I had the most unbelievably horrific experience with this company. I work for a property management company and deal with vendors on a daily basis and this company is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with. In fact have I never written a negative review for any vendor in the past 2 years of working in property management until today. A client of ours(a property we manage) had a maintenance agreement with Preferred Heating & Cooling. Within that agreement a tech comes out twice a year(fall and spring) to service the unit. I called in October 2015 to schedule those appointments. We booked the Spring inspection way in advance(October) so I called in March 2016 to follow up/remind them it needed to be done. I asked for Silvo(tech assigned to the job) to send me a new contract since ours was up and send me the invoice/work order/results of the Spring inspection. I have called 11 times since March 4th. March, April and now we are into May with no one from this company ever calling me back. I have been very nice and pilot each time as I have left a message with their answering service. 11 times with no call back, no contract, no proof work was done that I can present to the owner of the property. I called the answering service and Silvio today and basically said, I was going to write a review on Unilocal! if someone didn’t call me back. I got an immediate call back from Silvio who said to me «I have asked the owner, Brenda, to send it several times and she hasn’t sent it. I’ve been on vacation(for 3 months?). Don’t ever call and threaten me. And we aren’t renewing with your owner. The place is too hard to get to, there is no parking and we aren’t very good when it comes to that type of unit.» What? Requesting a call within a reasonable time and asking for documentation of work done is not too much for someone to ask. I am even more shocked that they told me they no longer wanted to business with ME! This company is disorganized, unprofessional and clearly don’t value customer service.

I scheduled an appt on 06/13/2015 at 10:00 a.m. with Bill Drake and no one showed, no one called. Very disappointed. I had an appt with another a/c company and cancelled it because I felt Preferred was a better choice. Obviously I was mistaken.. I had hoped given their responses to the negative feedback on Angie’s List that they would be diligent about showing up but apparently they are no shows to many appts. Don’t waste your time with these people.

Hidden Gem of HVAC companies. I have use them twice and was completely satisfied both times. Service reps were very professional, always used shoes covering before entering my house. Even though the tech had to enter and re enter 15+ times while working on my unit he always put them on to prevent getting dirt on my floors. Unlike other companies who just try to get every penny out of you these guys actually try to help you figure out the most cost effective solution. I wont call anyone but these guys. They always show up on time and even call 30 minutes ahead. A+ customer service and the do great work. Got my ac Maintenance check from them twice and also got a leak fixed.

I had an issue with my AC and called yesterday evening. I was able to get someone out this morning and the receptionist Mellissa was very nice over the phone. My technician, David was absolutely WONDERFUL. He was very knowledgeable, polite and timely. If you have an option, ask for him. He told me his recommendations but did not push services on me and successfully fixed the issue, which I thought was a lot worse than it was. It was not costly and I will definitely be using them again.
