WAR Rifles

Not sure how anyone could give this business 1 star. I did a lot of research online in regards to gun repairs. I called them on the phone first. Just to make sure they answered the phone. They did. I had a gun that was in really bad shape. When they seen it, they gave me multiple options and were up front with the pricing. They communicated with me multiple times over the few weeks they had my gun. When I picked it up I was more than happy with the outcome. The workmanship was phenomenal. These guys are gunsmiths. You can see and hear it in their tone how much they love fire arms. Do not be deceived because it is in a warehouse district. You will be very happy with their work. If it is possible, they can do it.

Funny reading Mark’s review-​they told me they couldn’t install a flash hider on an FN FAL. In fairness, I have an inch pattern FAL (L1A1). I dropped the rifle off to have a misfeeding issue diagnosed (this is the first gas-​operated assault rifle I’ve ever owned). I was told that they were really backed up and I could expect it to be ready in 2 – 3 weeks. A little disappointing, but I figured I’d wait as they seem to be the only gunsmith in town. After a couple of months of occasional phone calls I gave up and picked the rifle up a little over three months later. It wasn’t ready, of course, but I used the few months to figure out that I needed to switch magazines and regulate the gas.
Now my rifle operates great. I suppose I should thank them for forcing me to figure out my own weapon Maybe I should ask them for a job?
A warning: this guy is in good with several local gun shop owners and employees, who probably receive priority service. If you’re looking for a local gunsmith, you will likely be referred to WAR rifles. I strongly suggest finding a different gunsmith-​even if you have to drive out of the area or ship your weapon, you will get it back faster than taking it to these guys.
Quick footnote: apparently there’s a new gunsmith opening soon in Fairfax near the old Border’s and the Wal Mart.

Could not find the shop. The address here leads to a strip center that is not the correct address, same result when put in Google Maps. I then tried to find the address by driving down the road to it but the road ended before I got to the corresponding street number and I didn’t see any signs for the business. Maybe call them first and get good directions?

Great business to deal with for your rifle needs. I was referred to this place from Virginia Arms in Manassas.
I needed a stock installed and, after trying to do it myself, I brought it to these guys for some help. I dropped it off in the morning and four hours later it was ready. The price was very reasonable, too. Every individual I dealt with at the shop was very nice and helpful. With all the machinery and equipment I saw, it appears these guys can perform a variety of services.
I’ll definitely be back if I have any other rifle needs.
