RIDICULOUS SCAM! Beware! Wanted me to pay for a part that was $ 250 more than the retail price (yes, I found a dozen sites selling that exact item with expedited 1 day shipping for $ 250 less). Then they wanted similar amount for labor. Did not solve my problem — Highly disappointed by a Mr. Jay and this Duvall Company.

I just bought a townhouse and the air was so dry, so I called a bunch of places for a whole house humidifier. Jay at Duvall’s answered all my questions on the phone, and even asked if I could email him pictures to make sure it would fit (I was worried about that).
Jay and James showed up on time, completed the installation in less than the quoted time. No hassle on price, it was exactly what was quoted to me over the phone. During the install they answered all my questions, even about things unrelated to the humidifier. They even fixed a badly installed pan drain for free while they were there!
Duvall’s is now my first and only call.

I had a major water backage in the main drain sewer where it was clogged so whenever we use alot of water, it will start back flowing to the storm drain in laundry room + bathtub + toilet in the basement.
Of course, problem got worse and it was to the point where 1 person finishes showering in the morning, all the nasty stuff will start to backflow.
I had quite a few different plumbing issues in different houses, and I know every single time, plumbers seem to overcharge, because really, whatever the price they say it is, is it.
So I never had anyone that I would use repeatedly.
This time, I read all the good review here and decided to try Duvall’s Plumbing Co. for the first time. Mr. Tyson and Cody came out at the time frame they promised and got the job done very professionally and cleanly. Now the drain is working like charm ! They were very polite and friendly.
They charged about $ 450. I do understand different issues in different houses will cost different. But I know Duvall’s Plumbing definately charged alot less because I had same problem in this same house 3 years back when tenents were living here. I ended up paying $ 1000 back then, to the plumber I got refered to. It was a guy that I don’t even know if he has a legit company where he is insured and bonded.
Duvall’s Plumbing is definately lifetime plumber for your needs ! And I will refer my friends to them everytime without hesitation.

I was recommended to this company by someone. So I made an appt with Tyson. I had few plumbing issues going on; needless to say, I was very embarrassed on how long I waited to fix the issue. However, as the issue got worse I had no choice but to make the call. So I called this company; Tyson came out, I had a leak in my ceiling, and Tyson was very knowledgeable and knew what caused the problem. One issue was the tub facet needed to be replaced and in my other bathroom the seal needed to replace around the tub area, and also had a clog as well. Something so minor I didn’t realize would cause this leak. It’s been about month now and haven’t seen any more leaks. Tyson is very friendly, honest and the price was in my budget which I thought would be a lot more. He was very patient and answered pretty much any of my questions I had and also gave me recommendations and in addition showing me few other tips. Now this what you call a great plumber that goes out there way. This company will be my number one company I call for any future plumbing problems.

Update — Friday morning as I was getting ready for work — I turned on the shower and … nothing. No hot water. I checked the breakers… nada… checked the other sinks in the house… nada, it was official, my 12 year old hot water heater pooped out on me.
I took a quick Army shower and took my grumpy tail to work. I called Duvall’s and the awesome woman on the line (whose name I neglected to get) offered me emergency service over the weekend — which I declined. We set up a service call for Monday afternoon. Matt arrived, and immediately could tell that there was no saving my hot water heater… it was a goner.
He called into the office, then provided me with a quote and confirmed they would be back the following afternoon.
On Tuesday, John and his crew arrived in the afternoon and within an hour or so they had the old unit drained, removed and the new one installed, hooked up… and streaming glorious hot water! I might add that I live on the 4^th floor of my condo building, those stairs are no fun.
The guys at Duvall’s are fantastic! They’ve worked on my sinks, hot water heater, corroded laundry lines, my heat and my AC… and since my house hates me and is going to continue to fall apart… I will continue to call them for all my HVAC/​Plumbing needs.

I have used the services of Duvall’s Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning for more than 20 years-​first in my Manassas house and now in Alexandria. I have always been pleased with the excellent quality of service, fairness of pricing and courtesy.
Recently, I had a particularly tricky mess after my neighbor dug up my irrigation system and ruined my outside plumbing. Duvall’s worked with my irrigation company over several weeks to solve the problems. J.C., the owner, personally came out to diagnose the problem and make the repairs. I was not charged extra for the many visits, extra parts, or man hours.
This is truly Customer Service. Duvall’s mechanics are extremely knowledgeable, reliable and professional. I highly recommend them.

We have used Duvall’s twice now, once for a water heater and gas leak issue and now for a water leak. They are always very friendly and responsive — and provided same day service!
Someone else said this, and I agree whole-​heartedly, they are extremely reasonably priced and very upfront. I really appreciate the way they set expectations and keep to them.
I highly recommend their service & customer service — dispatching, communication with the technicians and billing.
They are a great company to have on your side!

Had a clogged sink and had tried fixing it myself for about a week. I called Duvall’s and they had people out to me the next day, after 30 minutes and only a $ 160 invoice the sink is unclogged and working right as rain, they had to snake it 40 feet. Tyson and James were professional and friendly and I was very satisfied with their work.
I would highly recommend Duvall’s plumbing and will use them again next time I have a plumbing issue.

Don’t even think about using anyone else — seriously! We have used Duvall Plumbing many times for over 15 years and they have always, always been fast, professional, honest, and very reasonable in prices. Not just reasonable — very reasonable, and did I say honest? I don’t know why John Duvall doesn’t hire more plumbers to keep up with the work. They are always busy because everyone knows about them. I usually have to wait a day or two for the appointment but if it saves me $ 500+, I always have the time. There is no one near as good as these guys.

I have nothing but amazing things to say about one of the plumbers, Tyson, and the fantastic service he provided! My bathtub stopped draining one evening, and I just thought it was a slow drain. When it wasn’t gone in the morning and water started coming INTO the tub after using the sink and flushing the toilet (GROSS), I knew something was terribly wrong. I attempted to clear the drain myself with absolutely zero luck. Duvall provides a lot of plumbing services for my condo building and they came highly recommended by the manager on site. Our building is in Chantilly, and it looks like they service most of Northern Virginia.
I called Duvall at 1:30 p.m. and they were here within an hour. Normally, it may have taken longer, but Tyson was already servicing another unit in my building and he stopped by while he was here. He first tried to clear the clog from the toilet and then got a different snake for the tub. He is extremely pleasant and was really helpful in answering my questions. I was worried it was a much bigger issue than just a blockage, but after some careful diagnosis, we realized it was just a REALLY bad blockage.
After about an hour and two snakes later, Tyson was able to clear up my clog and do so without braking my bank account! The company comes highly recommended from my neighbors (one of which was almost screwed over into a brand new water heater by a different company, but it was really just a $ 50 fix! Which Duvall did with ease), and now they come highly recommended from me.
Give them a call when you have any trouble. You will NOT be disappointed.

John Duvall, owner, personally came to my house to attempt to fix my kitchen faucet. He tried for about an hour and came to the conclusion that the head piece was incorrectly installed (they used the wrong part in the first place) so he recommended that I purchase a new faucet and he would replace it the next day. He only charged me for one visit which was awesome! He was very punctual and nice. I will use him again!
Also, he does HVAC work and quickly looked over my two systems and provided me a quote for cleaning.
