This is one of my favorite lunch spots in Manassas. Hamburgers cooked medium are always juicy! Love the thick milkshakes. It is a great family restaurant. It is always clean and the staff is friendly. You will not be disappointed.

So, now I can say I’ve eaten at both Manassas locations. This is the one that’s literally across from the train station so it’s really convenient for any traveler or commuter. This one I think is better than the one off of Route 28. Personally I feel it looks better and has a better feel to its customers. This time I got the boneless BBQ wings and fries. Wings are great. No skimping on the sauce and were very easy to eat. Fries this time were better too. Not heavily salted and I didn’t feel like a slob afterwards(despite nailing myself with sauce due to a botched eating of a wing). I would gladly return here for another visit. Since I already know how their burgers are(nice burger), I would not be opposed to getting either a burger or wings here. Now it’s onto the milkshakes to try here, but at least I can count on them doing a good job for a burger and wings. Thank you!

Was not particular impressed with this location. I was not greeted or welcomed when I approached the counter. The guy just took my order. Seemed a bit dirty inside. The soda fountain machine was watery in several if the drinks. When we told them they didn’t do anything they just said OK. I had a fried chicken sandwich with fries. The sandwich was very dry and not very tasty. The fries were ok, but they could have been crispier and have more seasoning.

Love this place. Yummy food, nice servers, and the manager is very kind. Food comes out fairly quickly, even when they are busy.

We came here looking at real estate in Old Towne area. Saw the Unilocal reviews and gave it a try. First impression was okay, with the exception of my husband receiving stares from other people in the restaurant(looks different from most people around here). Customer service was good, but the wait time for two kids meals was 15 – 20 minutes! I get that this is a cook-to-order burger joint, but it isn’t busy at all(MLK holiday, may I add). The fries and chicken Philly sandwich were very good, but hamburger left me wanting better. I am going to CJ’s next door the next time I am in the area. The wait time is ridiculous. I could have gone to Burger King or Five Guys…

the only reason foster’s is still in business is because of its location in old town manassas. it’s right next to the outdoor ice rink, which made it a convenient place to eat after a fun night of skating. the decorations at foster’s are great. the restaurant has a rustic feel, and there were colorful christmas lights all over, which i’m a big fan of. the problems began with the food(or rather the lack thereof for the duration of our half-hour wait.) if it were a fancy restaurant, of course this wait time would be warranted. but the menu choices included frozen chicken strips and flavorless wings. by the time i got my vanilla milkshake, everyone was done eating. in the context of talking about things to give up for lent, a waiter said to me, «i hate your religion.» of course it was in jest, but i didn’t really find that okay. one thing unique to foster’s is the way they take orders. the customer circles his choices on a paper menu, then hands it to a cashier. i think this is a clever and fun way to potentially cut down on confusion. as long as you go to foster’s knowing it’s for the fun of being out and not with the expectation of good food, it’s fine.

Not impressed. Went out of our way to find a great burger and came away disappointed. The actual burger patty was ok, but not worth the price. Awful buns that cracked and fell apart. Shredded lettuce falls out. Manager looking put out behind the counter. You can make a better burger at home and certainly buy a better bun at the grocery store. The only positive were the onion rings. Would not eat here again.

I wanted to say that Brad from Corporate called and after a lengthy discussion on the phone he personally came over to apologize and bring my friend a refund. Brad gave us his commitment to work with the manager on how he can come across to customers and to work with employees on health procedures. We understand that things can happen sometimes but it is how complaints are handled. I’m not ready to try this location yet, but Brad was great and I hope to return soon. Thank you Brad for the wonderful customer service and really listening.

Great burgers. Prepare to wait a good 15 minutes for your food but hey, it’s worth it for a freshly cooked burger and french fries, trust me. There are a number of good beers on tap at this location as well, and you can sit outside and watch the trains coming and going.

I love this store! The location is great! The atmosphere is great! The staff is friendly! I love their food! I’ve had just about everything on their menu and can’t complain! What people don’t realize is everything they have is fresh and made to order. They don’t precook ANYTHING. This is NOT a fast food joint so people need to realize it’s a place you can come sit and relax. If you’ve never been before the staff is pretty good at explaining how everything works and I noticed any food orders they took over the phone the FIRST thing they mention is it takes 12 – 15 minutes. So you know just how much time you need to wait and not waste time. To the woman who complained about their baskets… I know for a fact they hand wash every basket after customers complete their meal before it is used again… And I know that they have hand sanitizer that they constantly use. I am a frequent customer! Yes they will be picking up trash constantly off the floor but that’s so the store doesn’t look messy, but I think they are pretty careful on how they handle food and such! These employees are all about trying to make everyone happy and if you are not satisfied I do know Jesse the assistant manager goes out of his way to make sure if something is wrong or is screwed up that he will do whatever he can in his power to make sure you leave happy! I would recommend this store in a heartbeat! If you’ve never been to a fosters grille I recommend you stop in for one of the most amazing burgers loaded however you want and you will leave happy!

Went this past Sunday. The place was filthy and I saw a roach. The manager saw it and squashed it. Last trip for me!

Came here for a quick snack before heading on the train. The environment is bar-like. As my family and I were waiting for the food, we saw one of the employees pick garbage up from the floor, throw it away, then grab a food basket to deliver to a customer. The manager on duty also emptied a basket in the trash can and put it on the bar table. When I asked to cancel our order(15 min wait already which is long for just a burger and fries), he asked why and I told him and he didn’t even apologize until we went through the process of refunding. He didn’t realize that he and his staff are unsanitary. I recommend going to CJ Finz instead!

Great burgers, fries, and shakes! Prices are reasonable, too. Try the turkey sandwich. It’s real turkey meat, not the processed kind like you get in a deli.

Food was great, but manager was very rude, had bad attitude and was yelling at his staff in front of everyone. Staff up front was nice and friendly, but manager definitely made it a bad experience.

My wife and I had dinner here. We had a Philly Cheesesteak, a charburger, and buffalo wings. We have been to the Vienna and Centreville locations too. The Manassas location is nice because it is right by the train station and the trains run by on a regular basis. It can be a little annoying if you have to park on the other side of the tracks and wait for a train but they are short passenger trains, not the long cargo trains. I wish they had a couple more TV’s placed in the seating areas. You can only go here to catch a game if you can find a place to sit in the bar area. I like the ordering system because it cuts down on ordering errors. For those who don’t know, there are paper menu pads near the register. Grab a pad and a pencil and fill out one menu card per person. You check off the entrée, sides, sauces, and toppings that you want. I saw a couple of reviews that say the price is too high but I challenge anyone to go to a typical fast casual restaurant and get a sandwich, fries, and drink for less than $ 10. Foster’s has a few craft beers on tap from mostly local or at least Virginia breweries. Everyday from 4 – 7 domestic brews are about $ 3 and premiums are $ 4 along with $.075 wings. We just missed the happy hour but I enjoyed my Devil’s Backbone 8 point IPA anyway. I can’t wait until it gets warmer and we can use their outside seating to enjoy happy hour. As we were waiting for our food and while eating we noticed how every person was greeted warmly by the cashier or manager as they walked through the door. Almost everyone that came in or left the place seemed like they have been coming there for a long time and talked to the servers or managers like they were friends. Do not be fooled by the small and cramped bar area, there are several other seating sections past the bar area making the place deceivingly larger. Our food was really good. The hot buffalo sauce is very tasty but the wings are not quite as plump as they could be. My burger had a nice smoky char on the outside but did not have a burnt flavor. I think they only cook well done. I prefer medium well to leave a little bit of juiciness. The burger was a little dry but the toppings were nice and fresh. The steak and cheese was a typical chopped steakum meat style sandwich. Nothing special but what most have come to expect for steak and cheese. We will definitely be back when we have the urge to have a sandwich and wings type of meal or to hang out for happy hour.

Right next to the Manassas train station, this burger joint served up a really good cheesburger and fries(and soda) for $ 10. I liked that the restaurant didn’t really look like a restaurant, but a bar. It has one long bar in the main part of the restaurant and a few different rooms in the back with tables. Has a good selection of craft beers on tap. I ate at a table outside since I had my dog.
