The food taste good, the staff is nice, and the place is cozy but all the menu items are vastly overpriced. Paying as much as a high-end restaurants at $ 21 for their main lamb dish. The portion size was tiny and I only received 2 small lamb pieces that left me hungry afterwards and disappointed. If their prices were lower, I would bet that they would get much more repeat customers. At this price I’d prefer to go back to Cotton in downtown Manchester and get their stuffed lobster ravioli with their huge portion size.

Always great food and staff are welcoming. Tiny place, so large parties are less-than-likely to be available(it is a popular place, especially during peak times like Friday/Saturday nights). The food is fantastic.

My favorite restaurant, I eat here weekly. Very fresh tasting and I can get it as spicy as I want. I love the calamari the best.

Came here for a quick bite and was not disappointed! I had the chicken chilli(($ 10), with a spice level of 4. They ask you how spicy you want your food so be prepared. I also tried their spicy tea($ 1)(spicy black tea) and it was delicious. The chicken dish had lots of flavor and rice was cooked to perfection. They also serve drinks which people next to me I can enjoying but i skipped on that. The place is small and quiet ambience. Prices were reasonable and Service was great.

Came here for lunch today feeling adventurous. It was exactly what i was hoping for! I got the Gundruk soup which can be ordered 1 – 10 on the spicy sale. I am a wimp … So I got 1 and it was delicious… my co worker got level 10 and said it was not spicy but he enjoyed his soap as well. For lunch we ordered shrimp and lamb momo. It was kind of like shumai. I didn’t care for the lamb but the shrimp was amazing. I would defiantly come back.

Cute little place with a cozy ambience. Looks like a small family owned business, our server was very polite and sweet. Their gundruk soup is a must must try! I liked their veggie momos too. My partner ordered the Choila which he loved. It was my first experience with Nepali cuisine and I totally loved it.

I loved this place! The food is delicious, tasty and very Nepalese. My friend and I both ordered a vegan plate and non– vegan plate along with a an «Everest» Strawberry alcohol beverage. All was fantastic.

Haven’t written a review in ages, but I really enjoyed this place. Not sure how authentic it is, I’ve never had Nepalese food before. We shared a plate of half vegetable, half lamb momo. Both were delish. I got the grunduk soup and the herbed flat bread. Both flavorful and delicious. Bf got the curry goat, which was flavorful but the goat was a little overcooked and chewy. Only reason for one less star. Lots of cilantro in the dishes, which I love. Place is tiny, family run. As if being in someone’s dining roon. Teen kids working in the front, parents cooking in the back. Enjoyed my experience overall.

Second year in a row we have stopped here while in town. As phenomenal as I remembered from last year. Delicious spicy soup and a delightful variety of momos. Can’t speak to the curries, while they sound delicious, we filled up on all the momos we could eat.

MoMos were good but could had been hotter. A great sauce with a spicy kick accompanied the momos. So good we used it to dip the herbed bread in. We ordered two different dishes that looked the same when served with a combo of rice, veggies, chicken and a sauce. The main dish was warm but the basmati rice was cold:(Flavor was good. Ordered a level 7 for spiciness which was hardly spicy at all so if you like spicy food order something higher in the scale.

Owner has responded to my posting in a very promising manner. I will give the place the benefit of a one off dish disaster and try it again.

The Unilocal promo drew me to this place. My first time eating Nepalese food and I did not know what the expect from this place. We started out with some veggie momos– sorta looks like shanghai soup dumpling but without the soup, and the flat herb bread which were very tasty. As for the entrée, we also picked out some stuff from the lunch specials(shrimp, veggie, fish, chicken dish with rice) — the sauces used in these dishes were very similar so it was hard to differentiate. The décor was nice– we had the entire half of the resturant to ourselves, haha

I haven’t been to Nepal, but the food here are so good. The momos, and especially the veggies are so good. My only complain was the mandatory 18% tip that they included in the receipt.

I’ve been here twice now, once for lunch, once for dinner. All of the momos are excellent; the mustard sauce with them is incredible. The Nepalese pickles are spicy, crunchy goodness. For dinner I ordered the tilapia, which was cooked absolutely perfectly. My husband really enjoyed his goat curry as well. The staff is friendly and helpful. We highly recommend!

I lived in Nepal for 6 months and had very different food than what is generally served at Café Momo. It seems like the chef is going for a lighter, more modern take on Nepali cuisine(e.g., using less oil, leaving veggies crisp-tender instead of cooking more thoroughly). It’s still tasty food, just not what you’d be served in the average home in Kathmandu. Nor is it terribly cheap, as others have noted. However, I do really love their momos, pickles, and soups(gundruk, mmm), which are the most authentic things you’ll find on the menu. The owner is sweet and I am all about supporting small, local businesses, so I try to come by here whenever I’m in town.

I love this place and try and make it here atleast once a month. The goat curry and rice and shikarni are a must-try. The momos are also nice. I also like the cozy ambience of the restaurant.

Seriously… Nepalese food in Manchester… in a strip mall??? Yep but it is a cool eccentric /eclectic place. Try their various momos… think Chinese dumplings with various stuffing in them. I had the spinach paneer… but wish I could have gotten the wild boar. Food is not really hot even if you go to 10… I loved my lamb chili with rice… the lamb had a wonderful rich succulent taste… not too lambie… and was cooked to perfection. Vegetables were cooked wonderfully… crunchy and crisp… I believe they grow a lot of them… or source them locally… they tasted amazing. Vegetarian choices abound. Wonderful warm service from the owner. I will be back!
