I have lived in countryside for about three years now. Over this time, I have had several different experiences. Firstly, the woman who we toured and signed with was one of the sweetest women in the world. This is why my ears perked up when I heard of her leaving. Since then, it has been issue after issue after issue. Firstly, and probably most, the manager, Brian, is a prick. He is egotistical, rude, and bully some. He has a separate office,(don’t worry– he can still see you through the blinds) so you have to deal with a few people before you get to him. First is Peter, Head of Matinence. This means, when you have a leak under your sink, Peter is the guy you call to come fix it. Peter appears to be a pretty ok dude until the fix isn’t dealt with for several weeks. Then you begin to find yourself wondering, «Why does Peter have a desk in the front office?» He answers calls. He is more or less an answering service to Brian. To sum up Peter’s intelligence level– I walked in and handed him a money order on the day rent was due and he asked«…uhh… what’s this?» The money order had my name, building and apartment number, and«RENT» written in. Next you come to Nikki, who we really enjoyed at first. She was so understanding when it came to a crazy neighbor of ours who was accusing us of parties being thrown when no one was home. Turns out, she is no different from the rest of them. When approached about a matter of vandalism that the office had caused, she kept making excuses and telling me to leave. Please note– this is probably the 12th problem we’ve had. Also, this is why we won’t be resigning when our lease is up. I’d like to reiterate here… THEOFFICE/MATINENCE DAMAGEDMYPROPERTY. Its interesting because when I live somewhere, where I pay the(insanely and unnecessarily high) rent that I do,(ps, the longer you stay the higher it gets and they don’t contact to resign they just slap you with a $ 1500 charge) I want to feel as though my landlord staff is competent enough to keep me, my family, and my PROPERTY safe. If they can’t do that, then why live here? There is literally no benefit in living here. Don’t come. I implore you.
