I have visited many nursing homes over the years and a recent visit to GNS showed the signs of what makes for a terrific home. Now this review is from only one visit but the person that is staying there loves the food. This is not a common remark from anyone staying in a nursing home. I spoke with three different nursing aids there and was impressed with each of them in their pleasantness and confidence in their occupation.
The hallways are all decorated in some very nice artwork. They have a small aviary near the front door with some lovely birds and I am told they also have an aquarium. I have never seen these in a home and they represent a really nice touch for the residents.
This is certainly a home worth checking out for yourself or loved one.
