Handmade Tattoo Parlor

Came here to get matching tatt’s and the experience was awesome! The vibe was hella chill and our artist Kenny was funny, he uses a light hand but I was still on the verge of balling my eyes out haha. Would deff recommend coming to visit this spot for your next ink craving.

Kenny is amazing! Just got my 3^rd tattoo done. However this is my first done by him… He took what I wanted and I let him run with it. He took my idea and made it his own and made it even better than I had imagined! Thank you Kenny for such a great tattoo!

Kenny, the owner, is amazing. He has natural raw talent for tattooing. He covered up at a tat on my ribs. The coverup is stunning and I cannot get enough compliments on it. He’s also done some other tats on me and friends that looks absolutely awesome. I would not allow anyone else to tattoo on me again. Give them a call and book with Kenny. You won’t be disappointed.

I received the first part of my tattoo from Ben when he worked at The Body Gallery. He worked on the outline and some of the shading, and it came out great! Almost a year later, I went back to him to finish it, and by that time he was at Handmade Tattoo. I was to get the shading and the color done, and that was supposed to be it. SIXTEEN hours after my scheduled appointment time (we started 5 hours late!), i arrived home with still more work needed to be done. Ben took frequent breaks, and would be away for 20 – 30 minutes at a time, leaving me frustrated and in tears. I didn’t want to leave because I was all alone and just wanted the original artist to finish the job he started. I scheduled my third session for a few weeks later. The third visit stared over SIX hours past my scheduled appointment time, and this appointment was by far the absolute worst. Ben didn’t seem like himself, and on at least two occasions during my appointment, he FELL ASLEEP! WITH the tattoo machine buzzing! Once he colored my skin on a different spot than he was working on, but conveniently covered it up with another color. He would say the machine «slipped», but I saw his head bobbing and the tattoo machine inching closer and closer to my arm. It was a horrifying experience, and I will NEVER go back to him! Although it happened almost a year ago, I’m still very very angry, as it’s a large tattoo. I’m embarrassed to show it off. It looks horrible, and I want it fixed. I paid him $ 1300 in total, and I’m just so upset about the whole experience.

I got a tattoo here in 2011 from a lovely woman (cannot remember her name though!) and it is still holding up a lot better than the other work I have had done in the past few years. Now that I’m back in the area there is no doubt in my mind where ill be returning to for my next piece. They saw me fast, the shop was clean and everyone was really friendly… Someone even complimented me on how good my new tattoo looked on my way out!

Don’t be put off by the off the beaten path location, Handmade is the best! Just try not to miss the turn when you go! This shop is a house converted into a tattoo parlor and though it is fun and highly decorated everything is EXTREMELY clean and properly maintained.
My husband and I have both gotten tattoos done at Handmade, and I can’t say enough great things about them. Not only is our artist, Jason, unbelievably talented, the whole crew are just great people who make you feel right at home. There are two shop dogs, but they are incredibly sweet and friendly and in my opinion only make the experience that much better.
When we first went in, I was nervous to get my first piece done and am incredibly picky about my designs. Jason completely understood the concept and worked in his own artistic flair to make my piece much more than I expected it could be. We had so much fun during our llooonnnnggg session (my husband and I got tatted on the same day and were there for approx 12 hours) that we immediately wanted to go again. This isn’t one of those places that just wants to get you in and out and make a buck, they really want you to have a piece of art that you will love the rest of your life that will be unique and special.
If you want amazing tattoos and enjoyable people to work with, definitely get tattooed here. You won’t regret it.

First off, if a tattoo parlor is not your thing, this will not help. For the rest of us, Handmade is amazing. The staff is friendly and eager to help but the real greatness of this place lies in the artists. this amazing crew of talented artists is lead by the owner, Kenny. I never had a tattoo before I met Kenny because I never trusted anyone to take a needle to me. After seeing quite a bit of Kenny’s work, I knew he had to be the one to do my first tattoo. I have since gotten to tattoos and will be returning very soon for a 3^rd. I know I have no other basis for comparison but I see no need to have one as i am certain that Handmade is THE place to get a tattoo in this area. I wont go anywhere else.
