At first impression, the façade at night resembles that typically unsavory motel you patron when you’re on the run from the FBI(see: Blacklist.) Front desk, however, did not give me any trouble and were courteous during check-in. They even responded promptly to a request for an iron & board for that«I’m trying to look like James Bond, but I’m Jason Bourne» look in the morning. All the rooms have been attractively renovated with the RRI modern design motif of laminate hardwood, dark cherry wood furniture and brick red walls and duvet. You have your microwave, fridge, bowl sink, and flat screen that actually has HD channels. The bed was acceptable. My stay, while I was inside my room was very comfortable. I occasionally had trouble with the smell of cigarette smoke and a one-off waft of urine in an outdoor walkway which was a turnoff. Was it at least a valuable stay? I think a clean room at $ 80/night, proximity to Bull Run for shopping and highways you might be tempted to. And you know what? You might live to write another Unilocal review like me. Just bring some Febreeze.

The hotel rooms have been renovated so everything looks more modern. There’s parking all around, and the office is near the entrance of driveway when you enter. Easy process to check in and check out. No problems with the staff — they were friendly and nice. My boyfriend and I booked a king bed room for one night(weekday) for less than $ 100. The room was clean when we came in. The king bed took up pretty much the entire room! The bathroom had a full shower and bath, and toilet, but it was cramped. The sink was right outside of the bathroom. There was also a flat screen TV, probably 30-something inches, nothing fancy. Overall, we got a very nice motel for a very good price. Everything was clean and new. I would definitely recommend this place :)

Red Roof Inns are basic accommodations. We came here for a night over before early morning surgery in DC. Great for one night, not for extended stays. Rate at senior discount was best available within 40 miles of DC($ 65INCLUDEDTAX). Two doubles. Rooms recently updated. Very quiet considering proximity to I-66, and we were on the highway side of the building. Will stay here again when the need arises. UPDATE: When we got home, wife realized that her hearing aids were missing, and she thought she may have left them in the room at RR. We contacted the front desk and they confirmed that, yes, the housekeeper had turned them in to the front desk earlier in the day. I indicated that I didn’t want to trouble them any more than necessary, so if I sent a self-addressed and stamped padded envelope would they be able to mail them back, and the front desk person Kari said yes. I did that and included an additional cash tip for the housekeeper for doing her job very well and turning in the hearing aids. We got them returned in a matter of days, saving us a huge amount of money not having to buy two new hearing aids.

No iron? No hairdryer? I can’t really complain except for those two missing things for the price but really– No iron or hair dryer?

Really clean, nice spot, especially for less than $ 79/night. The room was basic, with two beds, TV, and a bathroom. The bare essentials. Room service was always prompt and always left new towels, soaps, even though we didn’t use them all yet. So, basically they wanted to make sure we had enough of everything. Location is fairly close to a McDonald’s, bowling alley, and Highway if you needed to make the trek to the D.C. area, or the other parts of Virginia.
