This store is really cute. They offer a great selection of OPI, NYX, and Essie, along with a myriad of other products, such as Deva and Smith’s. It’s not a beauty supply, so prices are retail. The discounted OPI bin was not really that cheap, so that was disappointing. Staff was friendly enough. But I’d visit again when in the area.

I have been getting my hair cut by Andrea for about 5 years and I am always thrilled with the service she provides. It is rare that someone can cut my hair so that it looks good in its naturally curly state and when styled smooth and straight. My mom has also been going to Andrea for cut and color and always gets compliments on her style and color. I’d recommend Andrea and beans to anyone!

This store carries a lot of high-end things, so it is obviously pretty pricey, but they carry pretty much anything and everything you would need beauty-supply wise. The owner is fantastic and so helpful and knowledgeable.

This review is long overdue. Robert is absolutely fantastic!!! I have found his advice not only to be spot on but he’s also very honest. My hair is naturally curly; however it’s always great to occasionally blow it out. Robert recommended a fantastic shampoo and conditioner to me — I’m in love! I thought getting a curling shampoo and conditioner would help enhance my curls, I’m holding 60+ dollars in product and he basically told me to put it back & try a 19 dollar bottom of deva curl. Once again, GREAT recommendation. He could have easily sold me the unnecessary product but his honesty gained a lifelong customer(and plenty of referrals). Don’t be afraid to ask questions, gain advice, and be open to dialog. The store carries expensive products; however, I find it to be aligned with other specialty beauty store chains. My shampoo and conditioner are 20 dollars a bottle but they last much longer than the products you buy on the grocery store shelves.

I have been going to the salon at Beans for quite a few years. Andrea always does my hair and she is GREAT! She has such attention for detail and always gives me exactly what I want… but also encourages me to try new styles and colors. I wouldn’t want anyone else to touch my hair!

Outstanding merchandise and service. The make up artists are great to consult with and will often steer you toward even less expensive options without being asked. Full range of prices from moderate to top of line(and some hard to find) products for hair, skin, etc. Attractive artsy location in Manayunk. Wayne store tre chic. Center City is sleek and modern. Love all three BEANS.

This store has an amazing selection of products … def one of the best in philly! It is all about hair and I can’t get enough. If you are in search of a product, any product, just go there and ask. Most of the staff is always very knowledgable and helpful! You get out of haircare what you pay for it …

I like this Beans, but not nearly as much as the Chestnut St location. The staff was quite personable, but it’s as big as a shoebox. I was terrified I was bound to knock something over even with the flutter of an eyelash. They have a nice selection, and it will do in a pinch, but the Chestnut St outpost has much, much more.

Awful! The 3 times I’ve gone there I’ve been in the store standing at the counter waiting for over 5 mins before anyone spoke to me. Their defense is that they’re in the back room… ok, the store is the size of my bathroom… if I can see you, you can see me. And really, if you’re not watching the comings and goings of people in your business, isn’t that when bad things happen? I went there for my expensive product that unfortunately is only sold in 4 local stores(3 of which are Beans and the other is in an undesirable neighborhood). The second time I went they were out of stock and ordered it from another of their stores and I was advised that it would be brought in within 2 days. 3 days pass and no call from them… turns out, they got it and stuck it behind the counter and never thought to call me. When I called to speak to a manager, there wasn’t one there and the excuse given to me was that they don’t have a full time person, so no one noticed that my item had arrived. Bad business…

I’ve been going to Beans Beauty for over 5 years now. My hairdresser is Randi and I have loved every single haircut she has given me… I have thick, curly hair and she is simply amazing at blow-drying and styling. It’s no wonder that she has been featured in a plethora of Philadelphia magazines for her work. The only downside to this shop is that it’s pricey. For a cut and a blow-dry, I usually pay around $ 60… I cannot speak for other hairdressers employed. But, overall, I like the atmosphere of both Beans locations.

Fantastic for a wide range of hair products, but overly pricey for a haircut. I used to go here, never got anything too drastic done to my long hair, but I was charged $ 80 for the shampoo, cut & dry. Definitely not worth it. However, I do have to thank the hairdresser for introducing me to Esuchen’s Bo Bo Capture Foam. It smells amazing and really helps me keep volume in my hair when I want to add some texture. It’s not beneath me to search through the back room’s discount OPI bin.

When I went to this branch, I had an expensive but mediocre haircut. It was a special cut called a «Diva» cut for wavy hair, but looked awful from her. Very disappointing.
