Our hearing test experience was fine. The doctor is good with kids and can calm them enough to get them through the 30 minute test. The problems started when we requested the test results. The receptionist would take our messages and we never received a response. After three months of calling and leaving messages, I decide to stop by the office and request the results in person. The test results were not done and I had to sit for more than an hour waiting for the copy. No apologies, just«here’s your copy» and a brief explanation of test results in the waiting room, while other patient pretended not to listen. They had no delays submitting the claim to my insurance 3 months ago. I wish they were as expeditious and detail-oriented providing the service I paid for.

Dr. Mary Grote is great! Her whole office is absolutely wonderful. They listen and continually provide useful advice as we gotten use to my son’s hearing aids. Even assisted with sharing resources when it came time to purchase the hearing aids. I trust her experience and knowledge that she provides to my son. They did not treat me or my family like a number but showed us they cared. My son was scared at first and was quite challenging when it came to touching his ear. But because they were patient and explain what they are doing he comes to the office with no fear or concern. I’m so grateful to them all for helping me with my son’s hearing.

2 months ago I purchased the Carat Binax hearing aids from the Hearing Health Care Center and worked with Mary Jo and her staff for testing and fitting. I’d purchased Siemens hearing aids a number of years previous so was somewhat familiar with their products. Long story short — neither the products nor the service provided have lived up to any expectations or promises. Not even close and for spending ~5K I expect something that works and not excuses.

Dr. Mary Jo Grote is the best! We have been taking our two hard of hearing children to her for many years, and she has the patience of a saint. She is really good at fitting hearing aids to very small children as well as older people. Everyone in the practice is really competent and friendly. They are competent about dealing with insurance and similar stuff. Unlike many other impersonal medical practices, one gets the feeling that everyone at Hearing Health really cares about the patients. Her son Mark is a wizard at fixing hearing aids as well.
