Beautiful arrangement, great for simple request. I really wanted to work with them for my wedding, unfortunately my experience was less than pleasant. I gave 3 stars because their arrangements are stunning, but I must leave note for the owner that she was disrespectful resulting in a customer (who truly loved your work) going elsewhere.
I live out of state, but we are getting married close to DTO’s location. I made a trip from CA to CT and had an appointment (booked weeks in advance) to sit and talk design– the owner Donna was 30minutes late. No big deal I was patient as she sent me a text explaining, she arrives, we talk design. I was guaranteed an estimated cost by 10/​1, I didn’t receive it till 10÷19… Ok late again, no big deal the wedding is next year, I have time. The quote we eventually got was twice the budget we gave her. Feeling discouraged I replied thanking Donna her for her time and letting her know though I really wanted to work with her, I didn’t know how I could possibly get the look I wanted while cutting the cost in half. She proposed we have a phone conversation and talk about other options, which we did. I tried to convey I thinks she’s a great artist and we really wanted to work with her, but I didn’t want to comprise the look I was going for. I felt her quotes were too expensive and I should look elsewhere. She offered similar options that were less expensive, I proposed simplifying the bridesmaids bouquets along with other things I didn’t feel would compromise the overall look. It felt like progress! We wrap up the call and based on my notes we cut cost and were now much closer to our budget. Then I receive the new quote… It was roughly $ 1000 more than I had noted. I reply defeated (again) and sad thanking her again for her time and expressing my concern the cost was still too high over our budget. As a mathematical thinker, I this time share more specifically what we can spend and where to achieve our budget, thinking it would be helpful– $ 75 on bouquets, $ 100 on tables ect. I work hard and saved up to afford the wedding I want, I gave Donna a budget and frankly it’s bad customer service and disrespectful to ignore it and make me feel bad for having a budget. I was extremely offended by the final email I received (fueling this review) stating I was «devaluing her expertise and work» and that «it’s time I look elsewhere». As I manage a retail shop, and I do truly enjoy DTO’s work, I can guarantee it was not my intention to «devalued» her work, I said lots of thank you’s and kept asking for her expert advice. We gave Donna a budget, and she chose to ignore it. I was patient with all of the tardiness and now nearly 2 months later I’m back at the drawing board «looking elsewhere». Very disappointing.

I found a different local florist who broke it down to me the flowers I wanted were too expensive for my budget, she worked through my thoughts and pictures and proposed other options WITHIN my budget. Honesty is reassuring, understanding and respecting a customers boundaries and budget was very refreshing especially in comparison. Because we planned our wedding so far in advance, we ended up saving more than we thought and I was able to add on the roses I originally wanted! Now time has passed and the icky feelings I was left with after my experience with DTO are long gone. It was certainly a learning experience working with DTO… Great artists often have room to grow in business management, hopefully we all learned something!

Needed flowers for my wife after she brought our son into the world and called up and $ 116 and four hours later a very very beautiful flower arrangement arrived same day. Nice person who helped me over the phone.

Absolutely wonderful little business. My husband called yesterday to have flowers sent to me for our anniversary. He wanted roses for romance, but he also thought that some sort of fall arrangement would be appropriate, and pitched this to the lady he spoke with on the phone. She knew exactly how to integrate my husband’s ideas into an absolutely gorgeous arrangement. My husband said that you could tell that she really loved what she did and assured him that they had lots of great fall flowers to put together for me. They called me to give me a heads up that a delivery would be made that day (I never received the message, but that was because I hadn’t checked my voicemail). When the delivery man arrived with my arrangement, he must have unsuccessfully tried the other two doors, because he actually went out of his way to come around to the back of the house and knock on the mudroom door — I was in the basement doing laundry at the time, and our basement is visible from that door.
My only interface with the shop was the delivery guy, but I was impressed that he tried so hard to make sure someone would be home to receive the arrangement. And they did a lovely job on the flowers. I can’t speak for their prices since I didn’t place the order, but my husband was really happy with his experience in dealing with this company. Highly recommended.
