I have shopped here a few times, they have a good selection of wine at all price points, hence the stars. However, the store is crowded and dingy, and the employees are not friendly at all. Taking my money was as if though they were doing me a favor. There are better choices in Manchester.

Pretty much the only liquor store in the area that I’ve gotten consistently good wine recommendations. Staff knows their wine. Always pleasant and willing to help pick something more out. Shares a parking lot with Shop Rite.

I considered knocking a star off this five star store because it IS kind of grungy inside — and yes the aisles are very crowded, the look is definitely dirty or something, maybe old carpets or whatever — can’t put my finger on it — but it’s definitely not an upscale store and the florescent lights don’t help. HOWEVER it’s a terrific liquor store and they carry just about everything you could ever want, liquor wise. So while it lacks the«look» it doesn’t lack the stock. And the prices are the BEST! The reviewer who mentioned the young people working behind the counter, I have to agree with although I wouldn’t have thought to mention it but I have felt the same way when I see them. OTOH, a job is a job is a job and if they’re earning a living, good for them. But it probably adds to the unpleasant look of the place. They carry all my cooking/baking favorites — for example I swear by Old Monk rum for italian baking and they always have it in stock at the best, bottomline price. If I’m feeling daring, and want to try something new, they are knowledgeable when it comes to making wine or liquor recommendations because I don’t know anythign about wines for drinking so I have found they’re good for very reasonably priced and creative suggestions. They know their stuff and they carry it, too. Plus they’re pretty close by and their prices are the best. So I’ve decided to give them the fifth star. :D

Ok, this store is filthy inside and some of the customers are pretty gross too but bottom line-they have a great inventory and the lowest prices in the area. The employees are pretty friendly. Some are pretty young– it always kinds of freaks me out to see really young people, probably under 21, working the checkout at a liquor store, but hey-as long as its legal. They also have a few guys standing around to cut down on theft and under-age buying. They were intimidating at first but are helpful at showing you where things are also. Plus I’m 27 and always pay for my purchases, that helps. I drink vodka mostly, no wine or beer, they have really great variety here and once again-the lowest prices in the area. They have flavors at this store that I can not find at any other stores in Manchester or Glastonbury. My mom drinks wine and prefers to come here when she needs to stock up for a party. I believe they’ll even place orders in advance for you. This place is in the same plaza as Shop Rite, so its easy to pop in there after grocery shopping.

I was searching for local brews and found it here. Though I would have wanted more singles vs 6 packs, they had an impressive beer selection of imported and locally made ones– and I loaded up on a few(I’m only here for a few days, after all. And my bro ain’t no be guzzling fiend like I am!). Glad to know someplace close that has a good supply o booze– hooray!
