The food is pretty good, but the prices are seriously outrageous. $ 17 for spring rolls and vegetable fried rice? Too much for this broke college student. I guess I’ll come back here when my dinner doesn’t cost twice as much as I make in an hour.

Over the past several years I’ve been here about half a dozen times. My sense of the place is pretty consistent. The food rates more than the 3 stars I’ve given it. The ingredients are always fresh, well prepared, and very tasty. The menu offers many options, although emery too much of the fish is deep fried. All salmon choices are deep fried. This is truly a disappointment! The service and communication with wait staff is also disappointing. Last night was no exception. It was very hard to communicate my needs, although I was only requesting minor changes. She assured me that all soup broth was vegetarian, but then indicated the two soups I should choose from. The bathrooms are pretty awful and need to be redone! They might be clean, but both the men and women in our group noticed the poor conditions.

I’ve been eating here on and off for years. The staff is absolutely the best and the food is even better. I ordered a take out order and received the wrong food (it happens-no big deal). I returned with the wrong order to exchange for the correct one, and they told me to take it home and try it. It was great! And now I have another favorite dish from there. Great food and great people… Highly recommend !

Sukhothai is the best Thai food we’ve ever had! We try different thai places wherever we travel and so far none compare to Sukhothai– even in NYC. The sriracha fried rice and spicy noodle are the most addicting plates we’ve ever had. The flavors are amazing. Other faves are the red curry, drunken noodle and the drunken chicken. We’ve tried the sticky rice with mango and also the green tea ice cream for dessert. Both good. This place will not disappoint. Great service and cute décor. We are lucky to have such an awesome place so close by!

I feel it’s about time I review this restaurant. I have been here with my fiancée multiple times, sampled a few dishes and even done takeout. For starters I highly recommend the wonton soup and the Thai iced tea, the soup is one of the most flavorful wonton soups I have ever had and the tea is addicting. They use roasted garlic to really kick it up a notch. Now as far as main dishes go, my favorite is the spicy noodles with pork. It has a great spicy kick and the pork is delicious and tender. If you prefer a rice dish, try the basil fried rice with your choice of meat. The rice is tender and is served up with crisp peppers and onions with fresh basil leaves. The flavors are amazing, but if you want to do it right ask for the red chili sauce and add some on top. It’s legit !!! The drunken noodle dish is also really good and has a great roasted flavor but I’d give the edge to the spicy noodles. I have tried a few appetizers but nothing I’ve tried really stands out. Now why didn’t I give it five stars ??? One reason: portions. No matter what main dish you order, the lunch and dinner portion is the same. If you’re going to charge more for a dinner portion then you need to make it bigger. Additionally when it comes to portions it is really difficult to achieve that nice full feeling unless you order a soup or appetizer to go with it. That is something this place needs to address and I hope they read this review. It won’t stop me from going there, I still love it and will continue to be a loyal customer. If you want some delicious Thai food, give this place a try. I definitely recommend it.

Food was delicious. Service was friendly and attentive. Everything we’d wanted, and more. This was our first time here. We will be back.

Don’t judge a book by its cover… Is a perfect way to describe this place… The ambience is a lil putting off, very drab and boring not inviting at all so wat do u do… Takeout, simple .I felt the food was a lil greasy but then again it’s restaurant food, grease is their main ingredient? Despite that and the décor, the food tastes really good(that’s what matters). Note: cash only if the bill is under 10 bucks.

My in-laws have been going here for years and now my family absolutely love this place. Go for the drunken noodles!

Take out Shrimp Pad Thai… Not fresh… tasted reheated… overcooked dry shrimp, strips of dried out tofu, tough large pieces of scallion, soggy bits of peanuts. Everything about this first taste of Sukhothai was a disappointment.

For my first time here I wasn’t too impressed. We arrived here a few minutes before 3 and the place was completely dead. The interior of the restaurant was nice and the atmosphere is comfortable. Originally we were going to order 2 entrees off the lunch special menu(from 11 – 3) but since our waitress got around to us at 3:02 they decided not to honor it. Really 2 minutes and we were their before 3 regardless. We ordered Thai spring rolls, coconut soup, and ginger with fried rice and vegetables. The spring rolls were absolutely delicious and the dipping sauce for it was perfect. The coconut soup and ginger however were both terrible. Both had little flavor to them and were very bland. I’ve had both of these foods at other Thai restaurants and they came out much better. I will not be returning to this place the next time I’m in the mood for some Thai

This is by far my family’s favorite local Thai place, so much so that we had our rehearsal dinner for our wedding here. The staff is super friendly, the Chang beer is delicious, and every dish I’ve tried(and I’ve tried many) is perfect. My favorite appetizer is the Mai Thai which is a delicious dumpling with crispy garlic and a mix of pork and shrimp filling with a yummy sauce. Their pineapple curry is lick your fingers good and I usually have a hard time ordering anything other than that. Try the specials board and be prepared to take a bite of everyone’s dish at your table. Family favorites are the drunken noodle, orchid chicken, and pineapple fried rice. Be sure to ask for the sambal olek with your meal to spice it up. So good.

Gotta be the best Thai food I’ve had so far. I’ve introduced my friends to this place and they agree. Every time I get takeout here, it’s DELICIOUS! Not only when I’m craving it, but this is my go-to spot if I’m ever unsure what to get for lunch/dinner. You can’t go wrong here. I recommend their curries + tofu … so rich and flavorful. The yellow curry is my fave. Their pad thai and drunken noodles are on point too. Friendly service and reasonable prices. I have never left here dissapointed!

Their chicken pad thai is on point. Prolly in my top 3 for pad thai dishes. Had the mango stickey rice for dessert. That was also pretty good. I will be back

Vegetable pad Thai is amazing, and it’s made to order. I always get it without mushrooms, and it’s never an issue. My boyfriend gets pork fried rice, and the spare rib app. Both are very good. The pork fried rice isn’t like the Chinese food variety. The pieces of pork are actual bite size pieces, which is why this dish can easily serve as a meal. Major con is no delivery, but pick up is ready in 15 mins.

We really enjoyed chatting with the wait staff. They were very pleasant and promptly attended to us. I got a special — Mango Crispy Duck. It was delicious! The vegetables were all very fresh. My wife got Panang Curry and the veggies there were fresh too. We’re lucky to have this place nearby to us in Manchester. We’ll be exploring options for take-out…

I really liked their green curry. I have tried it with beef and seafood and both worked well for me. I have also tried their noodles… Not bad, but I still recommend their curry. Ice Thai tea is a ‘must have’ every visit.

Sukhothai is my local go-to, hole-in-the-wall Thai place. They are nestled on a corner of Main Street in Manchester, with plenty of free street parking. What I love about this place is that the food is always so very fresh, and cooked to order incredibly fast. You can get in and get out, if you’re in a hurry, or kick back and savor every bite if you’re on a date. It has a great, cozy atmosphere. I’ve had the spicy pad thai, the mango yellow curry, and the spicy drunken noodle, all of which were great. I will say that the portion size has diminished as bit over the years, but alas, the food is still a great value. As far as getting the spice level of your dish right, order one up from the level you’re used to, as they approach heat very carefully here. Or better yet, just get some chilies on the side. Can’t go wrong there. This is not a super fancy, frilly, showboat Thai place. It’s just a little Thai nook that can satisfy your noodle or curry needs, in a low-key spot. So, don’t expect crazy presentation, or fancy décor. Do expect to have great conversation in the small dining room, over yummy food, with the inevitably interesting company you’ve brought with you.

I live down the street and was excited about the potential for gaining a Go-To Thai restaurant. I ordered in on my way home from work, and the lady that answered the phone was so pleasant — seriously just call her when you’re having a bad day, she’s so happy it makes you happier. I ordered the panang curry(extra spicy) and beef pad see ew. The panang curry definitely did not disappoint with the level of spice, however it was quite oily and the chicken wasn’t all too appealing, but the taste was all there. The beef bad see ew was advertised to include chinese broccoli(my fav!) however, it had about one piece of chinese and the rest contained regular pieces of broccoli, strange. The taste was also sweeter than my liking(i’ve yet to find a Thai restaurant’s pad see ew that compares to my Go-To back home!) Overall, its good Thai, not great but good. The service is great, and the dining room seems pleasant for a night out to eat.

There are not a lot of thai options in Connecticut. I lived in San Francisco and Los Angeles for many years where thai restaurants were abundant. Sukhothai was… ok. I had the mango chicken which sounded great but was pretty average. I really liked their yellow curry though. That dish was above average in my opinion.
