Radio Shack ain’t what it used to be.
If you need a part and decide to try Radio Shack, check their website first. Find the part number and if it’s not highway robbery, click the find at store button to see if they have it in store. that’s no guarantee that they will have it when you get there. I usually grab the catalog number off the site and then call the store before I leave my house. This saves a wasted trip.
Looking for cell phone accessories, they got boat loads of them. But you may pay more than you should for it.
If you are in the market for a cell phone or satellite tv service, then this is the place for you. I suppose it’s a big money maker for them since they always try pushing that crap on you when you check out. If you are an electronics hobbist, then you better not go to Radio Shack looking for components unless you know what they are and where to find them in the store. It seems like management only trains the employees to sell above mentioned phones and satellites and the occasional overpriced battery.
Every once in a while you will find a product that is actually offered at a fair price. Usually this is on a clearance sale item.
Don’t get me wrong, sometimes you find an employee there that actually knows something and can be of help to you. The service I have encountered at this location, and others, has been spotty.
One big plus about Radio Shack is that they have a great 30 day return policy with no restocking charge. Just don’t try to bring something back in beat up packaging missing the accessories. Save that stuff for Wal-​Mart.

Need a charger for your phone? Check
Need some random part for something electronic? Check
Need a cord to play music through your car stereo? Check
Need a power inverter to keep your kids appeased with a DVD player in the car? Check
These are the things I have used this Radio Shack for in the past year. I wouldn’t use them for a big purchase like a TV or computer, but until I wrote this review, I had forgotten how useful a Radio Shack can be.
