Rolls were so loosely rolled I couldn’t eat without them falling apart. Not to mention majority of it was filled with lettuce and no shrimp!

Beware, this tasty place is very sneaky. The tip was added to my bill without warning. The service is less than pleasant, there is only one server for the entire place, so be prepared for a wait.

I came here because of the multitude of great Unilocal reviews — and I was really happy with my experience. great sushi and good prices. The salmon avocado rolls that I got were delicious! Would definitely come back again.

Great food and at a fair price. The dining area is small, but the service is excellent. Everything we ordered was freshly prepared. The volcano roll was amazing and so was the chicken teriyaki. I’ll definitely be going back for more

I really have no complaints about this place. I recently moved to the area & needed to find a new sushi spot desperately! I walked in, sat down at the bar thinking I’d end up eating there but after a few minutes decided I’d take my order to go. Lisa who was the Chef & I believe is the Manager was so nice to talk with! I told her how I just moved to the area & she then made my rolls for me. For what you get, you seriously cannot beat the price. My go to so far are the Lucy & Three Sisters roll with an order of Salmon Sushi. It comes to around $ 32 but completely fills me up. I’ve been back a few times since that first visit. Highly recommend if you’re in the area! I wish they did Happy Hour deals though!

Outstanding place for sushi, I’ve eaten here dozens of times, and finally decided to share a review. I don’t give 5 stars easily, but in all the times I’ve been here I cannot recall a single instance in which I was disappointed, and more than a few where I was totally blown away. Everything is good, and I’ve tried most of the menu, sushi is always fresh, and the main sushi chef is one of the owners. She’s fantastic, always makes an effort to accommodate special orders, makes suggestions, has even been known to make specials not listed on the menu. This place is top notch, and I’d recommend it to anyone. One piece of advice, get here early for dinner, its a small space and can easily get crowded. They do usually offer a free small appetizer if you come on a particularly busy night and have to wait too long

Clean! And very fresh sushi! Reasonably priced. It’s officially my new spot for rolls. The spicy crab roll hands down the bomb!

Haven’t been in 6 months and they still know my name and make me feel like family amazing. Food is awesome. Food is as good as the people running the place. Mike

I placed a pretty big to-go order with Hana Sushi for my daughter’s 6th birthday today and they were very courteous and the food was definitely top-notch. I have to say it’s the best quality sushi I’ve seen on the east coast by far especially being a California native and never having less than the best sushi in the west coast. Hana Sushi is definitely doing to be my go-to sushi spot.

Very good sushi restaurant; décor was quite lovely, although the space was a little smaller than anticipated. Miso soup and pork gyoza starters were ah-may-zing! We ordered quite a few rolls: California, yellow tail, salmon, unagi, and sweet potation/onion, and they were all delicious and fresh. Three quarters of the whole plate was gone before it even occurred to me to take a photo! I would definitely recommend this lovely little gem for every sushi lover out there. For those who don’t care for it, fret not! They also have lots of other options: udon, yaki soba, chicken pork/katsu, donburi bowls, bento boxes… oh, and FRIEDICECREAM! Definitely will try those next. :D

Now this place is by far one of my favorite sushi joints in ct so far! I’ve been going for years! It’s a tiny little hole in the wall but so yummy. I recommend this to everyone! And everyone I’ve recommend this place to loves it! If you go you have to see if they have the evergreen roll, it’s to die for! Everything here is fresh and DeLicious!

Environment: I was here a couple weeks ago with family on a Thursday evening. Half the tables were already filled and mind you, there is about 7 tables and then a few chairs at the sushi bar, so the seating is limited. The staff was professional, kind, helpful and efficient. My family was gabbing away about the menu and our waitress overheard our questions and came over to answer them! The right amount of involvement from the wait staff. :) Food: Spicy crabmeat salad and baby octopus were on point! The salad was sweet and spicy and a perfect size portion(I always wish there was more though, shh.) The baby octopus has great flavor and was perfectly tender. Tea: Earthy with hints of sweetness… and never needed to ask for a refill :) Rolls: Volcano, Lucky, Special of the day with eel and spicy salmon, Spicy Tuna and Spicy Crab. They were ALL delicious. We also finished up with deep fried strawberry ice cream. The breading was golden, hot and soft with a nice crunch. Side note: I have GI sensitivities like artificial coloring in my food. The ginger here is colored. I did not ask if it was natural dye(beet) or chemical dye(Red40?). I had no indigestion so maybe it is beet dye? All in all, Hana Sushi is on my go-to-sushi list when I need my fix!

Absolutely delicious. Definitely one of the top sushi restaurants I’ve ever been to. Very reasonable prices, intimate interior. Maybe seven tables inside in total. With that being said, great service and fresh food. I went with a friend and between the two of us we got three sushi rolls(Phoenix, Spicy Tuna, and Shrimp Tempura), miso soup(freshly made, very hot), and a yaki udon with chicken. All the food came out quickly and was extremely satisfying. I will definitely be coming here again in the very near future. They even do takeout!

This is our favorite sushi place in Manchester. The price is right, the service is quick and it generally tastes fresh. The sushi chef is a lot of fun(and a woman! amazing!!) and the server is all about business, which I like. The place is tiny, but I think a lot of people do takeout there which keeps the wait times down. We don’t typically have to wait all that long. I alternate between staple favorites(e.g., salmon roll, tuna roll) and specials, which can be quite a lot of fun depending on the season.

Unlike Murasaki I have visited earlier in the week, Hana sushi is ran by Chinese owners. My friend and I stopped by this place after shooting at Halls. It’s small and cozy, like most who visited in the past had mentioned. However, the sushi was nothing like expected. My friend had ordered bean curd sushi, tuna sushi and ika(squid) sushi. I must admit, she was«terrified» to some extent. The tuna sushi, was not fresh at all. The top layer of it was as dark as black(shown in photo). And the rice in all her sushi was warm, which is not right at all. Need not to mentioned that they either didn’t include any/not having enough vinegar in the rice. It’s couple bucks cheaper per meal compared to Murasaki, but the drop off in quality is way too significant for the price differential. I personally had a pork curry Katsu myself and it was okay. Besides the food, their professionalism is also concerning. My friend and I both happen to understand Mandarin and we overheard their conversation when we were dining; their conversation was loud and full of swearing. It surely doesn’t convey a very friendly environment to us either. 1.5÷5 Not recommended.

Hana sushi is a little gem. It has always been a favorite of my family’s. The staff are all very friendly and always smiling. My fiancée and I ordered rolls and a lunch special. I requested no roe because of my gluten and soy allergies and the waitress made sure I could eat the other ingredients in the rolls before leaving the table. It was impressive how fast the sushi came out. They were as beautiful as they were delicious. My fiancé really enjoyed his box and especially liked the small fried potato item which had a brown sauce on it. We ended up ordering three more rolls to go for my mother, which were made and boxed up for us in minutes.

Hana Sushi is one of my favorite sushi restaurants in the area. Believe it or not good sushi is all about the rice and most sushi places I go to these days are serving overcooked, cold and/or old rice or even worse the wrong kind of rice. Hana uses good quality rice and you can tell. They have many of the typical rolls but also have some of the more inventive specials I’ve seen. The specials are always changing and are written on two whiteboards in the small welcoming interior. I highly recommend Hana especially for lunch. they have excellent lunch specials at great prices. Their 2 roll combo is $ 9 and includes miso soup, ginger salad and what they call«potato homestyle.»(Potato homestyle turns out to be a well executed croquet which is actually a very typical food in Japan; they serve them at McDonald’s there!) The croquet is topped with the traditional Bulldog sauce which you may have had on tonkatsu. Their service has always been excellent and attentive. The owner, a younger Chinese, woman is often there and that’s important in a small restaurant. Consistent quality is a hard thing to attain and Hana sushi has done it well. Hana isn’t «fine dining» but you may find yourself eating better sushi here than some of the local«gourmet» sushi places.

My sister-in-law and I were looking for a place to grab something good but quick before a movie and found Hana Sushi on Unilocal. We got out the door a little later than expected so we called in a takeout order but also asked if we might be able to eat it in the restaurant if we ended up having time. Having worked in restaurants for years I know how obnoxious this request is(basically trying to circumvent a no call-ahead policy), but the woman I spoke with was really nice and said it was fine. Our food was ready when we got there so we didn’t have to eat in our car! And it was delicious. The vegetable tempura was notable, and I really enjoyed the volcano roll, but really everything we had was excellent and made with fresh, quality ingredients. They were so nice and accommodating on top of having amazing food. I will definitely be back. I’d also like to note that it is a small place, but somehow they seem to strike a happy balance of steady business without being overrun and crowded(I read that they had quick, friendly service in a Unilocal review despite being small before committing to going here, since time was a concern, and it was true!). It was a Wednesday night that we went, and there were two families with happy small children in the restaurant with us. I was impressed – maybe the kids just like sushi, but the menu is comprehensive enough even for picky kids with plenty of sushi but also a substantial entrée selection.

Wow… my new favorite Sushi joint in the Manchester area. Delicious Sashimi… very fresh. An excellent selection of specialty rolls with combinations I have never had before at other sushi locations. The Edamame was absolutely perfect. I also tried the Yaki Udon and the noodles were cooked perfectly with outstanding flavor. This is a small restaurant and it can get crowded(never a bad sign). Don’t let the location fool you this is a top notch sushi restaurant and I will be back.

I have loved everything from here. Service is so kind, which can be hard to find at some Asian restaurants, honestly. Will continue to eat in and take out!
