Love Farr’s. A Manchester staple and icon. Thank goodness there are still family owned businesses like this in town. Whenever we need propane, we come here to support them. They are always nice and helpful! AND they used to have the CUTEST lady woodchuck on a bike — in their window! Made me love them even more! :)

Big fan of Farr’s! It’s a shame I lived in Manchester all those years and didn’t give this family run business the proper support and respect. Now that my boys are into fishing this is always our first stop. Fishing License? Check! Tackle and Gear? Check! Live Bait? Check! Very friendly service and supporting a local small business? Double check! Don’t let the storefront deter you. This is a wonderful shop with great folks…

My Girlfriend and I visited Farr’s a couple weeks ago. It was like stepping back in time. I hadn’t been there in quite a while. Very customer service oriented and not pushy. I recommend this place for any of your sport needs.

This is a great, local, small business that is big on inventory and service with a smile. Always helpful! Definitely recommend a visit prior to the big box stores.

I adore Farrs. Every staff member is friendly and helpful, and you get a level of service that the big guys like Sports Authority can’t even touch. Seriously, the customer service is spectacular and you just feel good about shopping here.

The local sports store is still alive. Farr’s is a classic and they have it all. Great service and everything you need.

Last of the old-time family-business style sporting goods stores. When you live in suburbia and spend time in the city, you start to get a little sick of big sporting outfits w/lackluster help staff. In fact, people born in the last decade or two probably don’t have any concept of a privately owned sporting goods outlet. Anyways, I only went to Farr’s for fishing gear and found everything I needed. What was most important was that there was always someone there who knew what was hitting, and what was missing, that week so, being an out of towner, I didnt waste time and money buying things that weren’t working at the time. They have several kinds of worms from medium-to-large Canadian nightcrawlers, to red wigglers and meal worms. Plus they also have shiners and a few other things. It’s also relevant that they happen to be the only place around for miles that has decent selection and knowledgeable staff. If you need outdoor camping, fishing, biking etc, type stuff, give Farr’s a call and ask them if they have what you want. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised at how friendly and helpful they can be.
