Manassas Eyeglass Repair

I am straight up obsessed with this store. It’s my new fav family business!
I bought Chanel eyeglasses last year. When I started wearing them, BOTH sides of my face, where the arms were touching, were getting swollen, itchy, and oozy (I know gross and TMI!!!). I realized there were Chanel metal plaques on the insides acting as a logo tag and I was deathly allergic to the metal. Now this is MY FACE! I love my face. So obviously I wasn’t going to mess with that. Chanel eyeglasses are basically special orders and a $ 500 investment so it was sad to stop wearing them. I put them away and wore my old Chanel glasses (I know, I’m a fancy brat).
It was my annual exam this week and I asked the eyeglasses store for a solution and recommendation and they gave me Manassas Eyeglass Repairs’s business card. «If anyone knows what to do, it’s these guys.»
I have to stamp a passport to get to Manassas. It’s not very close to me, but I am so happy I made the trek. I walked in and the owner took my eyeglasses and went to work. He unscrewed the plaques, put glue in to fill in the holes and sanded down the glue. Then he put glue on any metal on the insides that couldn’t be removed (decoration and the parts that connect the face to the arms). His daughter brought them back out to me and they acted like it wasn’t a big deal. They were so nice and humble. I don’t think they realize this is something I love and I haven’t gotten to use them for a whole year. And even if the solution was easy for them, I would have never ever ever trusted myself to do it myself! I mean come on. Me with a screwdriver and sandpaper… on Chanel?!!
The service was very quick! They were were able to finish it in 20 minutes or so.

I broke the arm of my Ray-​Bans right at the hinge and took them to MER to see if they could be repaired. Dave was very upfront with me that it might be impossible to fix given the exact placement of the break but he was willing to see what he could do. He was able to glue the arm back on and it stayed and moved fine but after wearing them a few times afterwards the glasses didn’t quite sit right on my face and since they were scratched from the accident anyways I eventually ended up just buying a new pair. Even so, if I ever have another issue I won’t hesitate to go back to MER. Service was friendly and fast.

My son broke one nosepiece… they said that they don’t make those anymore but he happened to have one in stock… blah blah… I paid $ 65 to have one nosepiece replaced. I knew I was being had but my son needed to wear his glasses… I guess they knew that too… Afterwards found them on ebay selling 10 for $ 15.

My dog decided to use the arms of my glasses as his new chew toy. He jumped onto the kitchen table… I took my beloved glasses to M.E.R. and they founds some arms that would fit onto my frames, in a few minutes I had my glasses back! L O V E, L O V E!
1 ½months Later… yes, «I» didn’t learn my lesson and well again my arms were chewed. Took them back to M.E.R and my arms were still under warranty and they repaired them free of charge! Customer service on both my visits was outstanding! This is my go to place for ANY of my eye glasses repairs! Thank you M.E.R.

I sat on my glasses, broke one of the arms off and twisted the other. Took them here and had them back in 90 minutes, good as new. They had to replace both the hinges and since they are designer frames, they couldn’t just use any random part to fix it. They had to dismantle some $ 180 frames of the same brand to fix my glasses for $ 65. Very affordable, fast and even came with a 4 month warranty. Highly recommended.

While you wait eyeglass repair, whoohoo!
Don’t go out and buy a new set of frames; take it to these guys first!
They can tell you within minutes if it’s fixable and quote you a price right away!
They do quality work and it’s not expensive!

Absolutely fantastic service! I needed to have the nose pads replaced on my glasses. $ 5 and 5 minutes and I was out the door. I even got some helpful recommendations on how to clean the silicone pads if they become dirty.
The place is in a non-​description location near the Yorkshire Restaurant. My only suggestions would be that they improve their web site to make it easier to find the address and to «honor» their no-​smoking sign! The place really reeked of cigarette smoke.
