Just got a call from Orchard Glen telling me I was approved for an apartment. That bad news is that they wanted to DOUBLE my deposit from $ 500 to $ 1000 for «not meeting a criteria,» which they refused to tell me what I did not meet. Plus they wanted to charge me to replace the carpet before I even move in. It seemed a little sketchy to me.

Very slow to respond to maintenance repairs, astronomical water bills — more than $ 100 per month for 2 people was a very common complaint. don’t ever expect to see your security deposit back — in fact they will send a letter stating that you owe more. And who in the world would put pay washing machines in the individual units, especially when you are already paying for the water and electricity to use them.
