Joe’s Pizza & Subs NY Style

Our go to place. They basically know my order as soon as they figure out its us. Prices are reasonable. If you order enough sometimes they’ll throw in a free 2L. Wedge fries, subs, and pizza delicious. The scilian is delicious.

I’ve been ordering from this location for over 10 years. Quality food and great prices. Plus they deliver later then anyone else. I highly recommend the Hawaiian salad and Hawaiian pizza, it’s our families favorite.

Two words: WHITE PIZZA .
They have the hands down best white pizza. Me and my husband decided to give this place a try and we were not let down. Though it’s not in the «best“part of town, that does not effect the customer service or food .
Don’t let the location or old building scare you away, you want to give this place a try !

Expected better. Had the steak turnover; it was very doughy, having significant excess dough in edges and 1 – 2 inches of dough on corners. The steak was like Philly cheese steak type, and the mushrooms were out of a can not fresh. Not very tasty, a Pizza Hut P’Zone is MUCH better. Disappointed.

Joe’s pizza was a yummy place to order food at. I was on lunch break from my job and I used a coupon I had for 2 Subs, and a cheese pizza. I orders a New Yorker Sub, & a Steak & Cheese Sub. Both and pizza was good. I got to take a lot of food home as left overs. Thank you Joe’s Pizza! :)

I’m knocking down the review to 3 stars after trying other things on the menu.
On Thursday I tried one of their pasta dishes, and maybe it was my fault for doing so, but it was a spicy pasta dish (the sauce consisted of something like arrabiata or diavolo sauce, with baked chicken, shrimp, and sausage), cooked with spaghetti, and came with bread and I order some breadsticks. The food was reasonably priced, but I was not impressed.
The sauce was extremely dominating and had a lot of fire to it, but it was way too rich and overpowered the rest of the dish. The shrimp, which was really good, was really limited to only 4 prawns. FOUR! The chicken, which was baked, had no taste to it. The sausage was great, but the sauce ruined it for me. Lastly, the pasta was very, very undercooked. I don’t think they let it boil too long before taking it out of the strainer.
The bread was decent, but overall the meal stunk and I was still hungry afterwards.
I will try their pizza again, and if it stands, will leave it at 3 stars, but lets hope the pizza is still good, because that’s part of the reason I wanted to give this place another go.

Just moved to VA and first night we get pizza and house salad from Joe’s on Grant. Pizza def. not what some people are saying… Not all that great. Crust is tasteless, IMO. Oh, and I spent several hours sick as well. We picked up and I have never in my life smelled such horrible smells outside a pizza joint (or any restaurant) — dumpster is right there next to it. Plus, plenty of shady characters outside. My car almost got hit when leaving. Horrible experience. Never again.

I highly recommended the hot Zep Hoagie with everything, but you better get the large. Some friends dropped in the other day and asked if they could pick up some food along the way. Well you know where I sent them, and for what.
The other subs, pizza, and lasagna are always awesome as well.

The worst wings EVER!
I ordered the wings for my first visit to this place. Huge mistake! Utterly disgusting. Obviously frozen prior to cooking. There was a weird smell emanating from them and the sauce was basically watered down and had no flavor.
The other issue is where they’re located. Adjacent to a heavily traveled, two lane street inside of a shopping center that’s seen better days. Getting into the parking lot is a test of will and patience.

I usually only order the steak and cheese sub with everything except the hot peppers! They’re great, friendly, quick and its a reasonable price. When Im at work its the only place Ill order delivery from

It’s about time that I wrote an updated review for Joe’s, and I’ll throw them an extra star as well. Why? Well, it’s not that anything has really changed here since my review 2.5 years ago. They’re still located in the sketchiest part of Manassas, and I would NEVER recommend eating there. I do pick-​up orders here a lot and it’s not that bad, but I’d still recommend that the ladies take a buddy with them to pick up. I still think they’re the best chicken parm and Italian cold cut subs you can get delivered, and their buy 2 get 1 free Monday Night deal is still a tremendous deal.
If there is any reason for the upgrade, it’s one of two things. First, their Sicilian-​style pizza is the go-​to pizza for the wife and I now. If you love that deep thick crust square goodness, you’ll love it. It’s worth the little bit extra in price and cooking time. Trust me. And the other reason is that Joe’s is, without a doubt, the most consistent delivery option in Manassas. All that yummy sub and pizza goodness done consistently right night in and night out deserves a 4^th star in my book.

I really don’t know where to begin but I will spare any future pizza lovers the trouble. This pizza is horrible. Take it from a guy born and bred in East Flatbush Brooklyn. This is New York style pizza? Yeah they must have pulled it from the swamps on the Jersey side of the hudson. fugetaboutit!

LISTEN UP, MANASSAS FOLK.
I’ve lived here LITERALLY my whole life, and for twenty-​three years I’ve been driving past this little hole of a place. About six months ago, I decided to try it.
I told my story to Mike, the owner, who’s family has been running this same location for 30 years. He says everyone says that. I ask him what’s good. He says, «Everything.» He tells me to order a Spicy Italian sub, and simply makes me promise: if I like it, tell people.
I’ve since been back dozens of times with dozens of friends and tried most of the menu, and everyone is consistently SHOCKED at how GOOD this freaking food is. The Spicy Italian is the best sub I’ve had in my life, and I’ve had subs on 4 different continents. They make all their doughs from scratch, hand-​toss their pizzas, get whole sides of beef delivered from a butcher to make their cheesesteaks. This stuff is incredible. And it’s been right here, under our noses, all along.
I used to bring out-​of-​town visitors to Tony’s on Mathis Ave for a uniquely Manassas small business eatery. Now I bring them to Joe’s.
So here you go, Mike. I’m telling people. Eat at Joe’s. It’s seriously the best in town.

I’ve lived here for 3 years and around the beltway 5 years. I know where to go to for some NY style pizza in my home state next door. I finally found the closest thing to NY pizza in this town without being in NYC. (Yes, yes, I’ve tried the others around here. I swear those high reviews are from peeps that must be townees.) The heavy, sloppy, cheezy slices. The thin sliced italian sausage strips. Oh yum! I tried their specialty Rustica with the pads of ricotta cheese and carmelized onions…
I tried the spinach and mushroom… italian sausage and mushroom… tuna salad with house dressing… chocolate cake… none of these dissappointed. *See the pics*
Everything delivered ahead of estimated time of delivery and hot. Excellent customer service and great coupons on the to go menus.
I plan to try the Sicilian style and the subs when I can get rid if the cravings for thin sliced pizza… so delicious!

Joe’s Pizza is fantastic. A large take-​out pepperoni is $ 10 + tax (if memory serves). That’s if you feel like saving a few bucks is worth venturing into that parking lot of despair. Other wise, I think you’re looking at a few bucks more + tip to have their incredible pies delivered to the safety of your own home. You’ve got to ask yourself one question… Do I feel lucky? Well do you punk?

So what’s up Joe? Right off the bat 3 stars reason this is a small family owned operation they have canned Pepsi and virtual cop2. Stopped in here on whim just to check em out and meh not to bad. Got the steak and cheese sub with the works. The meat isn’t all that great :-/​sandwich is nice and warm and its ok overall but not great. Next time I’ll have to do a pizza review :)

I have ordered from this Joe’s for many years. I introduced my fiancé to it two years ago and he can’t get enough of their pizza. They are always so friendly from here and always recognize us when we go and pick up our order.
It is in a horrible location. I will not go alone to pick it up. My fiancé and I go pick it up together and we have never had a problem. If you pick up, the large pizza is only $ 10 dollars. If you get it delivered, it is $ 15. I like saving the $ 5 dollars. :)
We have had many things from here. My favorite is the hot Zep. Absolutely delicious and a must! My fiancé just loves their pizza and he says nothing compares to it. Their garlic bread with cheese is good. While their steak and cheese is decent, it definitely isn’t the best I have ever had. I don’t care for their fries. I will eat them but, I am not a fan of their seasoning they use on them. I enjoy their small side salads from time to time. I have gotten there chef salad a long time ago and it was good. Their gyro’s are delicious as well! I got there hamburger sub once before and it was just too much meat. I couldn’t finish it. Their canoli’s and carrot cake are good as well if you need something sweet.
We are always please when we get food from here and will continue!

This USED to be the best.
Yes the location sux and the pizzas are very good. However, our last pizza could have been a «white» pizza (that’s not what we ordered) because there was hardly any tomato sauce on it.
We do have the carry out one item special, but that’s gone up a few bucks in the past year or two.
I was kinda creeped out when I called last time, and they said, «Is this Pitbull [addressing me by my real first name, tho]?» since it had been at least a year since I called them. Not sure how they knew my name.
Anyway, with Ledo’s in town, they are going to be hurting… Ledo’s definitely is number one in my book and has been since I visited the flagship location in Hyattsville over 30 years ago.

Subs are pretty good and fairly priced. They do deliver. which I suggest you do. They have a terrible location. right off of Centreville Rd in Manassas Park. They should move. If it wasn’t for the bad location, they would have gotten 5 stars
