, «…you wanted them, I’ll have to throw them away and basically, ‘you’re stupid for reading the menu wrong». I have worked in customer service for YEARS! This is NOT good customer service. She told me she’d take them off and throw away our uneaten gingerbread slices, but that we were never welcomed back in the restaurant. We eat out often and just ordered $ 20 in food from them to go 2 nights ago. Way to lose a customer! I have never been treated more poorly. I was offended and disappointed. No worries Denny’s, I’ll never return. From now on, I’ll spend my money elsewhere.

About only place on Christmas morning for breakfast. Would have been 5-​stars but for the service and Pin Head Management/​Servers. Not real hungry so tried to select something from the «55+» menu. One Egg with Cheddar cheese and choice of Bacon or Sausage and comes with Pancakes. Did not want the pancakes as a Diabetic so wanted to have Wheat Toast instead. Was told that there were no substitutions, PERIOD. Tried to make the case what did it matter, pancake for toast but was told «NO SUBSTITUTIONS» and that I could build my own Slam that by the way cost more than what I wanted and did not get what I wanted. Got real pissed and just ordered two eggs that cost more than what I really wanted. No Toast For You!!! Not sure who the Pin Head is who came up with this but my god. Yes, I realize that sometimes substitutes cost more money and a business can loose money but Toast vs Pancakes???, come on, I would guess its less cost and surely did not take more time, money, etc than pancakes.
Gave it two stars as what I got was good and the cooks have nothing to do with Pin Head policy. Cross Denny’s off the list for a year or two I guess but what a shame; food is great but its the principle of the thing and I hate Pin Heads.

It’s a Denny’s, so really, don’t expect much. Want cheap food and a place to chill with your friends for a few hours? Cool, meet here. Avalon crew, what up?

This restaurant is in the top five for sure!
The food is delicious especially the nachos and the skillets I recommend it to anyone who isnt afraid to spend money on their food. The waiters are so happy and pleasant to be around with and to have a conversation with. They ask if youre ready to order and if youre not they say its fine and that they will come back in a few.

It’s half-​past a monkey’s bum in Manassas and you’re looking for some late late night eats. There’s only two options if you want a sit down, wait service meal — the age-​old choice of IHOP or Denny’s. It’s a matter of personal preference, but THIS GUY will take Denny’s every time.
Stopped in here late Sunday night (or early Monday morning, however you want to phrase it) for some much-​needed eats. The build your own pancake TV ads were calling my name, but I wound up going for more savory eats. The great thing about Denny’s is that their current menu is that just about everything is «build your own». Build your own appetizer trio (or duo) — I’ll have mozzarella sticks, a cheese quesadilla, and jalapeño caps please. And the newly added jalapeño caps are money … they’re basically breaded and fried sliced jalapenos. Brilliant!
Oh, and I can build my own burger as well? How about a double cheese burger with cheddar cheese, bacon, egg, LTM, on grilled potato bread. YUMMY! I can get hash browns as a side if I want to? You had me at hello!
I will say that Denny’s isn’t necessarily «cheap eats» these days — they do have that nice 2−4−6−8 value menu, but you typically get more for your dollar at IHOP. But the food is IMO better at Denny’s, and the variety of options have won me over. I like options … and Denny’s is my option to satisfy late-​night cravings.
