I had high hopes for this consignment shop. It seemed to be high-endish with unique items. Unfortunately, I found what I consider to be a trend that should be abolished — painting wood furniture white or with chalk paint. I would much rather buy a piece that is worn and restore it myself. Or at least an older piece that someone took the time to acknowledge its value and restore themselves — not slap(or spray) paint all over it, add some hardware from Hobby Lobby and call it good. No. Just no.

A nice very well organized consignment shop. Quality selection and reasonably priced.

Nice shop for picking up unusual items. They consign larger items, might buy smaller ones. Nice furniture pieces, local lotions/soaps. Some ladies fashions. Worth peeking in regularly to spruce up your place or find a unique present. Looks like they are trying to move into a bigger place so keep eye open for new location in future. Good idea, they need more space.

Neat place. I come in periodically when I’m in the area. Great for decorating unique spaces, lots of locally made products, interesting clothing that I often think would be great for murder mystery parties that I host. Lots of vintage items — which I love. Very cluttered, and they recognize this as apparently they’ve purchased new space and are just trying to sell their current location. I went to an estate sale they were hosting in Manchester and was a little annoyed when a sign posted that items that were tagged were half price that day(i had about $ 35.00 on the tags) and a worker told me to fill up a box for $ 5.00(which I did) and when I got outside, I was given a $ 75 bill… so I put most of it back. Will be much more careful in the future.

This place is AMAZING. I cannot even hashtag enough words to describe how much I enjoy shopping at OPUS, but I will try.#friendly #greatselection #highend #variety #helpful #unique #fun #awesome #greatwaytospendaday #deals! #everythingIwantandmore Seriously, this place is a blast to look through. I have never left empty handed. My apartment is posh and chic and the envy of all my trendy hipster friends. I owe it all to OPUS! Plus, the girl at the counter is hilarious and awesome. YAYOPUS! If you ever need to furnish an apartment, need a nice accent piece for a room in your house, or need to buy a gift for someone special OPUS is the place for you. It’s so much fun to look around at all of the ecclectic styles they have there. Even if you don’t know what you want to buy, take a walk through the store, I guarantee the stuff they have there and the friendly design specialists they have working there will get you to that special piece in no time. Don’t buy cookie cutter mdf furniture from the big box stores, shop at OPUS and have your friends fall in love with what you buy!

Consigners beware. I have consigned with them a few times over the past few years. They have gotten increasingly disorganized. My stuff is either lost, stolen or misplaced or some unknown account is credited for the sale of my items. I have made numerouse attempts in person and via telephone calls to resolve the problem and NEVER receive a return phone call. The bottom line is they take in your stuff and keep your money!

Happened upon this place by accident. Full of interesting clothing, furniture and decorative items. Yes, one should be aware of value of items and going rate on used goods before shopping, in general. I bought three items totaling about $ 250. I will go again, but make sure I plan enough time to browse and checkout. It was a rather busy afternoon and I had to wait about 10 mins. for one customer’s items to be processed.

My second visit to OPUS yesterday with my two BFFs was part of our tour of consignment and thrift shops. While OPUS is categorized as a HIGHEND shop due to the items they carry, I found several items in their store during our trip that either didn’t belong there, or they were trying to pass them off as items they did. Extremely dissapointing. For example, one pair of rather cute(off brand) shoes that looked like cowboy boots had an OPUS price sticker on the bottom of one shoe for $ 27.98. On the bottom of the OTHER shoe, there was a sticker from another local discount store for $ 6.99! HOWRUDE! While they were not my size, I felt compelled to bring this to the clerks attention. I waited at the desk while she finished her personal cell phone call(again — rude). When I showed the shoes to her with the two different stickers, she did say thank you but was not at all surprised. Hmmm. Example #2. Cute pair of(used) earrings, for sale $ 15.00, upon careful inspection, there is a bead missing. Again, I show this to the clerk. Overall, not impressed with OPUS. I’ll stick to my «boutiques» as I call them. The low end, thrift stores, where people typically donate their items to the greater good of mankind, and the items are fairly priced for their condition.

I love OPUS, I really do. This was the most productive stop I made while shopping for my last move, in April. I picked up a couch, a loveseat, two end tables and a lamp for just over $ 500 and I love every single piece. The ladies who work here are great — super friendly, fun and helpful. I spoke with Mona when I picked out the couch and loveseat, and she was enthusiastic and made my experience fun. I couldn’t pick up my items until the following week, and they held them for me for no charge. The items are ecclectic, old and new, fun and useful — a little bit of everything. Some of the prices may seem high but they only consign or sell quality goods, worth their tag. If you have time, check it out. You might fall in love.

While exploring Manchester’s West End, I stumbled upon this fairly large consignment shop, called OPUS. «Other People’s Unique Stuff» Its in an old mill/warehouse on S. Main St. and Varnum Ave. Its very clean and they take in many types of high end consignments such as art, furniture, vintage clothing, dishes, tables, jewelry, brick-a-brac, etc. The store was very neat, clean, and organized. Not overly stuffed. The items I looked at were priced very well, and prices in items decline as time goes on, similar to Filene’s Basement. I got a pleasant hello and a smile from the woman behind the counter. I did not buy anything today but would like to come back for another look some time.
