Diamond G Pest Control

Picture this: I’m cooking and all of a sudden I see hundreds of extremely tiny, light colored mite-​looking creatures crawling all over the top portion of my stove where the light and exhaust fan are. Fortunately, my stove and the above portion are black because these things were almost microscopic and light, and would have never stood out if the surface was a lighter color. So, I freaked out and called ABC Pest Services. ABC comes out and takes a few samples using sticky tape. One week later and despite the experience of ABC’s lead entomologist, they still were unable to identify what they were nor come up with the correct method of getting rid of them.
So a friend comes by to take a look and suggests I call his friend. Excellent referral! Ryan Overfelt, the owner of Diamond G Pest & Lawn, came out within a few days and automatically nailed the issue. It turned out a bird had made it’s home in the exhaust vent above my stove and those little creatures were parasitic to the birds nest. And yeah, you could have guessed what they are called. BIRD MITES. I’m surprised the entomologist missed that.
Ryan took out the entire fan piece by piece, cleaned out the nest along with all the birds’ nasty little buddies, wiped down the cabinet space above the stove and sprayed the entire area. But, did he stop there? Nope. He went in and sealed the area with foam from the outside so the birds would never return to nest there. Then he took the additional step of inserting steel wool in the various brick seep holes throughout the house, attic included. There must have been at least 15 such openings!
So the birds got foreclosed on, the bird mites suffered a minor holocaust, ABC Pest Services got the boot and Ryan got a two thumbs up and a lunch. That’s how grateful I was. I took both him and my buddy out to a quick lunch down the street. I’ll never go back to the big pest control companies as long as an honest, hardworking and knowledgeable person can do what an entire company falls short on. If that’s not a recommendation for you to use Diamond G Pest & Lawn Control, I really don’t know what else to add.
Oh wait, I do. After 10 years of being in the same home, no pest control company has been able to guarantee a full extermination of scorpions. After using Diamond G, I’m happy to say I have not seen a scorpion inside the house in three years! I’m starting to wonder if those companies were dusting the attic with fairy powder.

I called Diamond G pest control to take a look at some termites which had recently taken residence on my patio. When he came over, he told me they were not termites but gnats. He told me how to easily take care of them. He also did a thorough inspection of my whole yard pointing out things I should do to make sure I don’t get pests and how to detect if I am getting any termites or other problems. In the end since I did not need his services, he did not charge me for the 45 minutes he spent looking at my yard and giving me invaluable advice. Extremely knowledgeable, honest and very friendly. If I ever have any pest control needs I will undoubtedly go with Diamond G.
