Every«Main Street» «Old Town» in Virginia needs their cute little store that sells kitschy, slightly over-priced knick-knacky things that you don’t really need, but totally want, right? Old Town Manassas is no exception, and our store is Whimsical Galerie. Whimsical is a tad larger and more organized than these types of stores can be. They have a neat upstairs area dedicated to throwback-style toys. They make use of the old bank vault(because it used to be a bank, Old Town, hello!) and have turned that into the«Man Cave»(clever) with pretty much everything you could want under the sun with a Virgina Tech logo, and not nearly enough with UVa logos. The wife was tired of my UVa. flag hogging up her flag stand, so we bought a «Go Team» flag stand for me. I was tired of UVa. losing, so I bought a Dallas Cowboys flag.(I spent extra on the one that lights up because, you know, I totally need that) We got home and, whoopsie … the 3-piece flag stand only had two pieces. It looked more like a prop for a Spinal Tap concert than something to proudly display my team colors. We intended to return it promptly for a replacement. But things happen and Old Town can sometimes just be a pain, so we didn’t have a chance to return it until two weeks later. But no worries, the staff allowed my wife to return it with no issues whatsoever, and now we have a flag stand of proper height that displays my silver and blue star in all of its flashy LED splendor. Good job on the customer service. Definitely a cool place to check out in Old Town M-Town. And don’t be surprised if you leave with fuller hands and an emptier wallet!

This is a cute little store in Old Town, Manassas. First of all, I appreciate the hours here. Sadly, there are a lot of places in Old Town that close at 5pm… uh, some of us work. Even on the weekends a lot of these places tend to be outta there around 2:00. This is a store filled with total randomness… house decorations, jewelry, toys, games, cards, candles, out door decorations, just total randomness. It’s clean and organized, but can be a little cramped. I like the fact that there are a lot of locally made crafts there. I personally like the Shining Sol Candles that are made in Manassas. The staff is friendly and enjoys talking about the stores selection. Stop in if you find yourself window shopping in Manassas.

My parents stopped in here while visiting and they loved the store. The woman working was super nice and very knowledgeable of the area and area restaurants. They loved the atmosphere and all of the quirky things.

It’s a very unique shop however they need better people work there with personality. I just didn’t get a friendly greeting like every other store I’ve walked into. I had met the owner at a fair and she was super nice and has made me wanting to go to that store. love the toy attic and the price isn’t bad at all. I would be back to show my husband the Man Cave and the Toy Attic. I do love all the different things and am super glad I went into there

This is such a fun little store to go into! There’s so many things to look at and choose from, sometimes it’s hard to make a decision because I want several things! A great store to go into on a whim to pick up a small gift for someone, even a gag gift if you are in that mindset! The Toy Attic is a great place for the kids too!!! Service is wonderful as the owner of the shop is there just about every day, but just a neat place overall!

Whimsical Gallerie is a very unique store. It is whimsical! It is conveniently located in Old Town Manassas near other shops, restaurant’s, and galleries. It had been several years since I had been so I decided to visit Whimsical Gallerie today with my 8 year old daughter. I was amazed at just how much was in this store. There was the expected items such as the lawn décor, stained glass, candles, and unique gifts. What I didn’t expect was the ‘Man Cave’ and ‘Toy Attic’. The ‘Toy Attic’ has a nice play area for children as well as a seating area for mom to take a rest. There is a large selection of educational toys and some have samples available to try. Anyone can find a nice treat for themselves or a great gift for someone special. The website has much to be desired. It gives the basics but wouldn’t convince me to visit. This location is fairly easily accessible. There is limited street parking as well as a covered parking garage one block away. Maneuvering wih a stroller would be manageable, a wheelchair may pose a few challenges. I did not see an elevator to the upper level.

Cool, eclectic litle gift shop in Old Town Manassas! I finally had a chance to go in today to check it out. They have all sorts of stuff — silly little gifts, cards, candles, toys, jewelry, and so on. One thing I found interesting is that in the back of the store is this massive stainless steel door — that looks like the entrance to a bank vault. A sign on the wall next to the door proclaims this to be the«Man Cave.» It’s a small room — feels like it was a storage vault at some point. There is a small electric fireplace in here — with a comfortable leather chair — and all sort of games and stuff to look at for sale. There is also an upstairs area — full of toys. I found something I was not expecting — a cute little stuffed animal — an «Emerald Dragon.» One of my little nieces loves Dragons — so I got her this for the next time I see her. I also picked up a groovy little pack of «Thank You» cards. At check out I asked the lady ringing me up about the Vault — she told me the building used to be a Bank at some point in the distant past. I love that they preserved the vault door!(I’ve attached a picture of the vault door to this review).
