Yamoto Japanese Steakhouse

Yamatos is always good. The steak is great and the Pikachu roll is amazing. Best miso soup ever! I don’t write a ton of reviews but our server tonight, Xiubin Pan was soooo amazing and outstanding, I had to say something. She is learning English still and yet our entire order was absolutely perfect and quick! Our drinks never went dry either. I accidentally left my Vape on the table, a very expensive DNA 200 box mod, and she ran out into the parking lot to give it to me.

I will be honest, we were a few tad disappointed when we learned that this was not a hibachi restaurant BUT the food was just as good and half the price AND you can get any of it for take out! The service was excellent! We will definitely be coming back!

The sushi is fresh, love the spicy girl roll! The wait is dependent on how busy they are. There is only one sushi chef. They are reasonable, and certainly the best sushi in a 30+ mile radius.

Food was great. Sushi was well sliced but seemed bit pricey.

As far as looks, inside & out, not tooo much to see… but our waitress, Amber! OMG! She’s the best EVER! She got a 30% from all 4 of us! The food is great! Their Yimmy Sauce is AMAZING! I had the Imperial Dinner which is about $ 14! We all loved it! I even bought some Yimmy Sauce to take back home!

Stopped here while driving to Atlanta, despite the previous review and probably should have went somewhere else. The waitress could barely understand English and kept having to get another girl to translate to take my order. There was no other customers in there so there was no wait. I got my soup and salad first. Miso soup was luke warm and not that great, salad came out with no dressing and I had to wait for my waitress to get the other girl to know what I was wanting… About 8 minutes later I got my food and it tasted ok but definitely not the best Japanese food. The steak was chewy and fried rice was plain and only has scallions in it. To top things off while I was paying my check at the register and asked the other girl if I could get a drink to go. She went to get it and apparently the waitress told her no I couldn’t have a to go drink. So yeah, I am guessing that my waitress is the owner or manager or something along those lines. Whatever the case might be I thought her rude attitude deserved a rude attitude back and I left without giving her a tip!

Food was okay, nothing special. Priced at a good rate for what it is. Basically they cooked food and smothered it in teriyaki sauce
